Galaxy Cat animals have to die at some point to be eaten. whether that happens before or after you're served it is just a cultural thing. north Americans are just used to thinking about meat rather than animals themselves. I agree it seems odd and even macabre (to me at least) to watch an octopus die in a bowl of soup, but I've eaten octopus here in Canada that was killed and cooked only a few minutes before I ate it. the only real difference is that we north Americans tend to be wilfully ignorant of how animals get killed, whereas some cultures are more open about it.

not actually alive alive, just the nerves of the octopus are still able to function after death - thus the tentacles move and it is called "alive".

vegans disliked the video for sure. or people who are not exposed or ignorant of fresh food or don't have access to them (people who eat frozen/preserved food all their lives). i hope some people are more open to foreign food not just the mainstream super unhealthy pizza-burger-fries-diet' because there's so much more culture/countries in the world that we haven't tried. i'm glad i was able to experience something like this before moving to Canada (where most meat are frozen and tasteless compared to fresh, unless you pay $$$ or you have a farm). i am not Korean but personally, i think Korean food is one of the tastiest cuisine in the world! Thanks for sharing @seonkyounglongest. My husband would love this!
