- In my previous video I called Elden Ring stupid and after giving it more time I realized I couldn't have been more wrong. I hope this video explains why I was wrong and encourages others who might have given up on the game or thinking about quitting that motivation to pick it back up or keep going. Trust me I was you, I felt the same way, it's worth it...it is absolutely worth it!!
IF you enjoyed the video, liked the video, found it helpful or useful please considering giving it a thumbs up and subscribing to the channel. I want to make content I enjoy for YOU and that is the only way I'll be able to tell. Gaming is what I love and helping other people is what gives my life meaning. Thank you so so much and I will see you next time!
I had a similar experience, bought it when it came out. Played for 5 hours got pissed and uninstalled. Came back two years later and beat the game and now on the DLC.
@@devnull528 That tells people how good the game is, how many other game have you put down and never picked up…let alone complete the game AND move on to the DLC, what a masterpiece of a game 🙏🏻
That was my experience with Bloodborne. I wanted to like it so bad because of the vibe but gave up after 3 hours like, "bro, why would they make it impossible?!" I came back to it after some prodding by a friend. Then you realize how the game is meant to be played, and it's just magical. I've now played every Fromsoft game and dlc except DS2.
@@Based_investor once it clicks it’s a whole different game. I never played but I saw Kai play bloodborne I know he didn’t “experience everything” but it did look good man, the vibe was crazy
All good man, just growing pains.
Welcome to the party, brother.
✌️
@@FurtiveSkeptical glad to be here and appreciate the welcome 🤝🏻🤙🏻
There are so many out there that will just say that the game sucks because its too hard and unfair and all of that stuff and then will upload video essays about how much the game is dissapointing and bad by never learning from their mistakes by playing the game and being in touch with their ego every day. You sir, are amazing because you learnt about the experience this game provides, you gained patience and you admitted to your mistakes by throwing away your ego that so many other people hate to betray. You are a great person and welcome to the souls franchise and community. Both of them are far from perfect but you can have a good time and also acquire a lot of things from them at the same time. (sorry about my english😅)
@@georgedemiris299 you have nothing to apologize for, your English was more than fine in fact I’d argue damn near better than mine lol but thank you, every time I died I just kept asking myself what did I do wrong? What could I have done differently?
@@dominat3gaming34 This game helped me with my depression because it was so hard that in the end when i finished both the base game and the dlc I was like, damn I can actually do things that seem impossible like when I killed the final boss of the dlc pre-nerfed I felt like I can do anything in this world and I must keep on fighting. And that confidence boost started even from Godrick a long time a go. The moral of the game is never give up as many roadblocks you can find in your way even if they seem impossible (in a way). This game is just magic man...!!!
@@georgedemiris299 I really appreciate you sharing that with me bro, you can do anything don’t ever forget that!! 🙏🏻
@@dominat3gaming34 Thanks bro. You can try the other games as well they are pretty good.
I bought the game at the beginning of 2023 and quit frustrated. I gave it a second chance months after, and it was until my first "Enemy Felled" message showed that I was completely hooked. I'm glad you changed your mind. Because ER is an experience, every gamer should have. It is beautiful, mysterious, challenging and lots of fun.
@@commanderpower99 that’s awesome, it’s definitely something I think everyone should experience
Nicely said! Glad you got the click moment so many of us had. There is but one thing left to say: one of us, one of us!
It’s so good, once it clicked I couldn’t put it down!
Welcome home man.
@@GabrielBercea it’s such a beautiful home too 😮💨
Literally everyones reaction to their first Fromsoft game.
Best game ever, it changed my aproach to games, and now after two years of playing this is the only game I can play, no more FPS Shooters, or Division, or whatever... hell, I dont even play sports games anymore. I strongly recommend to those who are strugling with the game to try Seamless Coop mode, play with friends and enjoy.
@@freemanninja7867 I agree I keep telling my friends “I feel like I’m gonna play this game forever” that being said…man I wish they would come out with a Division 3 already 😂😂😂
Hey, I have never played any dark souls games before this too.. and let me tell you, this game kicks your teeth in because it respects your ability to rise to the challenge, in your own way,
It isn't all perfect, dont get me wrong, and man I got mad and nearly rage quit with some bosses..
But.. the freedom to just, LEAVE and come back later, really helped me gain the experience and knowledge to do what needed to be done, and rise above.
I regret not picking up this game sooner.
Absolutely not perfect but it sure is as close as it gets. I’m glad you didn’t give up and pushed through it, it’s really worth it!
Cudos for admitting your error ! Welcome to the souls community!
@@tjniezek3096 I have seen the light 🙌🏻
Good for you man get straight onto dark souls 3
I’ve been debating playing previous From Software games, but I’m worried they will feel dated
Dark souls 3 might never feel dated, it’s certainly a mechanical downgrade from Elden ring but it is so smooth and has a lot of beautiful moments visually
@@thatonezone I’ll have to check it out, honestly I was really thinking of giving Demon Souls on PS5 a go, ever tried it?
@@dominat3gaming34 The Demon Souls remake is beautiful, but gameplay and story-wise, Dark Souls 3, and far more so Bloodborne, holds up better.
@@modernminded5466 Ok yea cause Demons souls on PS5 just looks beautiful…but I am a sucker for a good story man
Open ring was also my first. But for some reason I didn't run into this negative situation that so many people end up rinning into. I ooved it from day 1
Most people experience the brick wall in their more linear games. Elden Ring really made it accessible by making it open world.
Man ate crow
And it was the best tasting crow I ever had
Very based of you to actually sit down and git gud. I tip my cap to you, sir 😎
@@astoopidyoutuber9156 and back at you sir 🙏🏻
I think its a terrible entry point into the genre which is why it drives me nuts that veterans constantly recommend it as your first. 😂 Like Jesus Christ even the vets struggled with a lot of these bosses.
@@austin0_bandit05 I never played any other From Software titles but from what I gathered it’s probably the “easiest” entry into the series just because of summoning, no run backs etc
@@dominat3gaming34 Holy shit you have a lot to look forward to then! Their entire catalogue of games is top tier.
Elden Ring (that or DS3) is probably the hardest of the games with the easiest options if that makes sense. My issue is that it doesnt ease you into the gameplay so much as it allows you to circumvent the difficulty or brute force it. And that's only assuming you use the more broken weapons and summons and over level.
