It's been described as baroquecore. The genre is first and foremost experimental fusion, including elements of black metal, baroque music, breakcore and trip hop. The vocalists sing in a made up language to cut out the distraction of words to focus on the emotions produced. Cheval is french for horse and Igorrr is the brainchild of Gautier Serre, a french musician. It's fun stuff :)
Holy shit, a reaction channel that _actually reacts_ and pauses to interject and share their thoughts instead of just blankly staring the entire video? Never thought I'd see the day.
I'm French and proud of that because of Igorrr. They are so unique and talented. When you expect something in the song, Igorrr is doing something else. Patrick is also a talented piano musicien. You don't know Patrick? He's the chicken.
Oh fuck yea I came across Igorrr I don't know, maybe a half a year ago and they just blew my mind. I am surprised not many people are aware of them. I am happy someone from Patreon suggested this.
The accordion air system is similar to the bagpipe; there's constantly air "available" in the central bellows, filled by pumping using the arms (a bit tricky to explain in text). The air is vented by the notes played on each side of it, similar to e.g. a church organ. There are of course many layout variations, but a common one has chord keys on the left side and the right side (which we see in the video) has single notes keys.
Igorrr Is a lot of fun, they happily blend a lot of genre from black metal to baroque, breakcore to classical or 8 bits and many more, and it twist and move from song to song. Right Now I'm obsess with himalaya massive ritual the recording one, not only the music is amazing but the video show how the work and make the instrument used in the song a must see.
Accordion is easy to understand, but hard to master. Close to edge is 1 or 2 octaves (small or big harmonica), buttons on the middle are halftones, and next set is same but, louder, more bassy, as it's closer to the bellows. So, you'll usually play solos on the edge and filling on inner side. Simpler accordions have piano keys instead of buttons, and it works the same. Can even have two layers of keys like organ. However, unlike piano, players usually learn by heart where each button or key is, as you don't have time to look at board and vent at the same time, and there is the mastery. So, look at accordion as a piano/organ that doesn't have strings, but air pipes instead, and it's not a big thing, but an instrument worn around neck or in lap.
Ever listened to Patapon 1/2/3 music? That game series and it's music is a diamond in the rough (remasters are less so 'cause of some bugs, but still good). I think you might enjoy it. The music is also dynamic, with extra vocals and sounds playing in-game based on what the player does, and what song is playing. Each bit of music has a few stages. There's stage 0, 1, 2, then Fever Mode, and each point will change the music depending on how well the player keeps their beat. I recommend seeing the early gameplay of Patapon 2 for a bit of context, then listening to the Instrumental tracks especially Gyorogyoro, Acchichichi/ Hot Hot Hot (desert theme), Pokkurimakka (which a really good instrumental can be heard for Patapon 3, on a level (Evilmass of Adamance) which on Floor 1 and 2 fits really well with the traps), and last: Hey Whazzat (final boss of Patapon 2, who also acts with double speed, challenging the player's rhythmic mindset along with music that is so chaotic yet somehow melodic.) And if you're fine with spoilers, watch the boss fights of Patapon 2, and Patapon 3's Evilmass of Adamance level (Floor 1 and 2 only). You'll hear the dynamic aspects kick in, and it's great. Just one last thing to note: Videos with instrumentals and gameplay vary in quality. A range of "Instrumental" videos include the dynamic audio too, but that's not a good representation without gameplay with the dynamic audio. And gameplay can potentially be brute-forced, especially stunlocking Patapon 2's final boss or just nuking things so fast you don't get to listen to the music enough.

I've been following this band since it was just a lad with a laptop. One thing you learn about Igorrr once you really get to known them is that you simply don't expect which way any given song is going to go on a first listen. Primary composer/engineer/multi-instrumentalist Gautier Serre has synesthesia, which he claims to have a thorough influence on the way he composes music. It shouldn't be a massive surprise that he's massively popular in the European breakcore scene, the man IS breakcore. If you like this particular song, which only gets just about 50% positive recognition from your fellow reactors, then please, by all and any means, treat yourself to more Igorrr, because you've never seen a deeper rabbit hole. Igorrr is such an infinitely creative band Check out "Igorrr - Houmous recording" for more according & Sax. Or "Opus Brain" for their breakbeat & acoustic sound, or "ieud" for an electro/black metal flavour. They're so damn good. P.S. if people ask for their track "Very Noise", it's just because of it's meme video. The actual song is pretty bland compared to much of their other stuff.
