Followed your video as the thumbrule for my project of a 120 inch screen. Thanks. I collected a calibrated Grey Card from a colour Photo Printer shop. (Those still print in Photo sensitive colour Photographuic papers). They need to calibrate their machine after loading a fresh batch of paper roll. The calibrated sheet comes with more than 20 distinct bars of different grey shades begening with pure white to full Black. I found out the 12% grey shade from them and used that as the referrenece for the grey shade to use in my screen. I started adding black stainer in 300 ml of this paint and made a small 2cm X 7 cm patch on a finished, primered wall. Waited for 30 min. Compared the shade with the 12% grey portion of the calibration card. Went on adding stainer 3 drops at a time withthe same 300ml paint and kept on making patches beside the first one. Finally, I could have the desirted shade by mixing 12 drops of stainer in 300ml. Then prepared the rest of the paints by adding 28 drops in it. The math goes like- 12 drop in 300 ml. So 4 drops in 100 ml. So 40 drops in 1000ml. Already added 12 drops in the first 300ml. So added 40-12 = 28 drops in the rest. And them mixed the first trail 300ml and the rest 700 ml together. Mixed both very well. I hired a professional painter to finally apply the coat on the wall. because he has the expertise on rolling the roller peoperly. The final result is quite satisfying. By the way, I went by the recent understanding of 12% grey instead of the old copncept of 18% grey as the basic average density that every modern camera exposure mneters go by. And my projection room has quite high light leakage problem and its wall painting is not very dark. So, I wanted to kill that by making the wall as deep grey as 12% to have respectable Black saturation in p;rojection. Fortunately, the screen size is not too big and the projector gives respectable output of 3000 Lumens.
@siliguritube btw i had no issue with viewing angle. Hence, i moved onto the reflective screen. Created video as well. That is still very good for almost 3 years now
