mooncat is beautiful albeit a little expensive!! Michelle recently came out with a set called “Lost in a Folktale” and it is STUNNING. Mooncat is definitely worth your money and I personally like it a lot more than a lot of more luxury brands.
Yes they do tend to be more expensive since it’s smaller batches with more specialty formulas, but honestly so worth it if that’s your jam:) I just swatched that collection and it’s so stunning, I’ve never seen anything like it. I haven’t even tried like luxury nail polish but I don’t want to spend $50 on Hermes cremes, there’s no way it’s worth it and I could get at least four bottle of MoonCat for that price so 😅
As OP says, it's definitely worth _your_ money. I'll just watch satisfied from the sidelines, lol!
Actually I was thinking of a combo of the knit sweater ones and these. Like not ask mixed into one, although... oh, but like do a ring and/or a pointer with this polish and the rest that gorgeous white knit sweater look. Idk, I'm kind of an idiot, so my looks are gonna be rather idiotic. 😅

I always get too many ideas & too many polishes at the same time. Then I don't think it's the right season or something stupid. I have similar top coats as well. Gotta be in the right mood for a milky white. I do foils & gels, too, so it gets hard to decide what to use.

You’ve got the most stunning natural nails!!! Wow!!! ❤ Mine are a minefield with cracks, softness, and bumps. I hate them so I’ve been using acrylic and then glue on since I was 18 and I’m 65 now. When I find the right nail to fit to my natural nail and hold with the glue, I’m a happy girl!!! ❤

I feel like the glitter helps level the polish out, so if you have an off day but are desperate for glitter, you can apply a coat over a chipped past layer…and nobody will notice.

Beautiful. Looks like the photo has some kind of duochrome polish underneath to give it color shift.
Did you put a top coat? Ive noticed that polishes with glitter or holographic qualities really become amplified with a top coat. And of course which topcoat you use makes a difference. Think about how a matte top coat would do the opposite and even prevent the sparkle from showing. Also I've used 2 coats of top coat in the past to smooth out the gritty look that polishes with bigger glitter have. It's a struggle to keep the nail shape when you have so many coats. Especially when you have to put extra layers of the glitter polish to get the effect you want.😅
I feel like mooncats product photos don't always show what the polishes really look like in everyday life. Don't get me wrong, they do have beautiful colors. But after some disappointments I do quite some research before I buy a color that caught my eye.

Oh my goodness you have gorgeous nails!! I’ve honestly always wanted long natural nails and ever since seeing your channel a while ago I’ve been trying to grow them out! We’re you born with that shape of nail bed? Because my nail bed is so wide, so I wanted to know if I could make it skinner lol!
Aw tysm! I used to have very short nails bc I worked in food service and chewed them all the time but have been working on growing them out. My nail beds or sort of wide too, but the longer your nail is, the more it can kind of curve in on the sides a little bit and the slimmer it’ll look, at least that’s what I’ve found out through growing mine out. So the shorter they are the wider they’ll look? I hope this helps!

Hi! Hope you dont mind me chiming in. I have awkward wide and squarish thumbnails. Like if i let them grow out naturally they make my thumbs look stubby. So the best thing is to grow them out and shape them more almondish shaped to give the illusion of longer fingers :) so it’s all in the shaping!

What I do for full opacity on mine is base coat, disposable triangle sponge and dab it on the nail. 2 coats of that. Maybe go over it with the brush. Then seal.
They last *forever* and Mooncat is def one of my all time favorite nail brands

How do you wear regular nail polish in between your gel manicures? Do you do gel overlay underneath and wear nail polish on top? It's awesome that your nails stay strong despite the buffing with gel. I'd love to know how you pull that off!
I don’t wear gel polish super often:) Sometimes I’ll wear it with a peel off base coat so it comes off easier and I try to not buff my nails. My nails aren’t the strongest but I do try to care for them by wearing gloves while washing dishes and using oil/hand cream every day and just be careful with them in general so that they don’t break. I’ve tried wearing a gel polish underneath nail polish but sometimes they react with each other and have weird results so I stopped 😅 I hope this helps!

I love that you are able to have fun nails without using an e file or severley damaging your naked nails. I would love to know what your regular manicures are like. Hi tysm, I really really appreciate it! And yes, here are some things that have really helped me 🥹 I used to have nail nubs but doing these things constantly have changed my life:)
- Use a gentle file, 180 grit or higher or a glass file, don’t clip or use a cheap abrasive file that shreds your nails
- Gloves every single time you’re doing dishes or cleaning, water is so so bad for your nails
- Don’t use your nails as tools! Use a spoon to open cans, don’t rip open packages with your nails, etc etc.
- Always wear polish or gel, bc it’s like armor for your nails
- Round nail shape, square shape tends to break on corners because it’s a stress point (especially with bare nails)
- Put on cuticle oil + lotion at night before bed, more cuticle oil during the day if you can

@@meiravv for almond you have to have more length than for square, so I would let them grow out and just do a gentle round shape for now, square shape can add a lot of pressure on the sides and the corners can break off which is sad. I hope this helps!
