Chile, I live in the middle of nowhere where there's no Haitians. All my coworkers are white. I bought griot to a potluck baby shower and that thing was ate up!!! They never tasted something like that b4. They were all asking what it is 😂 whole pan was gone in 45 mins.

Hi Tobias, I would love to see you make Dominican Spaghetti. I am not Dominican.. but the 1st time I tasted it... I immediately responded to my coworker, who made it.. "This is one of the best things I've ever tasted." I thoroughly enjoy watching you cook Tobias! You're also an excellent singer & so, so hilarious 😂. I'll be looking for that Dominican Spaghetti!!!🍝

So, just a suggestion on the plantains: soak them in the water with salf (ive never tried lime) after you peel them before the 1st fry. Then 1st fry (looks like your oil wasn't quite hot enough). Then take them out and smash them, give then a quick dip in that same salt water solution and do the second fry. That way your plantains have flavor all on the inside, not just the outside. It looks damn good! Looks like I could've bought this at a haitian restaurant.

Yes I totally agree. I'd also say seafood packet seasoning is not necessary but I realized people grow and learn to like different types of flavor profile and that's ok.
I've been watching all your Haitian recipes and I AM VERY HONORED AND PROUD. Thank you it looks absolutely devine😋

Good evening, Tobias!👋🏽 My God Today, that looks amazing!!! 😍😋😋😋 Listennnnn, I was ready to eat when the pork was done boiling. I'm not Haitian, but I would've cooked that meat down with some onions, bell peppers, carrots, and garlic. Then I'd serve it over rice & peas, the fried plantain, and a little simple salad. 😋😋😋

If you really want a flavor explosion for your taste buds, you should try making javanese foods or foods from suriname. That should be your next series after your Haitian food exploration. You will not be disappointed, I promise. I really think people don't know or have never heard of these smaller countries as they never really get any recognition because they are overshadowed by the more popular countries they are surrounded by.
