Randy or Monty don't let a bride try on dresses over their budget unless the bride insists on it, which is awesome because them they won't fall in love with the dress they can't afford. These people are always going over budget.
The consultant probably only had one dress that was dark coloured so she showed it to the bride she is just doing her job. It is the bride’s fault if the bride wanted to get a dark coloured dress she should have visited a store that sells evening gowns not a bridal store
@@arshiyabegum8556 they still didn’t consider telling the bride the price and that it was over budget BEFORE letting her try it on, which i find is incredibly ridiculous.
@@arshiyabegum8556 yes that is true, but sometimes when you think it REALLY IS THE DRESS, it’s very hard to let it go and move onto the next dress that you don’t love as equally as the last. It’s very hard, ‘do I save up for it or do I find another dress in my budget?’
Her budget was 1500 quid, they put her in something nearly 2000 quid, which is an additional 33%, and then had the nerve to say it was "just a little bit over budget". This shop is vile in how they constantly push a bride's budget by putting her in something without telling her the price, and then try to gaslight her about what they're doing by pretending it's not that big a deal.
If she wanted a dark dress she should have gone to a store wear they sell evening gowns not a bridal store. Most of the brides usually wear light coloured dresses. Gok doesn't own the store in Lancashire. He doesn't even work there. He is the host that the show has to help sell the show. Have you ever gone to a bridal store and gotten TWO consultants? Besides, Lancashire is a store in a lower-cost region. Of course the dresses will be cheaper. Then it doesn't carry the high-end dresses this shop has. And it also doesn't have any colored dresses or ones with color on them. So this bride would have not looked that store. If you're so hung up on budget, why aren't you wondering why the bride didn't research shops before she applied for this show? Most of the dresses in this shop start at £1200-1500. That is ridiculous. She has no idea of reality if she thinks it's "just a little over budget". I actually think she could do better within her budget. How far away is Gok's shop?

And veils if you want one also cost something I don't understand why they often just don't consider something like that?!
You've stuck two brides in this dress, and it in both occasions exceeded the budget of each bride. One said yes, because she absolutely fell in love with it, but seeing as her episode was earlier, I wonder if she didn't end up leaving with it. You should never stick a bride in an overpriced dress before letting them know the pricetag.
Well, we continue to see "Gothic" brides purchasing white dresses when they say they want black. I know white can be Gothic, and I do wear it, however I never cease to be amazed at how Kleinfields Never has but one black dress and the brides Always end up in white. Everyone always seems so bothered about someone wearing black to a wedding. I Really would like to see Anyone who wants a black dress actually getting one. Why don't they provide more Black dresses when they know people are going to ask for them? I think the dress she chose was very pretty, but I liked the dark purple one better even if it wasn't black, it was closer.
I don't know why people who want colored dresses don't shop somewhere else. But you'd think there'd be more variety in wedding dress colors since more people seem to want them.
You do know that almost all brides wear light coloured dresses right. It will be a loss for them to have sample pieces which no one wants to try. If you want a dark coloured dress just go to a store that sells evening gowns
In Germany we have a few bridal stores specializing in gothic weddings. It's a huge market and they offer real gothic styles and make custom dresses and suits. One of the stores was on TV, too and it was so amazing to finally see some truly happy gothic brides in beautiful gowns.
I think they deliberately went so far over budget to put her off the first dress, it was so obvious that the consultant hates the idea of a black or alternative style dress. There is literally nothing alternative about the dress she chose, the gaslighting is strong here
i forgot if was it Randy or Monty who said, "don't ever try on the dress that exceeds your budget, because once you tried it on then you fall in love with it, and you know you cant afford it, it will ruin your dream." that's so true and great advice.
I'm sure I recall Randy saying this in an episode. But a half decent consultant will not do that to a bride. I love Gok because he is so respectful of budget, he is on point there~
Very few wedding dresses can come in black. Most of the time, the dresses are as shown. Some can come in a few other colors, but not many. And most of those are like ivory, blush, or champagne. Remember that these are WEDDING dresses.
@Paula Weber And guess what? Being a wedding dress isn’t an excuse for it not to come in black. Wedding dresses can come in any color. Look around the world wedding dresses aren’t always white. And these people should know by now that some people don’t want white and may want to go with another color like black or red or purple or any other color. They should make it an option to get the dress in other colors.
The consultant didn’t actually help her get her dream dress. I think the dark dress suited her much better. The white dress with the short front made her look very juvenile
I found the consultant annoying from "just a little bit over budget" nonsense downplay to the constant references to how she doesn't reeeeally want black and that "not a bit of black in sight!" Part at the end. Like, you can help nudge a person into more clarity without sounding like you feel like you know best and that what they wanted was a delusion. That's how she sounded to me.
