- I know it's been a hot second since we uploaded part 1 of the Africa Vlogs... excuse our PREGNANCY announcement for a sec lol. RWANDA VLOG IS OFFICIALLY HERE!!!
What did you think of the gorilla trekking?!
Our journey in this episode takes Brennan and I into Kigali to the Rwandan Genocide Memorial, before winding through the mountains and hills to the One&Only Gorilla's Nest, nestled at the foothills of Volcanoes National Park.
Aside from the indulgent luxury the One&Only Gorilla's Nest showered us with at every turn -- our experience with the Mountain Gorillas was... IMPOSSIBLE to put words to. This experience changed us, and Rwanda stole our hearts.

I loved this so much! I have always wanted to go to Rwanda & see the gorillas in the mist since I was 19 and heard someone talk about their amazing experience there. Can't wait to go there one day with my family. ❤❤❤
I’m actually amazed that you knew about this! That is SO cool! I feel like generally people think of the Great Migration in Tanzania & Masai Mara, and like Botswana & Namibia when they think about wildlife viewing in Africa… which, IS FREAKING EPIC as well. Don’t get me wrong for a second…
But gorillas 🥰😍💗💗💗 the gorillas 🦍 stole Brennan and my hearts. Where we stayed, the people of Rwanda, the culture, the history….. the MOUNTAINS! And, the most incredible experience we’ve ever had… all happened with the gorillas in Rwanda.
I literally cannot contain myself that you will be there with your family! It’s such a dream!!! You will never regret it! It’s a transcendent experience! 💗🥰

Listening to your outro chat I can't help but wonder what your astrocartography looks like in correlation to Rwanda (I'm an astrologer so of course my brain goes there) but IDK I just see you in a different light in this vlog like you truly look ELATED and so relaxed in this environment. AH! ALL THREE of my birthlines -- Neptune, Uranus, and Mars all run through it! Which is fascinating, because there was something different that I connected to. Something I felt, that was just... home. Brennan and I both felt it, but it was deep and profound.

I love to watch gorilla documentaries!It must have been a wonderful experience seeing gorillas in their habitat. I wish to do the same especially that you mentioned there are flights from here in Dubai!
I'm so glad you enjoy watching this! I loveee watching animal documentaries too - but something just hits different about Gorillas. They are SO insanely similar energetically to us. Its magic!
And yes! We found more than a few flight options! Emirates flys to Rwanda as well, just not direct!

Manifesting Rwandaa!!!! Kathrin what camara do you use to record your Vlog?
YOU WILL LOVE RANDA!! (The locals call it Randa 💗)
We use a few cameras and lenses. But this was shot on Sony. An A7III-C (for vlogging facing us), and a Sony A7III for the broll and other shots. We used a bunch of lenses on this trip (rented a Sony GM 200-400, and 400-600 for what you’ll see in the next vlogs) and we currently use a Zeiss 18mm 2.8 for vlogging, and Sony GM 24-70, 85 1.4, and 12-24 1.4)

It was such an incredibly beautiful experience, that I feel DEEPLY compelled to teach and to break the narratives that these are in some way scary or "beasts", or whatever story we make about them. They are the GENTLEST giants -- with deep hearts, family values, and a spiritual connection to us in a way words cannot describe! Divinity and consciousness is an majestic way of putting it
