Cracking vid mate. As a 964 owner I just can’t go past them. Such a great generation of 911 and they take modifications so well - both visually and mechanically. When you’ve made the right mods to a 964 it’s mind blowing what the car is capable of.
That’s a seriously good looking 964 and looks a credit to the owner and the modifications have obviously been carefully chosen and skilfully applied. Love it.
You and Harry M. The two youtubers who you actually feel know about cars and aren't just into 'straight piping' and wrapping everything. Keep up the fantastic videos.
Thank you for reviewing this car Sid. I’ve wondered about it since I first saw it on Instagram. The active suspension is really interesting; I wasn’t aware that existed as an aftermarket product. Suspension is key to a good handling car. The active suspension on this car is multiple steps above what Singer puts on their cars. Based on that alone, my guess would be that this 964 handles better than a Singer. As you pointed out, at a deeper level, this car is a hot rodded 964. The modifications have preserved the 964 DNA of the car. I think this respect for Porsche’s design intent is crucial. For all their excellence in engineering and execution, Singer has strayed into fantasy land with their backdate brief. I would guess that Singer keeps less than 15% of the ‘donor’ 964. As the owner of a resto-modded 964, Singer’s basic lack of respect for the integrity of the 964 platform offends me. Ian’s car still has its direct connection to to the car that Porsche designed and built. This is the most meaningful way to do a hot rodded resto-mod project.
Most beautiful 964 mod i have ever seen! Even the wheel design is close to the original 17inch that c2 had and moreover in magnesium, a standard in 964RS form...
Really nice build!, so refreshing to see a 964 kept as a 964vand not "back- dated " to the bodyshape! That singer and theon design do!, I think the 964 era cars are the perfect blend of the old 911's F BODY car's and the modernity of liquid cooled911cars- onwards car's! , just my opinion ofcourse! 😌 I'd loved to see more 964's saved or transformed in this style! 😊well done!
3.8 liter engine build, 6 speed conversion, really trick active suspension. You're right, definitely a budget Singer. Lot of work and lots of money in this car. Do you know, is it a 993 gearbox? I know Ruf does a conversion of the 964 gear box to 6 speed.
The 993 gear box switch into a 964 is usually good motorway cruising, you won’t necessarily notice it. Maybe this 964 has had something else done to it?
I personally prefer the 993, looks wise it is stunning (front end , back end🥰) and that engine above 4/5k rpm is incredible, feels incredible especially the variorum model, lord ave mercy what an engine note❤️.
Thank you Sid for this offering which I only just stumbled upon. I found it highly enjoyable. To answer your question, the 964 in Carrera 4 guise is my favourite classic 911. Just want to be certain I don't need up backwards headed for the forest. LOL Best wishes
How does it rev to 8k? The stock 964 redlines at like 6.5k, no, and increasing displacement to 3.8l should be counterproductive to higher revs? Is the engine going to need a rebuild much quicker than stock? Anyways, may be the best aircooled flat6 I've heard aside from the Singer lightweight study.
ANY PERSON LOVE PORSCHE LIKE THIS,need respect and friendly.is most expensive hobby but the good is sharing all experience.thank u for share.(my dreamer is 993-turbo large wing).my Godness.bye.
Good vid Sid!! 😃😃👍🏼👍🏼 thoroughly enjoyed. Can someone PLEASE tell me what that purple is called on the 1st porsche u see in the garage?? Stunning colour!!!! 😍😍
Nice car but you can create something dynamically better for half of the cost. A high end set of passive dampers matched to the spring rate would be a more predictable, engaging and ultimately quicker car
If my numbers come up, I would consider a Restomod watercooled Porsche or 105 series Alfa Romeo than any current supercar! The question is which to go for? Singer Or Kaege Porsche or Alfaholics GTA-R? Decisions, decisions.....
Loved the vid, it’s a bit distracting how you say “as well too” so often. No hate, lovely video and great review, I want one of these as my daily soooo bad
Very nice! My 964 is very similar. I spent way too much money on my car but don’t regret it. I bought my mint condition 93 C2 over 20 years ago and slowly modified to a full blown race car. I raced my car about eight years then I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s. I had to decide what to do with my car. Since I love driving my car, I decided to do a windows out restoration. I removed most of my racing parts and hired a body shop that knows how to make a show car shine. I have a few videos in my channel. Question, can you tell me the make / model / size / offsets on the wheels? I was planning to have two sets of wheels. Installed in my car is the 8” and 9 x17 factory wheels with all season sports tires. I was thinking about buying a set of 18” E88’s but the cost and lead times are too much to swallow. Thanks
man like sid
Man like Ricky! 👊🏽🔥
What does that shit even mean?!
Lol
@@Waterlego you ain’t br-ish you won’t understand
@@dwightdaniel8836 oh I am mate
I really like this build. The owner made their mods without trying to make it look like something it’s not. Tastefully and well done.
Finally a TH-camr that can drive properly :) don’t stop

Nice review and also nice Omega!!!
What a perfect Pocket Rocket. Looks to me like I'd take this over a Singer all day long. Let me know when @harrisclassic is selling it.

Love a 964 as well.
That is a super class build, don't think I'd change anything? 🤔

Think the 964 is my favourite shape too. With I’d have bought a good one when they were about 15 grand ☹️
More Porsche please
Great video, thanks.

Inset a POV cam please Sid, it's the only way to get a feel for how she drives..
I like this video as well too
Sideways Sid 👍🏻
Must be great to run a business that can write off the cost of a classic car as a business expense. Yes, i'm very jealous.
