I think the best music is the music that helps you understand and empathize with yourself. And I think the best music videos are the ones that help with that. As such, my favorite music videos are ones that help me understand myself. This ranking is gonna be very personal, so if that's not your jam, you do not have to read it.
5. G.U.Y. - For perspective, I am a very feminine non-binary person who looks like a man (e.g. I look like a guy, I act very feminine, and I identify as neither to confuse everyone including myself). To me, this song is similar to Sheiße, she's saying that you don't have to be dominant or masculine to deserve respect. It reminds me that I can be strong and feminine at the same time. Additionally, the mixing of pop culture with classical art references is genius and visually stunning. It's one of the coolest videos she's made, everyone can pick out at least a couple pop references in it.
4. Judas - I was raised Catholic, I was confirmed; I did Sunday School for 10+ years, I sang in church. I also found out I was gay during a mass. I ended up in a lowkey one-sided feud with the children's choir director (this Italian Catholic woman who was our cantor) and because my family sung in church all the time, she asked my mom if my sisters and I would be in the passion play during mass for Good Friday (e.g. we acted out the last supper and Jesus being betrayed and crucified). And this woman cast me as Judas. So as a closeted gay man, I kissed another man (on the cheek) during church. So I have a special connection to this character. Additionally, the concept of having to choose between religion and love is obviously also very close to me. The video embodies this concept really well with the whole allegory, and envisioning the apostles as a motorcycle gang is genius. Her hair, makeup, and costuming is also iconic in this one. A great number 1 pick.
3. Rain on Me - (TW for assault, I apologize this is so personal, I just need to get my feelings out) My first experience with a man was in college. I had been gay (or at least, I looked like a man and was attracted to men) for 6 years but had never so much as kissed a boy. Then I started dating the first few months of my junior year of college, and my first ever experience with a man, we cuddled and watched Mamma Mia. Then, when he thought I was asleep he sexually assaulted me. This was handled very well by my friends (particularly my friend who had introduced us) but was handled terribly by the university. I only managed to stay in school and healthy because of the support of that friend and a few other close friends. It is also that friend who originally sent me the Rain on Me music video the day that it came out. I know Gaga has experienced sexual assault herself, and I am really grateful not only that she sings about it but that she also doesn't tend to gender her songs, so I don't have to be excluded from her music. This song and the music video are about finding strength and persistence in friendship to deal with trauma, and this song is now my go to anthem with this friend that helped me through that experience. She always sings Ariana and lets me be Gaga, bless her.
2. Bad Romance - Firstly, and unrelated to the rest of this entry, I love Alexander McQueen. We share a name, we're both gay, and I love the drama and spectacle and themes that he uses in his work. So this song premiering at his last full show, and the music video featuring one of his most iconic looks is everything to me. As for the song, I understand it best as similar to Frankenstein, which is my favorite book. If someone has read this far, wants to keep reading, AND hasn't read Frankenstein: the important part is that the monster is not initially violent or bad-natured, but is treated badly by the people he comes into contact with. He becomes miserable realizing that he can't be a part of the world in which he lives, and returns to Victor to ask him to make him a partner monster so that he doesn't have to be alone; and a big part of the book is whether or not Victor has an obligation to this monster that he created. Does he, as its creator, owe him love and care, even if he's repulsed by it. So, as previously discussed, I have been Catholic for a long while and have a hard time putting to peace both the existence of an all powerful, all loving God, and someone who would put me on earth as the person I am. I'll get into it more in #1 on this list, but I have been gay for 8 years now and have never felt like I belonged or was safe anywhere. And I relate heavily to the monster, because I feel that (at least in my current circumstances) I'm in a life doomed to be unhappy and I feel that the God I was taught to believe in owes me the kind of love described in Bad Romance. I feel monstrous, like Gaga refers to in the song, who I am is not ok with a lot of people in my environment, and I don't want to have to choose between being myself and being loved. It's my favorite love song. The whole video, Gaga as monstrous, as unapologetic, as groundbreaking, as being the most viewed video on youtube for a period of time - it's the message I need to hear from the world.
1. Marry the Night - I guess this is sort of a deep cut, but I was very happy to see it high on Katie's list! The story here is that Born This Way was the first Gaga album I listened to the whole way through. I was starting to get into her when I left home for college, since I was finally able to be out and gay, but never listened to a whole album through until my second semester. Basically, when I got to college I figured out that not only was I gay, I was a weird sort of gay. For perspective, I have felt most like myself once a year for the last 3 years performing as Frankenfurter in a live production of Rocky Horror, where I get to lipsync and I take my bows in lingerie, a pride flag, and with a giant dildo in my mouth. This isn't to say that I'm not like other girlsTM - every person is beautiful, and queer people are strong and deserve love regardless of how well they pass in straight society. I just, did not fit in with other college students straight or gay. And I listened to Born This Way for the first time all the way through on the bus ride back to school after winter break. And I remember I left the bus station crying because I knew I was going back to weeks and weeks of me sitting alone in my dorm room every night with no friends - and furthermore, I knew that I was lonely not because of my situation at home, since I wasn't there any more, but because of who I was, since I was now alone at the second school in a row. I just felt like I would never find a family, I would be stuck with my strange self forever. And then I listened to Born This Way and Marry the Night is the first song. And I think that that was a very deliberate choice. Because Born This Way (the song) is a celebration - most of the album is a celebration - of who you are. Who you are is beautiful. That is an amazing message. But before you can be proud, you need to pick yourself up off of the ground and decide to be yourself. I won't speak for every queer person, but my personal experience has been that I often have to choose between being myself and feeling safe, or being myself and feeling loved - at home, at work, at school, etc. And Marry the Night and the music video, to me, are about saying "fuck it" and deciding that no matter how tough it is, you're going to be yourself. You're going to pick yourself up off your hospital bed, take your bedazzler, and be yourself. You're going to pick yourself up, no matter what your parents yell at you, no matter what violence men do to you, no matter how people look at you. You're going to keep going. I'm going to keep going, because I am never going to be happy being someone else. Marry the Night gave me the courage the next semester to walk across campus in 5-inch thigh high leather boots to join a club of mostly straight people and to audition for Rocky Horror for the first time. And I felt like myself for the first time ever. I started doing drag and making costumes. I made a few friends who love and support me regardless of who I am. I owe most of who I am to this album and particularly to this song. Now, weirdly, it isn't my favorite Gaga song. But in combination with that beautiful music video, this song reminds me of who the fuck I am and what I am capable of.

