Hey TY I'm Jamaican and i❤curried chicken and I use all your ingredients! I cut up my scotch bonnet pepper because my curried chicken ihas got to be spicy!❤
Although I come from a Guyanese decent, I go back and forth between curry chicken & chicken curry. Just depends which restaurant you're in at the time.
Love watching you cook. You’re a bit spicy yourself 🤣. This looks more like jerk chicken to me. I’m used to curry chicken having more of an orange base to it. Would love to try this recipe. You make it look simple…
Does look burnt to me but the curry i eat is greenish and light brown not dark brown / black this looks more like curry gumbo im sure it still taste good though
That is not how we cook curry after you burn the curry with garlic you pour the chicken in a hot pot cover it up and let the chicken saute it release all the liquid to cook it all the way thru and you have to cut the pepper scrape out the seeds cut it up small that's how u get the flavor
Small point of correction, curry is not Jamaican. Its actually a Sounth Asian seasoning that was brought to the Caribbean by Indentured labourers and to the US by migrants from Sounth Asian.
Let me correct your correction curry is British it was created by them based on Indian herbs and spices. They don’t sell curry powder seasoning as we know it in India, unless it’s an international grocer. So that alone proves it’s not Indian. If you don’t believe do a quick google search. Caribbean Indians claim it but it’s a British creation. Plus he never said it’s Jamaican he said his Jamaican STYLE curry. So he is making it based on the way Jamaicans make it.
@Elle9228000 interesting g I will confirm with my friends from Delhi. I have never heard the Bristish origin. However, having been a colonizer of India at one point in time can follow.

We have a jamaican place near us and I love the curry goat. The Yellow curry is so good.
Curry is my favorite dish
As a Jamaican, traditionally that’s not how I’ve known to make curry chicken. I’m just glad you didn’t call it Chicken Curry 😂
Although I come from a Guyanese decent, I go back and forth between curry chicken & chicken curry. Just depends which restaurant you're in at the time.
It’s ok to do different
