Thanks Gary, for sharing this with us; "hard-times across the land, means no work for a railroad man" (Greenville Trestle lyrics) feels that way w/ being outta work~couldn't afford the ticket. Here's to 2021
I can imagine locomotives just like this in branch lines across North America if they got fitted with modern steam features. Lempors, internal streamlining, GPCS, compounding, the works.
Gary, is there any info you can give me about some tracks in the Pittsburg/Bay Point/Concord area? On the right side of Concord, there are a bunch of tracks that go into weird little imprints in the hill they're on. Next to those, there is a yard/storage tracks. Any idea on what those are? And what that spur was used for? I assume it was owned by ATSF. Where the spur comes from, there are a bunch of small industry sidings and it comes from the main in Bay Point. I also assume the tracks they come from were once used as storage for the Mococo Line but I'm not sure. Any info on any of these would be appreciated!
@@locoboose1 Thxs Gary.. I happen to catch that one shot of the SP geep coming off the branch and was just wondering if you had more.. I enjoy your channel.. 🤗
Wish them good luck with rebuilding 1744. Can't wait to see it running when it's done in a few years.
Nice to see boxcar's without graffiti all over my them, the locomotive a winner too, must have been recently painted or shopped. 🤠

🌷Very nice
Hey Gary.. I looked thru your videos and was just wondering if you have old pics/footage of SP trains on the San Ramon Branch? David
With the exception of a couple I might have at Radum where it joined the mainline in Pleasanton, the answer is no.
