Good morning Beautiful People! There is an uploading error starting at 18:17:05. The video is still under processing and it could take a few hours to be ok. Please fast forward at mark 19:04:05 to avoid the audio loop. Thank you! Love you, Sara & Luca
luca i like your craftmenship , sara ,that is a great recipe, what bothers me is that you two were out playing in the snow, and no snow man !!!! still a great vlog !!! waiting for the next !!
Hi from Texas Beautiful People! When you mentioned the things to keep you warm, you left off each other!! Never take for granted the opportunity to hold each other close during the cold nights, for all our days are numbered. I wish I had heeded this advice at your age; at 65, time is running out much too fast!! Love you guys!!!!!
Baklava is one of my favorite desserts! Love anything using phylo dough, or honey, or chopped nuts, & Baklave unites them all! Bought 4 treats, 2 with filo, along with a Middle Eastern dinner yesterday: Stuffed Grape leaves, hummus, tabouleh, falafel, the mashed eggplant, (can't recall the name due to my aging brain), & perfect, fresh pita! Everything was perfect! Will have the baklava later. Yum! Soon will make a pot of coffee in my mom's Revere Ware stainless steel percolator, which IMHO, makes the best coffee, & enjoy some leftovers, along with a fresh salad for lunch. I love Greek foods, like Spanakopita, one of my all time favorite foods, along with Greek style green beans cooked with tomato, and Galaktoboureko to name a few. Happy New Year, to all, BTW! Love this episode, and watching the camaraderie of you 3 making cookies, & to see the snow laden trees surrounding your home, & the opening, with you both making "snow angels"! 😊
@@cherylanderson3340 Mashed eggplant is called bharta - "baingan bharta" where I come from; it also has some tomatoes (garlic, ginger and hot green pepper of course). Garnished with cilantro. Eaten with Roti (a kind of pita bread) it is one of my favorite dishes.
@@justforfux That sounds delicious, so I googled it & now I want to make some! Thank you.. I love curry too. I looked on the menu so I could write out the correct name of the eggplant side which I had, which is Middle Eastern. It is called Baba Ghanouj. I've had it so many times, & knew the name but couldn't recall it. Seeing it in print, I realized I didn't ever know how it was spelled, though. You've likely had it, if you like that kind of food. It was sprinkled with a dark brown spice, & is usually eaten with pita bread. I enjoyed putting it on pita bread with some Tabouleh &/ or a piece of Falafel.
Beautiful winter scenery my beautiful Luca + Sara. You all continue to inspire us. I’m going to try the minimalist challenge too. I did it back in 2011 when I moved to Australia. It felt so freeing!! I also loved your cookie recipes. My Italian grandma used to make similar ones for Christmas that were so yummy. Now she doesn’t cook as much but I carry on the tradition of making Italian food ( I make eggplant Parmesano for her... I’m not a great baker lol). Blessings from TN/USA. Hope you both stay warm + safe ❤️🥰
It’s so awesome you all can speak so many different languages! Love the cookies!! God Bless!! Beautiful place to live!! Hope some day I meet you two!!🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️
Minimalism is brilliant. I always admired how you travel the world with so little. Would you consider auctioning your items on eBay or similar to help fund your future travels and your community could own a beautiful token of your lives. If you put your moka pot up I'd bid for a world travelled momento. 🙌🙌
That particular moka pot /espresso maker is a very very personal treasure, not to mention, seasoned to perfection. If I was Sara, I’d keep as an heirloom. (If this was the pot they travelled with through the ‘Americas’ (??) - But,that’s just me.
I really love your videos❤❤Thank you for sharing your videos on Christmas and New Year. They keep me positive eventhough, my brother was in the hospital with covid. He is back home🤗🤗❤❤
I've been fallowing on the news all the snow you are getting, wow! Here in Canada we are used to lots of snow, but I guess you guys don't see that much snow. Stay warm and stay safe. We are under a lock down right now with 8:00 pm curfew. We are trying to slow down covid but it's not working.
