    I know this is old , but myself and many others have heel slip in NIKES . BUT!! The material on the inside WILL swell once you start sweating in them …. To speed up the process , you can kinda wet you fingers massage the water into the inside area at the back of heel and sides … kinda memic a heavy sweat … let it dry and do it again ….. you may even feel the foam on the inside swell as you do this …
    They do get better as you wear them ..

    Hey, really enjoyed the review. Do you have any experience with Legacy Lifter 1s/Romaleos 2/Anta shoes? I have heard that these models should be better for squatting than these newer models, but am struggling to find a place that still has them in stock. What's your take on them?

    • @mojeedsulayman1518
      @mojeedsulayman1518  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey man never tried those 3 shoes before, because like you said its pretty hard to find them in stock 😅. I have heard people rate the romaleos 2 a lot, actually spent some time trying to get a pair but with no luck. If you can find one your size, might be worth a try

      Reebok Lifter 1’s are waaay better than the 2’s. The material feels more stable and the two straps in comparison to the single strap in the 2’s makes such a difference.

    So you said heeled shoes can be beneficial depending on your leverages and your height? Obviously its specific to each individual, but would you not recommend flats if able to?

    • @mojeedsulayman1518
      @mojeedsulayman1518  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      If you feel comfortable in flats and have the required ankle mobility I'd definitely say flats all the way. In general, I'd really only recommend using heels if you are a taller lifter and are struggling with hitting depth or feel like your squat is too back dominant.

    • @mojeedsulayman1518
      @mojeedsulayman1518  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@filiptasev1059 Hey man if you have good ankle mobility, I'd recommend you try squatting with a pair of chuck Taylors or any shoe with a completely flat surface for starters. If you find you aren't able to hit depth or want to invest in a heeled shoe for squats, considering how discounted the legacy lifter 2's have become now, id definitely recommend picking up a pair for the price. They are amazing and I've enjoyed training in them so far.

    • @mojeedsulayman1518
      @mojeedsulayman1518  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @UCcyR_hjmsFjqPUgi5rdIiGg Hey man, 6'6 is a long way up. If you've tried squatting in socks and feel comfortable I'd definitely say stick with that in the meantime. As you get stronger and start squatting more weight, look at getting a pair of Chuck Taylors, Nike Air Jordans, or any flat sole shoe in general. A wide squat stance with a low bar position will probably not feel very stable with heels but considering this is your first time using squat shoes, it might just take a while for you to get comfortable with the new positioning. A side video comparison of you squatting in socks and heels can also help you decide which one puts your body in a better position to squat.

    Are reeboks legagy lifter 2 better for deep high bar squat and strict overhead press? Or even bench press? (powerlifting)

    • @mojeedsulayman1518
      @mojeedsulayman1518  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hey man, for high bar squats it really depends on how good your ankle mobility is, if you don't have great ankle mobility the larger heel on the reebok will help if it's okay any of the shoes will be good for you.
      For overhead press, I've never really tried them or worn heels during them so can't give you my opinion.
      For bench, both shoes feel the exact same, so either will do you well.
      Hope this helps
