Tried both as samples. Initially really loved Cavort but over time Secret Tryst has won me over. I agree it’s very addictive and once I got used to the Vetiver I loved it. Very enveloping. Much closer than Cavort which to my nose is very bold and statement making. Date night style. Secret Tryst is more intimate and ultimately more delicious! Nice review.
Interesting that Erin Nicole who is ultra feminine also preferred Secret Tryst. Cavort can be too loud.
Just loved your honesty while reviewing these two amazing fragrances by a wonderful brand such as FDB! I have purchased Secret Tryst but my nose fell in love with "Minuit et Demi" and "Oud Orange". Thanks for your videos, appreciated!

Secret Tryst just arrived yesterday best buy in a min for me exactly the scent profile i was looking for
I sampled both fragrances at Perfumology in Philadelphia. My wife and I love them both. Great longevity on our skin. Will be adding to our collection. We are fans of FdB. Currently have NY 5th Ave,, Minuit et Demi, and Sahraa in our collection.

Minuit et Demi is my favorite one as well for Oud Orange, Cavort and much more!
I have not tried either one. But I have a feeling I would like "Secret tryst" more. Based on your description of both fragrances. 💜
Loving Secret Tryst, I find it very similar to Dolce & Gabanna Velvet Amber Sun, just more refined.
So happy you liked Secret Tryst best as well! I wore it out and everyone loved it too. I do think Cavort leans more feminine and is great for what it is, but Secret Tryst is signature scent worthy for me.

I got the samples for these this week. Been loving them. Curious to know if you’ve tried oud violet intense from the brand and if so what your thoughts are . That’s personally my favorite one from fragrance du bois
Great review. I haven't jumped into niche fragrance yet and haven't decided where to start so all info is helpful to me. I've been most intrigued by Angels' Share so far so I may start there??

I own New York 5th Avenue and enjoy it, but Secret Tryst is amazing. I LOVE it. I am really starting to enjoy Fragrance Du Bois. I may get Oud Orange Intense BUT at that cost maybe not.

I do not consider myself a person who could say I favor a Niche House (I am a neophyte), but after my decanters of Minut et Demi, (loved the pimiento and the sexy (not sensual) way it developed on my skin, it was absent in less than two hours. Are the house fragrances all this weak? I am a vintage 59 years old woman. If you may, tell me about the fragrances projection and their sillage.
The house is known for poor performance. I own a few of their bottles but I am disappointed with most of them. Scent is amazing though.
I'm team secret tryst, I had to get a full bottle, I saw the notes and bought blind! No regrets!!! 💙💙💙

Haven’t pull the trigger for this house, price isn’t the issue but the closest niche store to me doesn’t carry them for me to test out.

Completely unrelated to this, but does anyone know a fragrance that is similar to the Dolce and Gabbana for women that came in a leopard bottle? It was discontinued years ago, it has lavender and coffee notes. It was an incredible fragrance.
I remember that fragrance it was called By and they had it for Women and Men.I don't know of something similar to it at this moment in time but those two were awesome scents for sure! :)
I know exactly which perfume you're talking about, it's called "By". There is company in Britain that made a dupe. I will let you know once I remember the name

I did smell it yes I liked it but it wasn't anything I haven't smelled before. I smelled it in passing! :)
How about Nocturna and Oud Jasmine by Royal Crown?
“Secret Tryst” smells great-really delicious-but the projection and the longevity are pretty anemic. It’s a shame. I found the same with “Santal Complet.” At this price point, it really feels like a scam-great branding, but they’re saving money on the juice.