The snow looks so beautiful! Several years ago a moved into a much smaller house and used the opportunity to sort through and get rid of many things I really didn't need. I donated so much stuff that they had to bring in a larger truck! It's a very freeing feeling cleaning your house of things you don't really need. Each time I get a call the donation truck will be in the neighborhood, I take the opportunity to donate even more things. Happy New Year!
Watching this video made my wife and I home sick. She was raised in Idaho and I was raised in Utah. Remembering all the snow and the cookies, homemade candy along with family get togethers. Thank you for reminding us of what matters. Excellent video and recipes. Very funny out takes. God bless and stay safe.
Wow all that snow, looks cold, I don't know how you do it! My wife has been cleaning out and getting rid of things for weeks now already, its a great feeling. Love you beautiful people.
I love the idea of getting rid of things. I think a lot of us have way more stuff than we need. I know I do. I like to give clothes away. Someone can always benefit from them.
Snow angels and cookies! What more can you ask for? Nothing but each other’s company. I loved seeing the drone footage of the trees and mountains covered in snow, something I have not seen now for 7 years since selling my house in Illinois! Beautiful!!! I am dying right now for a biscotti!! It’s so funny that here in the USA when at our Italian restaurants, we ask for biscotti, what we are given here is actually Skorpor (Swedish crunchy oblong twice baked, coffee dunking “cookies” made from left-over Swedish coffee cake). From now on, I am just asking for “sweet cookies”!!! Congratulations on donating. This is something we do every day, and we keep the pile to donate to our local women’s shelter, which is close by. These women, who have to escape abusive relationships, along with their children, have nothing whatsoever. It’s such a great feeling to help someone, at the same time making our lives easier by scaling down. Bravo, beautiful Sara and Luca. We love you 😍!
Sorry guys, I got carried away with “baking flours” - LOL - Don’t get mad a me. I Love watching Sara cook and bake and make so many things from ‘scratch’, she has truly ‘inspired me’ !! Much love! 💕 💕
Another fun video guys! The idea of getting rid of something every day is a good idea. I have SO much stuff, I will try this challenge too! Stay warm and safe! See you next time.
Congratulations on finishing the wall! That was a lot of work! It has only snowed once where I live and it all disappeared in a few days. I was relieved to hear that you have all you need (food, etc.) HAve a great week!
Beautiful cookies 🍪 Beautiful People 💖 Love You All Soo Dearly 🤗... Luca, you crack me up! 😂 And, Sara, the Love between You and Your Brother is heartwarming ❣️ Love You, Arlene 💜
Love the snow angels, the drone scenes of beautiful snow, cute Dave and yummy cookies! Take care of yourselves beautiful people! Love you both. ☮️✌🏼❤️❤️
I like the idea of getting rid of things every day! I have so much more than I need or use. I'm up for a version of that challenge.. I already have a bag started for the thrift store.
I am joining your challenge as have been doing this for the past months in lockdown. Have put out many things on the sidewalk with a free sign, taken over eight large garbage bags of clothing to donate, and cleaned out four closets and the garage. Not proud to say I still have quite a bit to still do. It’s embarrassing how much waste we accumulate. Living with my mother back in the family home as she’s going through dementia these past 5 years has taught me what’s really important. Things are not what creates happiness. Memories and love of family are the most beautiful things. Watching you make the cookies and laughter, the enjoyment of the snow fall, and the pride of accomplishment in making your home your own is wonderful!
Sara & Luca, thanks for the enjoyable video. The heavy snow is keeping you mostly under lock and key so appreciate your efforts with keeping us abreast of what's happening at home, keep them coming please.. stay well, Donna.
Hi, yes they live close the Italian alps, but it's less obvious then it could appear. May interest you that Italian territory is 35% mountain, for example this winter the peaks between Firenze and Bologna was covered by more then 6 foot of snow 😉
I can't imagine anyone ever giving them a hands down.they are such good sweet people from what I see two beautiful people also.and those cookies sure looked yummy.gets me in the mood to make some .
