She gets me so excited about all the fabrics and patterns. It's funny how many items I get that are the same as hers, and yours. It always makes me smile that I bought stuff that you two are showing! Oh btw--NEVER go online shopping at night!!! That's when I bought all my fabrics, lol!

Your new outfit is GORGEOUS!! Those are such pretty colors on you! Yes, those self-checkouts can be a challenge. I've learned to leave the items where I'll need help for last so I don't have to keep calling the clerk over for assistance: glue, spray paint, adult bevs, etc. Your story had me laughing so hard I had to swallow my coffee lest I spray all over the laptop! lol Thanks for the kind words and shout out on my video. That Rhino Quilt turned out too cute! I have some of that b/w cabbage rose stretch from Joann's. Not much though; was going to make shorts. As always, great video!

What a fun start to my day!! It took me a year to start using self serve gasoline when that became a thing and have shied away from the self checkout at the grocery. That woman in the little box is intimidating! One of these days.....

My weird button source: I can find blouses at thrift stores for less than new buttons cost. I've gotten some beautiful buttons there! Thanks, Joy, for the belly laughs. Laughing WITH you!
I have that same floral denim and made Jalie jeans - love them. I found some really unique buttons at a local knit shop. Would never have thought of looking there but a friend suggested it when I was complaining about the button selection at Joann - OMG!

You had me in tears laughing about your grocery store adventure, self check out is not for little old ladies like me either. I talk to myself in the grocery store if I am by myself, people look at me but I don’t care, because they don’t know me.

Hi Joy, I never touch those awful computer check-out thingies on the tables at restaurants, either, and I always use my elbow and push it so the flashing, annoying ads are not facing me. I also either wash my hands or use hand sanitizer or a wipe after looking through the menu and ordering. Those things are germ factories!! Thanks for the giggles today.

Our walmart has just installed new self checkout machines. Every time I use them I have a problem and have to get help. I do like the convenience of not having to stand in line . Love hearing your adventures and yes I laughed at you. Take care

I have been laughing with you...so hilarious! I'm sure the self-check assistants curse us older ladies who didn't grow up with technology. I decided the stars must not be aligned today. I spent 45 minutes trying to locate my 14 year old granddaughter in an international airport today. Thank goodness for cell phones (it could have been disastrous). Somehow my husband thought i was mistaken and dropped me off at the wrong terminal. Lots of laughs afterwards about what i went through trying to get out of one terminal and into another.

My tush is as big as Montana and let me tell you flowers are going to do me no favors. You have inspired me to try and make myself some pants. I used to make clothes for myself all the time. I don’t like the self checkout, but I have learned how to use them pretty well. I won’t let my husband use them though because the things that were happening to you ALWAYS happens to him and he gets so frustrated and mad and starts griping out loud, that he’s just walked out of the store leaving our groceries just sitting there! So if we use those checkouts now, I do it myself! It really is quicker than standing in a long line when you only have a few things in your cart.
Love your grocery store story! I needed to laugh today, thank you! You really do need a scan n cut! As much as you like to do applique quilts, it would make it so much easier for you! I think the software that probably came with your new Solaris (or Luminaire) probably reads the cut files to make the applique file. I have the same model scan n cut that Becky has, but the new one (of course more expensive) I think might be better than what I have.