If you dig this you should check out Diablo Swing Orchestra, especially their song Superhero Jagganath. There's sooooo much going on and it seems like none of it should work together at all but they blend it so perfectly and seamlessly and their vocals are amazing. Igorrr being on my regular rotation led the algorithm to suggest DSO and I'm so glad it did.
Dude...Igorrr is fking brilliant. I'm going to see him in Philly in a few weeks. I'm so stoked to see what an Igorrr show is like. His shit is so well produced. Hard to know if it will translate to a live show but we'll see!!
I play the accordion, there are different many types of accordions and I'm not sure which one he has but mine has a standard piano keyboard on one side and chord buttons on the other. The chords are spread out over the whole side and are in a 1- 4- 5- (nashville numbers) pattern.
So, 3 lines of buttons in the right hands are main and 2 supportive. Vertically buttons are set in 2m and horizontally 3m, thus arpeggio accord playing horizontally is just diminutive f.e C-Eb-Gb-Bbb(A)
can never know what's comminh in few secounds with Igorrr! Would love to get the reactions for at leastone song per album, every song is totally different from another p.s. my friends that play accordeons where mad seeing this made with the instrument xD +1!
What genre is Igorrr? The answer is: yes. The MM - Musical Mastermind or Mad Man (usually both) - behind Igorrr is Gautier Serre, a French musician who does...this. Igorrr is not as much a band, but a project. Serre works with a lot of extremely talented musicians. He makes a mockery of genre constraints, he mixes and matches wildly different genres to create unique sounds and compositions that still feel harmonious somehow. From the extreme end of black metal, metalcore and the like, through techno, glitch, breakbeat, chiptunes, all way to choirs, orchestral and classical pieces, you can never know what to expect. It's always fresh, wild, incomprehensible and sheer genius. He uses a LOT of different, often obscure instruments, like the above accordion, different synths, violin, harpsichord, sitar, steel drum, a friggin angle grinder, basically anything that makes a sound. The compositions are intentionally varied and unpredictable, mashing together lots of styles and genres into single songs. On paper Igorrr is just a mess, but the musicianship, the engineering and the production quality is always insanely high, so expertly recorded and composed, that the incomprehensible mess becomes something otherworldly. Because of it's experimental nature Igorrr only achieved niche success at best, but the project has a small but very enthusiastic following to this day.
The genre is basically Avant Garde metal which combines elements of death metal, ambient and symphonic black metal. You should check out the band Öxxö Xööx which is another project of Laurent Lunoir, the frontman and mad genius behind Igorrr. I would recommend the track LMDLM for starters. And not trying to be a purist, but the name Igorrr should always be pronuced with a growl as you say the r's. Like your'e a starving bear about the eat a pick-e-nic basket.
Gautier (the frontman of Igorrr) does a LOT of sampling/synth in his music. Two songs that shows that is ieuD and Parpaing - it's all done using modular synthesisers. He's also very creative, he set a guitar amp on fire to record the guitar coming out of it to get an authentic crackly-fire-guitar sound and he once recorded a vacuum cleaner to sample. His chickens wrote a song, which he then produced... and then there's the beautiful one-take classical guitar song "Spaghetti Forever". They have a "making of" series for their latest album here on youtube, it's well worth watching, since you're a musician who clearly appreciates talent and dedication! Fun fact: the drummer's head cam was meant to face the drums but he knocked it or it wasn't tightened and then pointed at his nose, so Gautier kept it cos it was funnier - and they used a real harpsichord, which is apparently hard to find someone who can play one! Also, 'Cheval' is french for 'horse', hence the horse headbanging 😂
I actually just rewatched the making of (part 1) and there are some 8 bit synths generated or recorded by/through a NES! (Nintendo Entertainment System)
If you wonder why the horse in the middle of the video, Cheval in french is horse. Definitely one of my favourite band, go listen to Kung-Fu Chèvre! And yes, chèvre is goat. 😜 Your next step should be Clown Core! 😝
I could have saved so much time throughout my life if I'd just been introduced to this band as soon as I came out of the womb. I used to hang-out in record stores, borrow albums from my friends and listened to the radio all the time, that must add up to hundreds-of-thousands of hours, shit, I could have built a house in that time, I could have learned to play the clarinet or how to play chess, I could be a black-belt in Kung-Fu or a trapeze artist or a trick-shot artist with pistols and rifles...I could have watched every episode of Friends (not that I ever wanted to.) or...or...I could have written a novel...yeah, that's something I DID wanna do, write a novel. Dammit, if my mom had just slept with a big Bose speaker in the bed beside her when she was pregnant with me and blasted this music and then, when I was born, she could have handed me a stack of lyrics and music sheets and shoved a bottle in my face I could have been a happy child...a happy child, indeed.
