You ever walk and chew gum at the the same time? Ever drive while listening to the radio? Ever watched classical musicians sight read and perform their instruments at the same time? The brain is perfectly capable of multitasking. It’s generally when you’re developing or learning something new that it requires your full faculties, especially when it’s not yet ingrained in ‘muscle memory’.
Actually multi tasking is an illusion, your really just rapidly switching between different brain and motor functions, but your brain processes information faster and more efficiently on one task at a time than multiple so on a scientific, factual, and irrefutable level it’s more productive to do one thing at a time

I wouldn’t be call your examples multitasking. A brain can only focusing on one task at a time, while in your cases, the other tasks are practiced to a level where you don’t actively perform them. Further, for the example of driving and radio, it actually takes attention away from the road because you are constantly switching between listening and driving, or are driving on mental autopilot.

However narrow your channel of attentional awareness is, or isn’t, it is still, merely, component to many other features, and processing channels. The brain, is much more, than simply processing novel information, which it’s attentively aware of, at any given moment.

Um, I was thinking the same thing. My left hand and right hand are doing two different things while playing guitar and my mouth is singing at the same time. Wouldn’t that be three. Not to mention my eyes are site reading the music and this is all at the same time.

Sense of time isn’t really a sense. We can tell time by looking at the sky and sun. If you’re trapped in a completely dark room for days, you would never be able to tell how long you’ve been in there
I can wake myself up at a particular time without relying on an alarm clock altho set clock as a backup.

Temperature isn’t recognized the same way as being touched so trust me it’s not sense of feel and your equilibrium is correlated to the movement of the fluid in your ear

Our brain can't multi-task? But I play my piano or ukulele, read music and sing at the same time. I have to admit I have trouble with driving though. I think the traffic causes me too much stress. That's why I got myself a bicycle instead.
I think it's because you're not reading the music at the exact same time you're playing the piano or playing the piano at the exact same time while singing. There could be a split second between the two actions because it does take time for the information to get processed. It could happen so fast that you just don't notice it.
Time is a man made one to keep us 3 dimensional.
Start to MEDITATE and imagine no time height or distance and see what you become.

MY hands look exactly like that with the big blue veins now so got my attention. But I lost half my body weight, bad gallbladder had to be removed, almost died so very happy to still be alive haha! Mirror now looks like I could be female Joker HaHa. Rough year. ;-} Idk why in the pic, but that’s why hands & arms got that way; muscle & weight loss. :)