You can find so many wonderful alternative shops in the UK that sell wedding dresses. Shops I frequent online myself and know they are worth it. Dark in closet has gorgeous gowns. Kate's clothing sells a wide selection of goth clothes at a discount. Dracula clothing has amazing bustle skirts and the best corsets. These are just a few.
I never understand why brides looking for Goth, or Boho or other non-traditional styles goes to a super traditional salon. Try vintage shops or have something made. Very glad she loved her dress, but.. it's pretty safe and quite ordinary.
Almost every single one of those dresses would have been at or above her £1500 budget. This is a small store, and there is not a huge selection of gowns. And finally, she wanted "different" which may cost more. If she really wanted to stay in her budget, she should have gone to a different store.
She completely ignored that red dress while looking through the racks, then had to act surprised and pleased when the consultant brought it into the fitting room 😴🥱
this consultant always puts a bride over the budget. She said she doesn't "normally put a bride in an over budget dress" Lies, right there. You always do woman, I have been binge watching this show and if its not David Emmanuel, its you.
it's both of them. Don't forget, David Emmanuel is the owner of the shop. It's obviously the shop's shitty style. I would NEVER go there for a wedding dress.
I think whatever the bride wants, that's her dress, but at the same time I was thinking, I feel like a nice greyish, even a light grey dress would look absolutely stunning and yet still elegant on her. Like imagine the dress she picked as a grey color. Maybe it's just me but I feel like it would match her tone so well. Or even a dark maroon, maybe a burgundy, or that dress in black.
The black/purple dress was incredible! It would have gone fabulously in the room where the ceremony will be. But it is quite over the top too. I think the lace in the final gown is perfect and shows that the type of lace makes a big difference in the mood.
As much as she looks incredible and she's very happy, I hate this. The consultant pushed her out of the coloured/dark dresses just because it's not her style, and not the style this shop carries much- ie if the bride pushes for that, the store will lose a customer. Don't even get me started on putting her in dresses over the budget. I would never go to these stores, even if I lived in America!! As I said though, the bride was lovely, and the dress is beautiful. The consultant and David just left me a bit mad.
Why why why do consultants go over budget when she had already said my absolute was £1500.00? This would piss me off if a consultant did it to me. She knew her mum was paying for it too. I will never understand why do do this
They put them in something they know they'll hate and won't flatter them right before putting them in an over budget flattering dress in hopes of tricking the brain and getting them to go over budget.
Sorry but the consultant should warn the ‘ bride’ it’s over budget before they try it on. When my daughter goes wedding dress shopping I would hate to be in the position of having that type of emotional blackmail . It’s so unfair 😡😡😡
I wish I could tell the bride to try an Amanda Palmer hairstyle next. She would be so freaking cute with the long curls piled on top, with the undercut. I love her. 🖤🖤🖤
Exactly from these consultants bride's mood ruins, and from the selected dresses I roll my eyes..🙄 I wish for everyone supportive relatives, amazing dresses, happy marriage and life 💐
The first dress was stunning! YOU said you wanted dark. You said having a “masquerade party!” They brought you the PERFECT gown. She says Nah, I don’t want dark, it feels like a costume party. I’m literally spinning around in my kitchen.
The consultants in this store really aggravate me and I'm not even going to bother to list all the things she did wrong. Love the bride though. Hellyeah Motley Crue!
Surely as part of applying to be on the show one of the questions is budget, therefore why does this store always put brides in dresses well over budget!
I dunno…a hi-lo dress? That’s what did it? I thought she would go for something really avant-garde, so a regular wedding dress shop shouldn’t be an option, should it?
They should tell them it is over budget before putting it on so then they can decide whether they want to risk falling in love with it even with the price.
"Jess is..................... been my friend for 3 years" Why would you advertise that you're not that good friends and haven't known each other that long? Normally the bride would introduce her as her best/closest/good/ stylish/fun/ childhood friend. And that awkward long silence 😳
no one gonna talk ab how that dress was in the bg the whole time and they just,, pretended it dindt exist?? im pretty sure they asked her before what she wanted so they could have it there. I think they did the same thing for another ep where a girl wanted a dramatic dress and coincidentally there was a red one behind her.
I am an old, short, fat woman, sitting in her pajamas, in Venus, Texas,USA and I could see that the 2nd dress wasn't going to match the personality of the bride. Why even make her try it? I am sure they have a few other dresses, that might not be " the" dress, but much closer than that 2nd dress. And how is it, that these bridal consultants, that are standing right there, talking to the actual bride, not know better?