Before I relocated from a home to a 3 bedroom, 2,500 sqft apt, I completely filled a one-ton dumpster. Now, I miss those things I so hastily discarded. So many memories in those “things.” Just a cautionary tale. I would never be able to downsize from a 2,500 sqft home. Space allows me to breathe!
I lived in Germany and Austria and love beautiful Europe and the lovely, cozy traditions and the Christmas Markets across the Cities and lovely, old villages. Gluhwein! Sud Tyrol is so beautiful! Love when you speak in different languages!
Beautiful snowy scenery and I love the idea of give away, throw away, and keep thing to a minimal.cookie making was always a tradition at Christmas time and I used to plan vacation time before Christmas to bake and prepare for a feast. Great memories and it’s always nice to see Sara’s brother Dave. Stay well and thank you for sharing your beautiful life . 🥰❤️💕
An uncluttered home gives an uncluttered mind :) I minimized in March 2020 when I moved from Arizona to the mountains of North Carolina. Thanks for the cookie recipes - they look great!
Oh my gosh, what a beautiful winter wonderland. I grew up back east where we had lots of snow for Christmas and made angels in the snow. Thank you for bringing those memories back. As for getting rid of stuff, I’ve been doing that ever since the pandemic started. It feels so good to clean out all that stuff you don’t need. Ciao👩🌾
I have never wanted my possessions to own me. I so agree with you about lightening up & getting rid of the things that you don’t use. Clutter makes me feel suffocated! Have a great evening you two beautiful people!! 💞💞
Christmas cookie baking is a tradition. We always make the sugar cookies in many different shapes, Christmas trees, Santa, reindeer, wreaths, everything holiday then decorate with icing, sprinkles and red hot candy dots. Making memories- thanks for sharing your cookie tradition.
LOL - so many comments on minimalism - but what struck me the most was the time spent in the snow. There is nothing better than to be in the total silence of a heavy snow fall, with only the sound of your feet crunching in the new fallen snow. (I live in Florida now, and I miss the snow!)
When my daughter & I were getting ready to move to Ontario we downsized our books by about 500. The pandemic stopped the move, we are building up our library again. I will not be surprised if we replace the 500 with even more. Everything else we sold or donated we do not miss.
I am also getting rid of many things! Good time of year to clean and purge when we are limited in what we can go out and do! I wish we had snow here in the Sierras! Thank you for sharing your beautiful views and the funny out-takes!
You make such beautiful videos! The music and scenes are so relaxing and breathtaking! It’s so beautiful there and you two bring me so much joy! Thank you both for all your hard work to entertain us all!
Every year we made Christmas cookies with my mom - same recipes each year. Then we decorated their tree and ate pizza. After they died, we continued to make the cookies with all the kids in the family....so much fun and such a happy mess to clean up. This year we couldn’t do it because of COVID; my sister made some and shared them but we missed the family time. We can’t wait for next Christmas when we can keep this tradition again. Thanks for sharing❤️
Good morning☀🌞☕🍵 Alot of snow. Glad you have all your provisions. No trip to the store I guess. Love the cookies and your brother is quite handsome Sarah. Stay warm and safe. La Vita Bella❤
The heavy snowfall reminds me of my trip to Eastern Europe in Dec 2017, I really missed that trip as it was my first time enjoying such heavy snowfalls and I love the festive atmosphere of the Christmas markets. I told my sis that I would like to go back there again. There wasn't any snow when I was in Italy during Christmas period in 2018. So nice to live in 4-seasons country.
As always, a big smile on my face after watching this video. You will enjoy your life much better after you finish minimalizing. I embraced this many years ago and love it. Too much stuff causes confusion and wastes time. It has to become a lifestyle of course because you can find yourself getting more and more stuff over time that you really don't need. My biggest weakness is the paperwork monster and the antique or valuable handmade pottery that I inherited. I always thought that I'd give many of these to my daughter, but she and her husband have a different style and enjoy finding their own treasures whenever they vacation. She also has too much stuff. So now it's being saved for the Grandchildren. Love you both dearly. Thank you for the positive energy that you bring to my days and life. God bless always.
