    I just got this amp and it can get LOUD! Still trying to dial in some nice crunchy tones. Now that I know about the voice knob, I can easily get the sounds I want, thanks. Channel 2 is like a boost pedal, not much distortion, but a richer, saturated, more compressed sound. I was expecting the voice control to give that scooped out sound like I get on my Fender 65r using the contour control, but it affects the gain and timber much differently. I would need a huge place to turn this amp up much, so instead at home, an overdrive pedal will have to do. My cheap pedals love this amp too. Using a homemade 2X10, Celestion Ten 30's, it is very articulate and penetrating. Also I got an instrument cord, not the speaker cord the manual mentions.

      WOULD YOU RECOMMEND THIS TWEEDY TO A FRIEND?
      ARE YOU DRIVING A 12" (Speaker Wattage?)
      How much of a Solid State Signature does this Tiny Amp have? Can you hear the SS Signature "Strong" or Weak?"
      Do you think you can drive the Input Tube enough to distort with Single Coils and No Pedal?
      *After having bought this Tiny Amp...If you were given a choice to return it no questions asked...would you?
      Are you totally satisfied?
      *Last Question; After having played the Amp for a little while...how do you feel about the Joyo Tweedy?

      @@mojostrat58 I was driving a 60 watt 2- 10" speaker cab. I don't think I would recommend this amp, mine had a nonfunctioning bluetooth feature so I returned it.

    Could it be a good option, for a band context, to use the Tweedy preamp section only, and to drive it to the power amp section of a big solid state amp?

    I forgot you did the Jackman months ago, which I think is the Marshall equivalent ? Have you looked inside ? If they all are straight into 2 AX7 stages w no op amps before or in between tube sections, then all the Bantamps must have EQs sections for each amp they're mimicing. If thats the case it seems like they could put all the "amps" in one box w a switch for each EQ. Obviously they'd be hurting their own sales doing that, but an Ultra combo w all EQs at 2 or 3 x the price for a single amp might fly.

    Hi ! Thanks for this good demo, as always ! In my case, it comes at the right time : I just bought a baffle on sale so now I'm looking for the head ! This one seems to be nice for me : clean / crunch vintage tones, that's what I love. In your demo, I really appreciate when the "voice" is around 10:00 or less. I hope that this head will be available soon. I'm still hesitating with the H&K Spirit of Vintage... Cheers 👍👏

    There are guitarists who preferred using maxed out Fender amps for their heavy tones, when they could have used Marshalls or Hiwatts etc. Steve Jones (Sex Pistols) and Ted Nugent come immediately to mind on that.

    The distortion is described as a bit fuzzy on Joyo's page for the Tweedy and it definitely sounds that way, but the Meteor also sounds like a fuzzy style of overdrive but with more gain. Would you say the Meteor is sort of like a higher gain Tweedy without the voice knobs? I am also considering the Jackman. My favorite amp tones are the fuzzy tones on the Marshall Silver Jubilee, but the Jackman sounds quite bright and the Tweedy or Meteor sound like they might possibly get a bit closer. Would you say the Jackman is considerably brighter and more aggressive than the Meteor, or can it get those darker, fuzzy tones, too? Thanks!

    • @SRguitar
      @SRguitar  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey!
      I wouldn't say the Meteor is a higher gain Tweedy, but it's right that the Meteor also has some kind of fuzz tones. I can't A/B compare the Jackman and the Meteor, but I guess the Meteor is more what you are looking for :)

    • @TarenLeitzke
      @TarenLeitzke 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SRguitar Thank you! One more question: Would you say the Tweedy has a lot less gain than the Meteor or Jackman, or can it get really close? Thanks again!

    • @ArcanumA

      @@TarenLeitzke Hi! I have both the MeteOR I and the Jackman II. The MeteOR is much more gainy than the Jackman.
      They sound completely different, especially, on the Clean channel. The MeterOR is much warmer. Also the MeteOR can be cranked easily to fuzz, using boost pedals. On the other side, the Jackman is much more suitable as a pedal platform (IMO).
      I'm thinking about tweedy too... But I've not decided yet, as 2 my Bantamps provide a wide range of tones, especially, when using external drive pedals.

    • @TarenLeitzke
      @TarenLeitzke 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ArcanumA Thanks, this is really helpful to know! I am currently leaning towards ordering the Meteor and Jackman from Amazon to compare them and return the one I like less (or maybe keep both if I can't decide!). I'm debating between just comparing those two or waiting and getting the Tweedy, too. Admittedly, I could probably get the tones from the Tweedy with a cheap fuzz pedal in front of either the Meteor's or Jackman's clean channel.

    Hi can I just use this as an amp or does it need to be connected to something else? Can I plug my guitar in and that's it? Can I plug an iPod in to jam along? Thank you

    • @robertsilver5130
      @robertsilver5130 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It has no speaker like a combo amp has. So you have to connect it to a speaker cabinet. However, it does have a headphone out jack in the back, so you can simply plug it in and slap on some headphones (with a 1/4” jack), and also employ whatever pedals you may want to use. And it has Bluetooth, so it will pair with your phone or other device and you can jam along.

      In their literature they say the Tweedy is based on the American Sound pedal. I believe it’s their most popular pedal.

    • @TarenLeitzke
      @TarenLeitzke 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@renodavid So is the Jackman based on their British Sound pedal, the Meteor based on their Oxford Sound pedal, the Zombie based on their California Sound pedal, etc? So if you wanted to collect all the tones, it would be cheaper to just get your favorite tone in a Bantamp and the others in the pedals which you could run into the Bantamp's clean channel.
