When Method Acting Goes too FAR

Jared Leto, Nicholas Cage, Daniel Day Lewis, Joaquin Phoenix & Christian Bale are all actors who could be considered method actors.
They have gone to the extreme to portray various characters in American Psycho, There Will be Blood, Suicide Squad and The Joker.
But is it worth it?
