I like how this mod looks, i think it makes the game feel more futuristic which makes sense since it takes place in like the 24th century

I'm so glad someone else finally made a video on this mod. All the big content creators only really cover really big stuff like the return of the ancients mod. Personally I think mods like this are just as good.

If a gargantuan return comes out, can you do a full playthrough of this and gargantuan return, because it totally changes the game, and i do think the mods can work together, since thus automation mod is more of building and gargantuan return is more for story

The devs of the 2 mods actually said they were working together to ensure that the return of the ancients and alterra suite work properly together so there should be no issues in that

This is extremely impressive, and honestly solves a lot of the resource grind issues I have with Subnautica. Being able to trade rare resources for money to buy the titanium, lead, or whatever I don't feel like hunting for would cut out a lot of drudgery and keep rare resources exciting beyond the few you need for a few technologies.
Yep absolutely :) Could really make the game more peasant towards the end where you need a ton of resources.
this would be especially good in below zero too, not only since BZ has pretty lacklustre gameplay, but also the huge diamond and ruby deposits
I do not have a resource issue. Just get your cyclops ferry the prawn and the sea moth to the lost river and you have all you need
@@brettpeckinpaugh Yeah, how is it even possible to run into resource shortages in this game. The map has enough resources to win the game 500 times over.
I have no words for the sheer amount of effort and dedication they put into creating this. It is absolutely, without a doubt DLC sized lol!
Edit: It also makes the game feel like Satisfactory.

This mod reminds me a lot of modded Minecraft, I feel like the devs were a little bit inspired by it, especially the digital storage since it's AE2 for Subnautica
Also I like the fact that this mod allows you to have a happy ending with no debt. I wonder if it also changes the ending scene
Definitely possible :) I mean - Minecraft has one of the most incredible modding scenes out there!

I watched about 20 seconds and then went and got the full download. I had a load of these things from before, fridge and harvesters and some of the power bits etc but I like the look of all the other bits. To be honest I have been waiting for these guys/gals to do some/all of these things for Sub 2. Some of the best mods I have ever seen when you take into account all the aspects.

It's been a while since I last watched this channel, and I am glad to come back as you review my favorite mod! I didn't like subnautica as much ever since my very good save file got corrupted but you just got me interested again!

I can't wait to play this mod, I haven't actually wathced the video since I don't want to spoil myself. Kinda sad I won't play it soon, since I am waiting on return of ancients to release, but once it does, then its going to be like playing subnautica again

@@TheLastBacon I know its not RotA, I know its the thing made by FCS studio (I hope I spelled that right, I never can remember their name XD). I want to wait for RotA to play it together with this mod for the first time.
this stuff would be SO cool for multiplayer. I just imagine the teleporter being used for players to get around to one another's bases. You could even create hubs for biomes and stuff. Really makes me wish there was multiplayer for subnautica :(

This looks awesome i always wanted a mod that adds completely new gameplay mechanics and new building stuff. And the thing with the automated drones made me really intressed. I guess its time to dive back into the waters of Planet 4546b

I'm really happy to be seeing some bigger mods for Subnautica coming out. I remember when pretty much all of the mods were still simple quality of life mods. And while I still really like QoL mods, its very exciting to see mods that add whole new content.

The only thing i would love to see in this mode is to FCS studius intruce them selfs in to the Subnautica lore... Imagine that FCS Studius is an Mongolian tech company and that wrech being part of the Degasi ship! That should be great!

Maybe even a procedurally generated infinite world with the centre being the main crater. Wouldn’t be all that lore friendly tho
@@muffinsthecat9604 good idea but I think that’s gonna make it really hard for biomes. Like I was thinking more like for new biomes or just some more space to work with

I adore this mod, and while it sure has some polishing here and there it implements its concepts as mechanics as something the subnautica world would have, the things I would mostly like to be implemented/change is:
- Have a easier way to transfer data storage disks, as in have the options to empty them in another base or quick global transfer of items between bases, I like using Cyclops+Prawn to gather extra resources but it is a bit tedious having to manually send in the ores into my other bases.
- Make it so that the quantum teleportation is unlocked after reaching the final alien base or getting the recipes for ion batteries, for lore reasons more than anything.
I really like it as well - and it's definitely a lot of work to come from people who weren't getting paid for it :)

Damn Alterra is really competing with FICSIT. Can't wait to see what Aperture crafts up in Michigan. Surely Cave Johnson has an idea on automated machines. (Anyways LOVE this mod. also love The Stanley Parable music. I'm a TSP fan as well. Hope you enjoy Ultra Deluxe!)

My only problem with this absolutely incredible mod is that i feel like I couldn’t use it too much. It feels like there’s too little game for all of this stuff to be used to their fullest extent. By the time you solve the disease and build the rocket… now what? If there was a mod that made the game much longer, it would pair perfectly with this
Yeah fair - hopefully the Return of the Ancients mod will do exactly that :)
You could do what I do, start a new game and not bother with the story and just live on the planet.
That’s what I’m doing currently, just making a house and fishing.

Also wouldn’t the peeper juice vending machine mean that alterra already knows about the wildlife? I thought the degasi ship had no survivors (besides whats-her-name) to send info to alterra?

And don't try to corral people into your Discord. Casual gamers, like myself, aren't going to jump through hoops looking for a hot-fix or patch. Just put the bug-fix patches on your main download page so EVERYBODY can have easy access to them.

When i originally discovered the mod 2 years earlier i wasn't really intrested, but when i heard that there was a big update coming i cheked every single day to see if it came out for 4 months and it's finally here. I'm going to try it out NOW.

This mod is going on my list of "mods I want for my future modded playthrough" which died after I learned that the bloop mod hasn't been released... I'm also still learning how to install them, but I've been putting it off for right now. Maybe when I come back to it, I'll get this mod and have some fun with base decorating and stuff like that! :D

You know what I love about this? I've never even heard of this mod and it comes out a day after the video goes up. It's been effing 16 months since the gargantuan was teased, and still nothing on that front. What an ever-loving joke.

The red and white color scheme reminds me of the mercury 2 and the sol transgov. I think it would be cool if, when we eventually get a third installment, maybe we play as a sol employee for a change. Use sol transgov versions of the alterra tech weve seen previously. This design language looks similar to alterra while also different and if a team of modders can do it, the devs can too.
It would definitely be awesome to get a chance to learn more about other trans governments :)
@@TheLastBacon Yeah. They could have at least put a symbol for the sol transgov on the mercury 2 to give us a hint.
Edit: Maybe the player character in the next game could be a Sol employee who travels back to 4546b in search of the wreckage of the Mercury II, which was recently discovered by alterra, but something bad happens and they end up crashing in a new area of the planet.
