Can you maybe share your location on Millstädtersee ? i am there on holidays often and thought obout flying there ;-)
We flew from Hochpalfennock, in this area every peak looks super nice to fly from ;)

I use the salomon ultra carbon foldable. I have them for years now, never had a issue 👌
