It was a long, rough workweek. Then I got home, checked my notifications, and took a nice, relaxing trip to Japan with our favorite teacher and his buddy. We visited mountain resorts, checked out food in various prefectures, swung on a huge swing, and watched an incredible sunrise. Life is good again. Thank you, Aki.
I'm so thrilled to hear you mention Tochigi! That's the prefecture where my daughter-in-law is from. I loved my four visits there, but I learned some things about Tochigi, as well as the Hakuba village and surrounding areas, from you while watching this video.
Aki! I've watched all your videos 🤗 this is my first comment. I just want you to know how much I appreciate your efforts on your beautiful videos. Your dedication shows in the superior filming and editing. Also, your extremely pleasant character is so comforting to me because many corners of the internet are full of negativity. You really make my day! Thank you very much for making the world a more perfect place 💕
Wow love it that you feature the YooHoo swing from Heidi as it is the anime that inspired me as well with my minimalism journey. Great vid as always! Arigatou Samurai Matcha Sensei.😊
Many thanks and appreciation from Australia for your efforts in allowing us a window into the lovely Japanese countryside. Now that Japan is opening up, I am seriously considering organising a trip for a group of friends to include as many wonderful experiences of Japan as possible. For me, being from the Australian countryside, I much prefer the beautiful Japan rural areas compared to Japanese cities. Therefore your videos give me many ideas of options that my friends and I can enjoy together, especially in the Nagano area. Thank you and please keep up the good work.
You know what I like the most from your videos? How much joy you have every time you try something, and even things you normally drink or eat. That expression of yours when you drink matcha, or any other tea or food and candies. When you close your eyes and breath and just focus on the flavor. But also, when you are in a new town, when you just look at the landscape and breath the air with so much joy. This morning, I was so cold, I made tea. When I tried it, I just did exactly what you do. hahaha and I thought about you. It's funny we don't really realized of those small joyful things. Thank you for your videos and for your personality. It's a joy watching you!! and of course, thank you for showing us the beauty of Japan. I was planning to go this year but it was closed. Now that it's finally open, I'm planning to go next year around October :)
Hello, from Connecticut, USA. I so enjoy your videos! My 9-year old son would love to visit Japan someday, so I like sharing your videos with him. Thank you!
Thank You for your videos - from Singapore. Your videos demonstrate positive mindset and energy which I think this world nowadays lacked- keep up the good work and hope they can spread to more people!
Hi Aki! ☺I love watching your videos and I like it when your videos have different themes, not only minimalism even though it's one major driving force that guided me here. Please also make more videos of ancient Japanese culture (like you did about the Edo period) and villages and also natural parks of Japan as I truly think all this (alongside of minimalism) is very special with its ancient wisdom. I think we have lost our track in this modern, over-hyped and over-consumed society that at least my soul yearns for returning back to our ancient roots. I just finished listening to Tanizaki's In Praise of Shadows and I could so well agree with him on many things. Love from Finland.
Waoo last night I went up to iwatake to watch the fireworks summer festival what’s a such coincidence 😁 I am living in Hakuba village for ten years! My lovely Hakuba
Loved your video! Hakuba is also one of my favorite places in Japan, I’ve been three times in green season, but not on winter yet, hopefully this year I can visit .
Thanks for mentioning Spy Family. I love it! I would have never found out about it if you didn't mention it! Thank you! I just wish they also dubbed all the episodes.
To be honest, I love Japan so much. I always dream of living in Japan. I want to learn and know about Japanese culture. I’m a doctor, currently working as a GP in India. Nice to see u brother. Stay happy and healthy. 🇯🇵 ❤️
Hi, Aki, amazing views and interesting areas and food! I like, how you prepare Matcha under all circumstances…🍃🍵. Being sick with a really heavy flu just now, I love to travel with you and others around the world 🌎… Love, Monika❣
I can remember the Heidi series. It was very popular in 🇨🇭when I was younger (much younger 😂). I really enjoyed this video. It gave me good ideas for places to travel too when I get to visit your beautiful country. Thank you for all the effort 🫶🏼
Halo Mr. Samurai Matcha, First of all, I would like to tell you that all your videos are so amazing, I watched it one by one 😊. I’m from Indonesia, can I have a request to you for making the video of how the work ethics of Japanese, I had experience worked with Japanese. They are so discipline, hardworker and detail. And the most impression thing is “very on time person”. Thank you sir, I hope you will make my request to be come true 🙏🙏
I love your traveling videos! I want more! PS: I loved Heidi when I was a child. Sad, happy, really sad...of course it had something to do with Japanese artists 🤣! PS: A few months ago I said you inspired me to learn Japanese. My husband and I are starting in January (since we couldn't do it this year due to kids and work). Wish us luck in learning such a beautiful language!
Hi Aki! Thank you for this amazing video. I'm wondering, as a Vegan, how would I navigate the food scene in Japan? This would be critical especially as I have always wanted to visit Japan for it's amazing landscapes, architectures, and beautiful culture.
Had to pause the video when you showed the signs of the beer!! Grew up with "Kölsch" and couldn't believe you had it there 🤣 living near Berlin now so know "Berliner Weisse" as well but I'm not a huge fan of that. Did you try it?? :D
Hello! Thanks for sharing this beautiful place with us. I'm planning to visit Hakuba village next Jun during summer. How do you go from place to place - is public transport easy, or should we be driving? Thank you!
Hello Aki, thank you as always for the interesting video ! I wonder at what time of the year you would recommend to travel to Japan, I hear spring is really expensive, so I was thinking autumn/winter but how cold is it >< ?? Have a wonderful weekend Agathe