Oh! I loved the sound of your boots in the snow! Here in Alaska, we call that “squeaky-snow” ... when it sounds like that, it’s the perfect texture for snow-ball fights! ❄️❤️❄️
👍🏻❤️. I love that you are telling people about the importance of clearing out. When my mother passed in 2016 it was hard sorting out her ‘stuff’, it was memories, laughter, tears, & indecision about what to keep, what to pass, what to toss. When my baby sister passed in 2017 it was 100 times worse. I swore then I would never put my son through that. So even though I began sorting & eliminating things in 2017, I didn’t get ruthless with it until this new year. Now I am doing what I call my ‘Pandemic Purge’. What is the absolute least I can get by with, ? how much can I get rid of so if I pass my son doesn’t have to deal with it ? I am loving how empty my closets and cabinets are getting. 👍🏻 my husband is elder & frail, when he passes I’m selling the house, giving the money to my son, moving into a bus, and going to see all the places I’ve missed. Now is the time for life, not things. ❤️👍🏻❤️
Lucky Land is so beautiful with all that snow ❄️. I always do clean up with my kids every three months. It’s a great way to start the year. Love the challenge.🤗😘🌼🇻🇪
Thank you for sharing your wonderful life in Italy with us. Your love for life, family and each other warms my heart on this cold winter night. May this new year bring you happiness and new adventures. 💕
Buon pomeriggio I really love the snow I am so envious...we get snow so infrequently..☃️it’s 10 years since we last had any amount..in north East Lincolnshire because we are on the coast. .so I will have to enjoy 😊 your snow ..as always it cheers me up to see you guys grazie grazie Mille ciao ciao
I’ll do the challenge with you. I live in a small 475 sq ft apartment and even here I can accumulate too many things. It’s feels so good not to have things falling in on me. So the less I have here the better I’ll feel.
Right before Covid hit in NY/NJ, my dad got sick and I had to go to New Jersey to take care of my mom. I was gone for 6 months and lived out of a weekend bag. I have a closet full of cloths at home and have learned, I don't need most of them.
My family is from the Tyrolian region too; the village of Strigno in Trentino; my grandfather, Danielle Sartori, spoke German and Italian. That whole region was part of Austria until after WW1 when it was ceded to Italy.
I was diagnosed with cancer for the second time last year, Because I am much older than the first time I realized that I needed to sort and get rid of all of the "stuff" I had held on to for so many years. ( I had not only my things, but also 2 of my brothers had lived with me at the end of their lives so I had some of their things.). I did not want my daughters to have to make decisions about the disposal of the items left by my death. As I was going through testing and early in treatment my time at home was spent going through every closet, every drawer and every storage box. I trashed papers that were no longer needed while organizing the ones that were still needed. I donated no less than a 1,000 clothing items along with electronics, furniture and other items collected over time. A huge burden was lifted by doing this and I was able to have a say in who received those donated items. After all of that work I do not let things accumulate. I bring one thing in then one or two things go out.
My husband is Austrian, I am Canadian and I learned to make his mother's cookies - vanilla kipferln and the jam filled cookies. The recipes are very similar to yours so it was interesting to see you making them! Yummy!
I am married to a builder, and when the market crashed in the US, we had to pack up all our "stuff" and put it in storage to move. It is very interesting that after 4-6 years you realize that you obviously only don't need all that stuff...you've lived perfectly happily without all that 'stuff" for many years!! We have been ridding ourselves of "stuff" for 10 years....bits at a time, but once you start it's SO easy!!
Everything looks so beautiful! I love the quietness after it snows! 🤟💗 some of the thrift store in North Alabama are not taking items because they are too full! I've never seen that before! I have my car full of my things, but no where to take it.
Isn’t it crazy!? I’ve boxes of clothes that I’m desperate to donate and none of the thrift places are taking donations. These are nice work casual clothes that due to new requirements I cannot wear anymore in an average size. Normally it would be super easy to sell or donate. Not now!
