The mentality of some of these people. They are actually proud to be there and think its all cool and gangster. I was going that way when i was a teenager. Thankfully, I grew up when I was around 20 years old and realised what a moron i was becoming.
I work in the prison service, and sometimes I can't help but wonder how these individuals would behave if they found themselves in a prison like the ones in Peru. I’m sure their attitudes would be very different.
I got some kind of mild ptsd watching this its like it gave me a taste of the old atmosphere i was in near constantly between 1999 to 2018 it really is something youd have to experience personally to know the drudgery and misery of all that time wasted ,its something thats altered me as a person even years after ,im still on hevy medication and very anxious and withdrawn from society.
The violence and bad behaviour stems from the immature blaming society and everyone but themselves for the situation they've effectively put themselves in.
I went to jail 3 times when I was younger but the last time was 2003 when I was 20 and I haven't been back since. That place is for mugs who keep repeating the same mistakes because they haven't got the bottle to try and make themselves better people. I ain't nothing special i don't even have a job but I'm not going back to jail again because I like my freedom and anyone in prisonis clearly shit at what they do or they wouldn't be in there looking that stupid.
When you get that bored then people start creating their own 'fun'. At least they are not in South american prisons where things go extremely serious very quickly between gang rivals. Half the problem is here, is the prisoner officers are scared of the prisoners, it clearly shows in this video. The fact that the 3 prisoners were abke to casually walk past a gaurd and proceed to barricade themselves in to the cell. The prison wardens seemed scared. The psychiatrist was scared. The prisoners feed off that and it emboldens them.
these muppets in aylesbury nowadays are a joke, all big gangsta men lol they wouldnt have aurvived aylesbury in the 90's 3 of us in a cell shitting in a bucket, people used to get sugered for a roll up.
This type of drug all started when the government made it harder to access after and cheaper drugs like benzos, in their place came untraceable substances 1000x stronger
Unfortunately prison staff have to prove themselves as well. A prison is a place that is self contained and exists in isolation, and this means it is a culture too.
Yps for you.. I was put in hull prison as a yp in 1986,... The screws always have a big lad they sort out and they bully other new inmates... This happened to me.. But it didn't go well for him... I didn't get done for what i did but i got put down block for forgetting my prison number, the screws then put me in a cell were the table a chair had had water puy in them so when i sat down my ass went through and my elbow through the table.. Lol. (there thick cardboard down the Block).. I then got done for damaging prison property... I was 16 and i spent 12 weeks in that cell with no bedding to 7am to 7pm the only clothes i had was a massive pair of y fronts no books nothing.. Broken windows in a freezer of a cell.... The difference then and now is the screws used to run the prisoners now the prisoners run the jail.... Sad but tru..

The current U.K. prison regime is simply not tough enough nor harsh enough to act as a proper deterrent to crime and criminal activity, which is why we have a “revolving door” prison system, which itself must be hugely demoralising to prison officers, judges and police officers alike - prison is supposed to be about punishment and to act as a deterrent, but it is losing its deterrent value, because of lack of a sufficiently harsh punishment-based regime - we should be aiming to emulate the toughest and harshest prison regimes in the world, like Russia and in California - this has become far worse since capital punishment was abolished in the 1960’s, which if reinstated in our times would have to cover offences well beyond murder, such as sexual offences against minors and terrorism offences - by the same token, the treason, sedition and blasphemy laws should never have been abolished and need to be restored, for which capital punishment is the only remedy - our society is falling apart and is by design and the prison system is the “canary in the coal mine” to show us just how far we have fallen, as most of these prisoners should be on death row as many of them are repeat offenders - 3 convictions for any offence should mean automatic capital punishment and placed on death row
The beginning was just bullying. No honour in that. And I wasted close to a decade in my youth to the system. I wish MOST of these KIDs the best moving on. Hopefully they will find their way. And realise its a mugs game, jail.
The hostage has just sealed his own fate giving a statement like that! Maybe by doing that and knowing what'll happen to him on the wing might scare him into living a crime free life or he'll be on protection with the sex offenders for every visit to prison in the future.

Prison is to easy, they should be locked in a cell 24 hours a day with no one else in that cell with nothing to occupy them, 1 hours exercise a day and no visitors, nobody would want to go back!
