thank you for your helpful video. I'm struggling finding the suitable contract for a project, wondering what are the steps/ criteria to consider when selecting contract. Also for each contract form (ECC, ECS, etc..) do they have the same 6 options ? When being asked to choose an NEC contract option, does that mean I need to choose both the contract form (ECC, PCC, etc.) and the options (from A-F)? Many thanks
The contract form you use will depend on multiple factors, including the nature of services and level of risk involved. The contract option determines the method in which services are paid for, and how risk is shared between parties.
I just stumbled upon your videos and love how concise and to the point they are. Can you please comment on how the NEC4 can accommodate nominated suppliers/subcontractors in the same principle as the JCT? Which documents/clauses of NEC4 ECC needs to be amended to achieve this? I am a student and this is for a university assignment. Thanks