Snow...so pretty to look at...so miserable to live in. Last week I had to take the window out of the back door to shovel away snow and ice so I could get the door open. I walked out yesterday to the mailbox for the first time in over a week and a half. It had snowed and then rained and then snowed again. I slipped and fell and couldn't keep my feet under me. The snowplow threw up huge chunks I had to climb over. Each step grabbed my foot and tripped me up. I'm sooooo over winter already. But it was gorgeous to look at. We had heavy fog in the day time which fell as frost at night and over about 5 days just kept building up. It was breathtakingly beautiful.
Beautiful winter Lucky Land. Happy to see Dave. Keep homesteading and maybe stock up on essentials. Pray for us in the USA! I’ve been so sad all week, I hope nothing else happens. Thank you for taking my mind off of things.
My aunt and gram always baked Christmas cookies. I reflect a lot on that. It’s a great tradition that I miss. It’s festive! Thank you for always having a variety of life in your videos ❤️❤️

It is snowing ing Austin Texas. Thisis very rare.
I have never wanted my possessions to own me. I so agree with you about lightening up & getting rid of the things that you don’t use. Clutter makes me feel suffocated! Have a great evening you two beautiful people!! 💞💞
Ah those Italian tones, even more musicale on my new speakers. Bella!

Mele Kalikimaka...Merry Christmas
Happy New Year...Hau'oli Makahiki hou
Aloha to you both!!
I am also getting rid of many things! Good time of year to clean and purge when we are limited in what we can go out and do! I wish we had snow here in the Sierras! Thank you for sharing your beautiful views and the funny out-takes!
Beautiful snow... a winter wonderland!!!
Good morning☀🌞☕🍵
Alot of snow. Glad you have all your provisions. No trip to the store I guess.
Love the cookies and your brother is quite handsome Sarah. Stay warm and safe.
La Vita Bella❤
Good morning you two beautiful snow angels❣❄☃️🌨🇮🇪 We got several inches last week but it's melted now. Glad you have what you need.
Absolutely sensational into!
As always the photography was beautiful ! Love the views with the drone! Thank you !
My family is still praying for you guys. Awesome video
Hello beautiful couple. Snow is so refreshing sometimes .
Lucky Land is so beautiful with all that snow ❄️. I always do clean up with my kids every three months. It’s a great way to start the year. Love the challenge.🤗😘🌼🇻🇪
Way ahead of you! 2010 I moved from a Huge Mansion deep in Montana to a 1br "Treehouse" in Great Falls. It is so liberating to cleanse STUFF!
You chose beautiful music for this video. It really enhances the gorgeous scenery.
As I say, lovely clips of happiness 👍👍💖💖 Thank you for sharing. Your videos are always pleasant to see 👍😊❣🤗⚘🥰
We really appreciate and enjoyed the video and the words of the day! 🥰🥰🥰 CJ and Geva USA 🇺🇸 Texas
Best thing is that you have each other.
Thanks for the video. Sarah, your brother's Dutch was perfect.
I’ll do the challenge with you. I live in a small 475 sq ft apartment and even here I can accumulate too many things. It’s feels so good not to have things falling in on me. So the less I have here the better I’ll feel.
You make me smile a lot while watching, you are bellissima/o people!
Right before Covid hit in NY/NJ, my dad got sick and I had to go to New Jersey to take care of my mom. I was gone for 6 months and lived out of a weekend bag. I have a closet full of cloths at home and have learned, I don't need most of them.
The snow is so beautiful in the trees, still looking in with coffee ... :-)
😉👍🏻
Be well
@@SarahGraymatter Thank you.
The snowstorm was also huge in Spain, the largest snowfalls sinfe 1904!!! The storm's name is FILOMENA. Ciao belli, Saluti da Sevilla-Spagna!
My husband is Austrian, I am Canadian and I learned to make his mother's cookies - vanilla kipferln and the jam filled cookies. The recipes are very similar to yours so it was interesting to see you making them! Yummy!
The Beautiful Couple Angel’s were sweet! 💕💕💕
Not now!
Bello Sara and Luca 😊❄❤ delicious 😋 thanks for sharing! Much love ❤