1. Bad Romance for obvious reasons, no other artist has created a music video so iconic and comparable to Michael Jackson’s Thriller
2. G.U.Y. one of Gaga’s most underrated song and music videos, it’s being appreciated so much more now than when it was released
3. Marry the Night, one of Gaga’s most personal music videos since it’s essentially a story of her life starting out as Gaga and it’s once of her best self directed music videos
4. Judas, it caused quite a controversy when it was released but I love all the visuals, outfits, the choreography is iconic
5. 911, Gaga’s most creative video since ARTPOP and it’s the best music video from Chromatica

- The visuals are quite appealing and the storyline is so good especially it is autobiographical. This music video stands out from all the Joanne era music videos.
9. You and I
- I love the visuals and the song. It is creative from the visuals to the setting and most of all, Gaga and her alter ego Jo Calderone look good.
8. TEOG- This has a simple yet very good visuals. The production in the song and mv is so good. It is simple but a very iconic music video.
7. Bad Romance
- This song is very iconic. The visuals are legendary. It truly deserved all the vmas and awards it won. It has great visuals and production.
6. Just Dance
- It is Gaga's song that led her to where she is now. The visuals are simple but it is iconic. The song is catchy and so iconic.
5. Poker Face
- It is about poker facing one's sexuality and it's iconic. The visuals are so good and iconic. The song is so good and catchy.

- This is one of the best music videos in Gaga's whole discography. The song is so good. The production is so good here in my opinion.

- It is a very good song with very good visuals. It is empowering and catchy. The production for the music video is one of the best in her discography.

1. MTN- This song has helped me through a lot. The visuals are the best and it shows Gaga recovering from the trauma she dealt with until she became famous. It is a very iconic song and mv.

