I tried to adjust my belt tension for 2 hours without success. Thank you for the tip that I need to turn a little further. Now it worked.😀😀😀

I have the same type of belt and eccentric bb on a custom bike. I rarely need to adjust the tension, so I forget how to do it.
This concise and to the point video has aided me immensely. Thanks.

I recently got a Co-op Cycle CTY 1.3 with a Shimano Alfine bottom bracket (BB-RS500). Is this the same type bottom bracket you're talking about in your video. It looks the same.

Hi Tony. I just bought the same bike and found this video so that I can fully understand the tension process. It looks exactly like the Genio unit. How do you like it so far?

I don't understand how turning that thing will tension or un-tension the belt, it doesn't make mechanical sense to me. Can someone explain?

the pedals are not centered in the bottom bracket, thus loosening and rotating the bracket will shorten or lengthen the distance between the bottom bracket and the rear wheel sprocket, thus tensioning the belt.

Or don't buy an eccentric bb style tourer. I own a rennstahl 853 reiserad has a rohloff and slider dropouts with vertical wheel mounting. Installed is a lifetime warranty royce Titanium square taper. Thank me later ❤❤❤

To each his or her own. A warranty isn't interesting though. What's to go wrong? It is about adjustability. Both types are ok