Also, she and her fiance could come up with the difference. My husband and I paid for almost everything and our parents paid for the flowers and then helped with our new home tremendously.
I'm confused on why some people blame the consultant when the bride herself chose to move away from dark colors? I guess she could have shown her blush or silver but would she liked it, I didn't remember her saying no to ivory like she did the white dress. 🤔
Idk what year this particular episode aired and when her wedding was but Etsy and other stores sell beautiful black gowns for well under $1000! There’s a gorgeous one in there now for $400 and it’s a 2 piece, the top is a romper and the skirt is separate and it has long lace sleeves and something like that would have been perfect !!!
Props to them for obviously shoving that purple dress in the background of the opening scene like it belonged there

@@dayschange2 Yes as soon as I saw it I thought 'that's the Steampunk woman's dress that was supposed to be a one off'. And it didn't fit HER either!
It was the brides choice, nobody told her to wear white, she came up with that herself.
There is literally nothing alternative about the dress she chose, the gaslighting is strong here
"I never thought I'd find something so perfect" GIRL it was RIGHT NEXT TO YOU FOR THE ENTIRE INTRO
So was that purple/red/black one like it didn’t stand out 🤣
The dress was not even black. It was definitely a dark maroon.
I actually loved that dress.💖
i forgot if was it Randy or Monty who said, "don't ever try on the dress that exceeds your budget, because once you tried it on then you fall in love with it, and you know you cant afford it, it will ruin your dream."
that's so true and great advice.
I'm sure I recall Randy saying this in an episode. But a half decent consultant will not do that to a bride. I love Gok because he is so respectful of budget, he is on point there~
@@fancykatya I agree. Thank you for reminding me about who said it.
I love how shocked and happy the friends look whenever she walks out. They are so supportive!
Loved the sentiment on her bag: 'No Animal Testing.' Hope she had a magical wedding day.
I think something like Fleur’s wedding dress in Harry Potter would suit her, white with the black swans would be amazing for a dark fantasy wedding
I just googled it, they were peacocks, not swans
The consultant was awful. Instead of finding the bride what she wanted she was trying to get her to get over having a black dress.
I have the same thought, they would just let them try on some white dresses and make them black
She chose herself, it wasn't force on her. The consultant gave her what she thought she wanted, but the bride made the choice to go a different way.
If the bride said no to color, why should the consultant hammer in on something she doesn't want anymore.
I honestly thought the first one looked absolutely magical on her. Not in a costume way, but but in an other worldly way
Me too
Totally.
Me too, but it was well over her budget. Im betting she saw the price while trying it on, and ruled it out because it was more the 2x over her budget.
the ivory one, instead, was so underwhelming...
couldn't have suited her less, honestly
I can't believe she actually liked it...
That's how she sounded to me.
yeah, she wins the irritation trophy
You can find so many wonderful alternative shops in the UK that sell wedding dresses. Shops I frequent online myself and know they are worth it. Dark in closet has gorgeous gowns. Kate's clothing sells a wide selection of goth clothes at a discount. Dracula clothing has amazing bustle skirts and the best corsets. These are just a few.
I think that she should have tried a bright blush rose dress or a dress that has different color Tull for the flare she’s so pretty!
I never understand why brides looking for Goth, or Boho or other non-traditional styles goes to a super traditional salon. Try vintage shops or have something made. Very glad she loved her dress, but.. it's pretty safe and quite ordinary.
Maybe deep down they don't really want that?
Why do they always give the brides over priced dresses especially when they have a strict budget
"I normally wouldn't put a bride in a dress that's over budget..."
THE SHEER AUDACITY!!!
I propose to go to Goodwill for a dress . This will meet anyone's budget 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Y is she in a wedding store? Lol... she can get beautiful dresses of all colors elsewhere, way within her budget...
What normally wouldn't put a bride so over budget? 😂 @2.44
and 3 dresses in she's still going $500 over budget
I think whatever the bride wants, that's her dress, but at the same time I was thinking, I feel like a nice greyish, even a light grey dress would look absolutely stunning and yet still elegant on her. Like imagine the dress she picked as a grey color. Maybe it's just me but I feel like it would match her tone so well.
Or even a dark maroon, maybe a burgundy, or that dress in black.
Her budget is 1500 not 3510 how disrespectful of the consultant
The black/purple dress was incredible! It would have gone fabulously in the room where the ceremony will be. But it is quite over the top too. I think the lace in the final gown is perfect and shows that the type of lace makes a big difference in the mood.
Double the budget the first dress is a no no
How nice are her friends. They obviously love her
As much as she looks incredible and she's very happy, I hate this.
Uh.... This shop is in the UK, NOT America....