9) 911: still taking time to grow on me but i love it. has such a unique energy to it.
8) g.u.y: artpop was quite the era but g.u.y. seriously grew on me. its gorgeous, although i still wish gypsy was the last single :/
7) judas: another one i truly love. the aesthetic is immaculate, the story is so interesting and i was hooked throughout the entire video.
6) paparazzi: i love the story and overall aura coming from it.
5) poker face: nostalgia. just pure nostalgia.
4) telephone: i love how overdramatic it is. i wish beyonce explored a more campy side but i still highly respect her ofc.
3) bad romance: yk.... its bad romance. its got a creepy story that matches way too well to the song.
2) the edge of glory: ik, simple video but it means a lot to me. i love the overall aesthetic and after losing my granddad i can resonate with the songs personal meaning to gaga.
1) marry the night: one of my fave songs from her overall. i discovered the video in january of this year (i was a very tiny little monster) and since then its helped me through some awful experiences. born this way overall has helped me through a lot.

I remember being literally obsessed with every Gaga video throughout her career (I've never been following her career like albums but i've seen every video each time one came out). She is one of the few artists that really gives me nostalgia (and she's still doing music so you can say that now i'm a fan). I remember being totally impressed by Perfect Illusion because it is strong and vocally perfect (and it was a song that i used to sing on a school trip). Here's my top:
5 911 (i know Rain On Me is such a piece of art and i love that video, but, 911 is one of the most Gaga videos and it works as a "COMEBACK" to that Gaga even though i've missed out the Cheek to Cheek-Joanne-A Star is Born era)
4 Marry the Night (i know plenty of you may have identified with these videos more than me but i can see why and that's awesome because art must be felt and it gets better when you are related to it. I remember this video just because of the choreography that i have always loved to practice and i still do. It was like my confirmation that i love to dance. Fun fact: i've never seen the whole video because i only wanted to play the music)
3 Judas (OOF the imagery is so perfect. You don't have an idea of how much i loved the concept of the song, the outfits, the choreography and the imagery as a child. I was like 8 years old at the time it came out and i was really impressed and somehow caught with the story line and everything. I'm really proud of loving Gaga the way i do)
2 Alejandro (the best video in terms of imagery and choreography for me. It's visually pleasing and its dark-gothic style fits perfectly to the song. Also it's one of my favourites song from her so)
1 Telephone (best video just because of the storyline of Paparazzi. Everything it's perfect about it and i really loved this video as a child. I was particularly caught with this one).

1 Marry The Night (one of her longest mv's. No doubt one of the best storylines. The ending sparks so many feels within me. It's emotional, but SO empowering. Imo, moreso than BTW.) Also criminally underrated as a single!
2 Bad Romance (Just iconic for LG. Probably one of the mv's I've seen the most. Let's not pretend this video wasn't everywhere when it was released and it really made LG a force to be reckoned with.)
3 911 (I didn't love this video at first.. However after watching it a few times, its probably one of her most subliminal, intricate mv's. The outfits are really beautiful and artsy, Gaga's acting at the end is very convincing and we got the Chromatica II transition included!)
4 Telephone (THE PUSSY WAGON and the diner scene!) The first really campy Gaga mv.
5 Applause (Her darkest mv imo. Portraying the darkness of fame and being a star. I really dig the black and white aesthetic. The costuming/looks are stunning and represent the Artpop era so well. Its only at #5 cause I don't care for it as much as a song next to these other tracks.) I prefer The Empire of the Sun and Electrotech remixes.
Honorable Mention:
Paparazzi (Again, depicts the dark side of fame so well. It was her first 'short film' mv.) Let's not forget her VMA performance of '09. One of the greatest, live, pop performances of all time)

Thank you for mentioning the difference between Gaga and Joanne, the latter of which we saw during the entire Joanne era. It irks me when people say "She was still Gaga during the Joanne era!!"
She wasn't and Gaga herself even proved it: she made John Wayne a very Gaga-like video to make Joanne shoot the old Lady Gaga. But fortuenetly, the old nostalgic Gaga came back to life after A Star Is Born with Chromatica!! I'm so happy with that because I really didn't like the whole Joanne-persona with all the hats and all the soft pink and the ballads and the very toned down atmosphere. That's my opinion.

2: LoveGame - As me being from new york, I adore the setting. I love the. choreography and the song is soo iconic.
