The off-the-field alcohol-related incidents are definitely concerning; but without all of the details, it is hard to make a determination how serious of a problem. Since all charges were dropped in both domestic violence cases, it is possible that both were merely instances of partying a little too hard.

In NC the law dictates an "assessment" followed by 16 or 20 hours of educational classes. Given the kids were in the car one can guess but not assume it will be 20 hours. Given the kids were in the car with her, she is now in another self-created stressful world. That world is called the Dept of Social Services or simply DSS. Kids first is the only goal DSS has. So Hope needs more than hope in this one, no matter her lawyer and her ability to block goals. She will be visiting with and by DSS for probably one year if not more. Not sure how they handle the license, if they take it away, probably. The other temporary options may be a "restricted" driver's license which permits her to stay on specific routes only, no deviations. Or a 6-month "provisional" license which does not contain the restrictions. The 6-month period, if applicable in NC, is designed for her to complete the 16-20 hrs and apply for her regular license anew. She may also have to take a new written test as well as a road test. All depends upon the State.
Apparently you can play a sport and retire to a job as a commentator and give your opinions on topics.
