A person with ADHD is very bright. their skill and talent when be properly channlled to the right direction can take them to greatness. Example Albert Eisntine (scientist), Richard Bronson (business magnate), Michael Phelps (decorated Olympian) Bill Gates, Walt Desney, and many more. They can do all kinds of job well and in detail but with ADHD, which usually peggy back with depression, bottled neck in their mind. The ADHD person understand and mastered in their mind whatever jobs/duties well but they have hard time applying it in real work without help, or help from a person close to them who recognize their talent and obstacle and be able to help. Unfortunetely, most of them struggle in academics at young age because the kind of educational system we have (sitting and listening to classroom teacher) is too boring for people with ADHD, some skip school and dabbled on drugs and alcohol mostly to cover guilt and shame. I think your spouse used alcohol to self medicate himself inorder get some respite from his frustrations and guilt. It's tough to a wife or husband and family to go through emotional ups and downs. And it put strained on the marriage. I understand you, girl, because I live it. ADHD is not a life sentence, I look at it as a gift . After 20 years, my spouse and I recognized our shortcomings and misunderstanding of the entire situation, so we both decided to help each other. Most of the time I'm his secretary, and helper. Our lives together for 30 years definitely not all bed of roses. we have children together. It's good you include couselling and Psychiatry. It's good to be around people who are helpful and can boost your morale, not put you down. With God's grace everything is possible. You and your partner and family are in God's hands. Hang in there, you'll get through it plus you are already doing a good job. Humour is good medicine.
I’ve been here in the states for 20 years and I walked away from Filipino community since 2017. Since then my life is better and stress free. 😊 the gossiping is exhausting. I only have 1 Filipino good friend here and that’s all I need than drama
When I was working here in the US I had a lot of bad experienced with Filipino co - worker some of them borrowed money without paying it back, some asked me to bring or buy food for them and some didn’t do their work properly just too much drama was going on so after I left work I never get in touch with any of them aside those who are really nice and loyal to me that experienced gave me the idea to better make friends with other race rather than your own race.
I love it it's hard to be with toxic I done that other day she's draining me every day fir her negativity in life she wants to be same what she's doing. Toxic

You are absolutely correct na dahil I rather be alone and have a quite life without any friends kasi mga tsimosa at judge mental sila. Just me and my American husband for 24 years now. No friends, Justus, quite and no stress.

My husband worked for IBM for 23 yrs sis, they kicked him out for no reason (laid off ang sabi), he became depressed for almost a year pero na halata ko na a month after he was “laid off” na he’s a different person, what I did was palagi kong sinasabi sa anak ko “you need to go to Daddy and talk to him everytime and keep an eye on him anytime and if you’re free because he needs us or else we will lost him”.,it took him almost a year talaga and even now I can tell na still affected pa din sya, kase like your husband boss din sya to thousands of people worldwide, it was a big chapter of his life kase na from being on top binagsak sya bigla ng company like a piece of shit kaya he was very affected, I was very grateful sa anak ko na even he was only 8 that time palagi nyang sinasamahan Dad niya kahit mag banyo sasamahan nya or hindi naman sa labas sya ng door at kinakatok nya tatay nya if matagal lumabas, until one day (for almost a year he was depressed) sabi nya sa akin I need to get my life back because I have Henry, I think yong asawa mo sis may PTSD na at nag worst ng ma fired sya. Sa retirement money naman, they’re the same Fidelity din sa asawa ko, I don’t have access with it pero pinapakita nya naman sa akin magkano na and ako yong nilagay nyang beneficiary, baka the same din sayo sis baka nilagay na kayo ni Zoe don sa beneficiaries nya pero di lang pina alam sayo. I’m praying for you and your children, stay strong.💪
I feel for you - I totally get everything you experienced I was in the same shoes. Stay strong. I’ve been in the USA for a while now and is now happy for the past 20 yrs. But I was there in the same position. You will survive this - it is just temporary it’s making you very strong. You will see- keep thinking positive.

iba ang mga pinoy abroad. Hirap makakita ng tunay na kaibigan sa ibang bansa. Crab mentality pa rin. When i was in Italy, ganun din mga pinoy. Tsismis, inggit, paninira. I end up having many Italian friends, Italian families. Marami akong natutunan sa kanila at mahal ko sila dahil minahal din nila ako hanggang ngayong matagal na ako sa Pilipinas. Sori to say, kalahi mo sila pero di ka masaya kasama sila. Hirap nila pakisamahan sa totoo lang. Malungkot lang.

Both of them had good job they work for the same company,they retired early at the age of 55 years old. They had a lots of shares-stocks from the company and retired with millions $$$. They got divorced just few months after retirement,because the husband drinks all day, can’t even socialize, no time to bond with the kids. So they split every thing keep on drinking till he died on his sleep. Very sad and now his wife and kids are doing well ,they had 2 kids boy and girl are doing very well now they are both UCLA students. Good luck to you Angie and your family. It is not the quantity of friends but the quality of friends you have. I'd rather have 1 or 2 true friends that will stick with me through thick and thin. Most of people we encounter are just acquaintances and co-workers, not real friends. I am glad I was able to retire 17 years ago, it is just me, my wife and our son most of the time and I am at my happiest now in my life at 55. Get your US citizenship so you can always come back to US to visit your kids and grandkids in the future. Kahit milyones pa pera sa Pinas kung walang steady income in dollars, madaling maubos. Plan ahead.

I think he had a trauma from his past na nilulunod nya ang sarili nya sa inom. He have to recignize and close that wound so he can be set free. Good thing you left him and get your children free from that dungeon of despair. I'll pray for you. God makes all things work together for the good of those who love God. There are still great things that is ahead of you. So be strong, be happy and trust God at all times. Speaking of trauma you might be right. He lost his big brother at a young age around 12yo he started drinking na..din naghiwalay parents nila after noong aksedinte.
He's soo smart to hide his money from you. At ginawa pang corporate para hindi ka maka benefit..so saan na hubby mo sis? Dalhin mo anak mo sa pinas..para iba ang environment..
