    I would like to see gnarlier/more technical/tight steep sections in WC rather than bigger jumps

      The same. But i guess they want to make it more interesting for general public. General public is attracted by big jumps, rather than proper downhill

    Ronan is the man of 2024 won Hardline Tassie won Poland worldcup just got his RedBull helmet and I’m thinking either a 1 or 2 in Hardline Wales it’s between him and BK but I’m hopeful for Ronan

    I don't care about massive jumps and monster features in WCs, there is Hardline, Darkfest, Rampage if you want to see huge stuff. I want proper DH at the world cups. Get rid of all the 50mph bike park motorways and give us technical, rough, hardcore, NATURAL courses. The bikes and riders are so capable these days, give them something challenging where time can be made and lost and skill rewarded - everyone will be identical speed over a motorway-to-90ft double

      Seems like Hardline UK was like this. Big difference in speed and lines at the top and in certain other sections between the guys really moving and the others. They made it look smooth and easy, kind of insane.

      @@colemangreen4191 Agree! The youtubery stuff is very much "yoooo look at the massive jumps" but watching the race it was the track and terrain that had me thinking holy crap... i was sceptical, almost thinking that Hardline is turning into slopestyle XL, but happy to be proved very much wrong!

    Great chat! To Ronan's point, hopefully we see some of the top world cup guys at the next Maydena Hardline - tech and big jumps, feels like a race, that one. Wales feels caught between a race and freeride. Anyway, great rider, lovely guy, and sleeper content, can't miss.

    I'm appauled at times to see what the World Cup racers have to race on. These are supposed to be the best of each nation, the best of the best. They should be absolutely challenged at every race, I do not see that challenge in allot of the courses. Big jumps, gaps and tough stuff in the rocks should be the norm for these folks.
    great interview, we will be watching Ronan doing his thing, good luck!

    Hardline and jumps defo have their place but don’t think they should focus on putting 90 ft gaps in dh races. There’s kids racing and just downhillers. The bar has definitely been raised but reckon watching people racing down cool dh features where people are sliding out etc.. is way more exciting..or can be. Leave them for Hardline and downhill for downhill !!!!

    if DH was all about jumping man made stuff, like motoX, i would lose interest. If I want to see jumps i watch mx, if i want to see tricks in the air i go to the circus. What i like about mtb is overcoming natural stuff. I know i'm not the only one, and i hope bigger jumps and man made stuff isn't the way most DH'ers want to go :(

    • @jeffminnich3291
      @jeffminnich3291 29 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      I guess I agree. I do like to see the big jumps but favor natural terrain best. A trail should be made to connect cool natural features. I rode Lower Hair Ball at Snowshoe last weekend in the slimy rocks. Those types of trails are great to see the pro's ride, it's humbling.

    Good to hear a bike manufacturer is looking out for their athletes 🤙🤙
    DH ratings are down due to the coverage not the size of the jumps. #RedBull is the king of coverage and knows how to market an event.

    • @FireLysm
      @FireLysm 29 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      No, coverage is OK, we just don't want to support UCI and greedy Discovery and we are voting with our refusal of watching the UCI DH. But we all watch DH riders on their dedicated yt channels and we get all DH updates through there. #RedBull cares for the sport, Discovery doesn't (zero passion).