Igorrr is a French band, one of the most inventive I have heard in the broad metal genre. Both their lives and their official videos are so full of creativity. The song "Tout Petit Moineau" at the live "Dour Festival 2014" is one singular moment: th-cam.com/video/1Rk1K5Mmnbg/w-d-xo.html
Sweet ! I'd love to hear your analysis on Leonard Cohen - You Want It Darker, this song got me kinda mesmerized even though it sounds fairly simple and I don't know why :D
Your reaction is the best. I never see any reaction that goes on every details of the instrument, really like it. I have a suggestion, Please do a reaction for 'Fairy Tail' music, it's an anime, their music hit different.
@@DrumRollTonyReacts Hi, bro Thanks for your swift reply. There are many good tracks of fairy tail music th-cam.com/video/2kKOpJAgH8A/w-d-xo.html this is the best link I have found. Thanks again bro, I really appreciate it
PLEASE!!!! reacts to enigma he is a Brazilian singer and music producer and makes geek-style rock music, I highly recommend overhaul music (he won't strike, several Brazilians have already reacted)
one interesting fact, the main man of Igorrr has synesthesia. In short, people with synesthesia have their senses kinda mismatched, some of them, when they see a color, they taste something. When some of them hear sounds, they see colors. But that's just a bare bones explanation, if interested look up more.
If you liked this one, I would suggest Diablo Swing Orchestra as well. Almost all songs, but I think from drum perspective Voodoo Mon Amour is fire :) th-cam.com/video/m2mZVOd0jWY/w-d-xo.html
Diablo Swing Orchestra's first two albums left me cold. The ideas were great, but the execution didn't gel. The vocalist is completely disconnected from the music, whereas on the third album they nailed it. It's as perfect as you can get the recipe. However, on the fourth album, they fell down the stairs (I think most of the band left, or something? At least the female vocalist left) and became a lot more standard rock. Although there were one or two good songs. I haven't heard the latest.

Haha, best comment
Igorrr is a French band, one of the most inventive I have heard in the broad metal genre.
Both their lives and their official videos are so full of creativity.
The song "Tout Petit Moineau" at the live "Dour Festival 2014" is one singular moment: th-cam.com/video/1Rk1K5Mmnbg/w-d-xo.html
HAHAHA this is gold
Igorr is just insane, you should really check it. I recommend you ieuD or Nervous Waltz.

I'd love to hear your analysis on Leonard Cohen - You Want It Darker, this song got me kinda mesmerized even though it sounds fairly simple and I don't know why :D

Welcome to the chicken hole
Oh, and that was polkacore... one of the 127 genres Igorrr has mastered
Lol, 127 in the first album.
You should try igorrr houmous at some point
one interesting fact, the main man of Igorrr has synesthesia. In short, people with synesthesia have their senses kinda mismatched, some of them, when they see a color, they taste something. When some of them hear sounds, they see colors. But that's just a bare bones explanation, if interested look up more.
Woah. That's very interesting. Thanks for sharing and I will be looking that up
I think is a Fisarmonic
DIRTY LOOPS - Rock You - EL ESTEPARIO SIBERIANO Drum please!!!!!!!
So what is this, circus power gumbo?
Techno-Thrash-Turbo-Guinguette is my guess 😆
please react to "00's insane medley'' from inutilismo