@@killinglonliness88 Haha whoops, that's what happens when I type early in the morning. Point stands 😂
"It's a little over budget"
Bruh, it's literally DOUBLE the budget ! What a terrible consultant.
And the final dress was over budget too. 🙄
Her friends are so supportive, love friends like that
Her top top budget was 1500. You can’t put her in more. Not fair.
A masquerade ball is a wonderful idea!! I love it!!
Why why why do consultants go over budget when she had already said my absolute was £1500.00? This would piss me off if a consultant did it to me. She knew her mum was paying for it too. I will never understand why do do this
The consultant introducing herself like David Emmanuel 🤣🤣🤣
"I'm Sue...... Patterson"
Why do they keep asking for the bride’s budget if they clearly don’t respect that?
Surely the store has some edgy, gothic style dresses in white. Not sure why the consultant showed her dress 2.
They put them in something they know they'll hate and won't flatter them right before putting them in an over budget flattering dress in hopes of tricking the brain and getting them to go over budget.
I think ivory or white with a splash of color would be AWESOME.
Sorry but the consultant should warn the ‘ bride’ it’s over budget before they try it on. When my daughter goes wedding dress shopping I would hate to be in the position of having that type of emotional blackmail . It’s so unfair 😡😡😡
When the bride said her budget price limit I immediately knew the consultant was going to show her dresses over the budget 😳.
Going that over budget is like they don't respect or don't care about the limits of this customers
I love alternative queens ❤️
That consultant showed her a dress that was twice her budget - with another £510 on top -- SHOCKING. You won't catch me in that shop !!!!
She looks more like those girls in western saloon
I love the masquerade ball theme for a wedding. That would be so fun
she should try a black veil with black heels
There are literally hundreds of dresses elsewhere to suit her style UNDER budget.
These two friends are just wonderful 🥰
I wish I could tell the bride to try an Amanda Palmer hairstyle next. She would be so freaking cute with the long curls piled on top, with the undercut. I love her. 🖤🖤🖤
Exactly from these consultants bride's mood ruins, and from the selected dresses I roll my eyes..🙄
I wish for everyone supportive relatives, amazing dresses, happy marriage and life 💐
The first dress was stunning! YOU said you wanted dark. You said having a “masquerade party!” They brought you the PERFECT gown. She says Nah, I don’t want dark, it feels like a costume party. I’m literally spinning around in my kitchen.
“I got one more dress up my sleeve”
Me: you ain’t got no sleeve on ya
It’s the sea of white & this plum dress just sitting there 😂‼️
Ok was it just me or the first dress looked more like dark dark purple more that well black 😅 probably just me !!
They just need to start asking what the price is the moment the consultant comes in with a new dress and immediately saying no if it's over budget.
When she said she got proposed to at a Motley Crue concert I legit cried. I want that kind of love so bad. I relate to her completely
The consultants in this store really aggravate me and I'm not even going to bother to list all the things she did wrong. Love the bride though. Hellyeah Motley Crue!
-.- why does the guy has to be one of the girls?! Man can't be friends? Can't have an opinion on a dress?
Sad :(
Surely as part of applying to be on the show one of the questions is budget, therefore why does this store always put brides in dresses well over budget!
I would be so angry if they put me in a dress that was over budget.
0:10 I love that she's against Animal Testing 🥰🥰🥰 She seems like a wonderful person in genereal, also her friends seem really nice
you beach
"Jess is..................... been my friend for 3 years"
Why would you advertise that you're not that good friends and haven't known each other that long?
Ya I don't think she understood her style
Love how the consultant gasped when the bride said it’s what I thought I wanted but..
Consultants like I knew that
If that second dress had the flowers going down all the way it would've been really beautiful
So once again they’re not respecting the budget,…wow I am shocked.
I hate consultants who are like “I know it’s way over budget but I’m sure you can make it work” I loose all respect for them
Also, she and her fiance could come up with the difference. My husband and I paid for almost everything and our parents paid for the flowers and then helped with our new home tremendously.
That dress was the perfect unique Masquerade dress
I'm confused on why some people blame the consultant when the bride herself chose to move away from dark colors? I guess she could have shown her blush or silver but would she liked it, I didn't remember her saying no to ivory like she did the white dress. 🤔
The bride is a real sweetheart tho...it was good to see her so happy 🇦🇺
Josh seems like such a sweetheart, I’d love to have a guy friend like that
Lol, The dress was RIGHT THERE!
I want to see what type of shoes she will wear. She could have a lot of fun with the shoes.
I wanna see how committed she is... what a sales tactic
She deserved much more respect!! >:( Wish she had gone to Auntie Gok instead!
