This video was without a doubt the most exciting muskie fishing I have ever seen. Then to top it all off, the way that you filmed this trip, I felt like I was a member on the boat with all three of you! The only drawback was that I wasn't allowed to cast out a line; so enjoyable just the same. Thank you all so much for allowing me to enjoy your experience of a lifetime! You made my day!

One of the best musky vids I've seen on TH-cam. I fish in northern Minnesota in Deer River, MN since I was a child {70's}. I have my lakes record musky of a 54" on the original top water prop bait, the Poe's Awaker. I had a week of top water heaven in 2013.., 19 muskies for the week all on top water. I know this was 3 years ago but awesome to re watch again before my musky trip soon. Keep up the great vids Rob & Lee! and Heidi

Just stumbled across this here in OR on a lazy afternoon. Yep, that's my hometown. Graduated from UW in '93. Lost a nice pair of Arnette Sunglasses windsurfing in that bay right there back in the day! I do not think Muskies existed in the Dane County lakes back then???

Truly the best TH-cam fishing video I've watched and that's a lot of videos! You guys know I love your channel and 12 fish, 18 bites is beyond belief, but so cool. I know you love to fish, but watching Heidi catch four giants in one day was so special. She is a great addition to this video. Please have her fish with you on future trips. Pairing her with Nattie Up North on the Madison chain could be epic, but after this video she may never have the same experience again. A once in a lifetime adventure for all of you! I can catch a crap ton of 4-5 lb Northern Pike but I'll be damned, I cannot catch a Muskie.
Go to Lake St. Clair, you WILL get one there. While a day like this is a once in a lifetime event in WI waters (And most others), it's very possibly at St. Clair. My best day there is 14, but I know guys that have documented 20+ fish days over there. It's truly the Musky mecca of the world.

That’s probably the best display of muskie fishing ever!
My fishing buddy and I discovered night fishing for musky in the late 80's. We had a 9 fish night ( 42" bring the best fish) on a heavily fished, small, clear, Wisconsin lake. We would, what we called "shop the lake" to see what fish followed right before sunset. Then wait till it got completely dark before we headed out to hit our spots where we had follows. Depending on the conditions (which included the moon) frequently those follows translated into crushing bites! We had numerous multiple fish nights most of which were during the summer peak with humid calm conditions.
Thats very cool.
In Wisconsin, in the summer, you almost have to fish clear water at night to have much hope of boating one, but it can be really good though too...obviously. :)

I want to get into musky fishing so badly just don’t have a clue what to get. I do a lot of fly fishing on the rivers never have I chased muskies but damn does it look exciting. You should do a gear review with what you use rods and reels and the whole nine yards.

I take that back. Someone should buy Heidi 4 reproduction mounts of her fish, the hump back and the divot fish plus the other 2. Mount the fish together. That's a once in a life event, 2 unusual fish in 1 day plus 2 more regular fish.
Looks to me like you have your own Leech Lake Muskie Rampage going on there in Wisconsin. (for those old enough to remember or have heard about the Leech Lake Rampage.) Yeah, looks like you had perfect weather conditions.
Lee, you should look that orange Water Chopper over very closely to see if there is something different about it, compared to the others, to see why the fish were hitting that one more.

Dream day! Just started this endeavor 5 weeks ago and just acquired a real set up so look out! It's so addicting and I haven't even caught one yet but I'm hooked. Game on and watching your videos just motivate me even more. I live in Pennsylvania about an hour south of Pittsburgh so river fishing is the closest to me so do you have any suggestions for fishing rivers? It looks like you do mostly lake fishing but thats not the nearest to me to fish so gotta make do with what I got. Any suggestions from anyone would be much appreciated. Thanks
