I've eaten them a few times. Unfortunately, many of the places I encounter them aren't what I consider trustworthy water sources, but I keep a few now and then from the swamp. They're quite tasty, but not as much meat as their size suggests. Thanks for watching!

They are very much edible, I have a video on this channel where I harvested a couple and made fish tacos. I don't eat a lot of freshwater fish here, there is a lot of agricultural and other runoff/pollution here, sadly. But the swamp is a good filter so these would probably be as safe to eat as it gets.
