- When Kabuto began collecting the DNA of the deceased heroes of the shinobi world, I had one question in mind: Where are Sakumo and Jiraiya, and who remembers Daimaru? No, today I'm talking about Sakumo Hatake, who was the one who recognized Gaia's will and gave us the sweetest friendship between a genius and the power of youth. As you know, when Sakumo killed himself after being bullied by the villagers, he was thrown into purgatory because of his guilt over Kakashi.

I could see it being both an amazing and emotional fight. Obviously Kakashi would be more emotional for the majority of it but come on, it’s Kakashi, he’s gonna get his rear in gear and understand what he has to do at some point.

@Jake Hamon I actually don't think he could. Since the 8th gate destroys the heart and basically causes you to turn to ash. It's the same reason Sakura would not be able to learn to use the 8 gates. As there's the theory she could just use her seal of 100 to out heal the 8th gates death effect. She would still die. As the 8th gate causes the body to literally burn to ash.

@@supernsea3631 Just because someone is a Sannin, or trained by one doesn't mean they're undefeatable, see reading shit like this it's why Anime communities sometimes can be toxic cause you aren't looking at both sides from an objective standpoint, it was already stated in the Naruto official Data book, that Sasori took out high ranking Anbu Black Ops ninjas, and some who were exclusively trained by a Legendary Sannin, so your response in defense to Sakumo was already debunked, so what about the Third Kazekage Sasori defeated at such a young age, you do understand, that the Third Kazekage was already considered the most skilled shinobi of their time, and their strongest Kazekage which is context comparable to a Sannin as the Hidden Leaf exclusively calls their most skilled shinobi a Legendary Sannin. This same logic applies to every nation. Hokage, Kazekage, Mizukage, Raikage, Tsuchikage, and so on. Do your research instead of being a biased fanboy.

Kakashi's dad is a hokage without being one look at his jordan sleeve drip it reminds me of how ichigo's dad had his captain cape up under his arm band.

I like to think the in universe reason Sakumo wouldnt be usable is because he let go of his attachments. We saw many of the reanimations released themselves when achieving similar states.

He was contender for the 4th alongside Minato and Fugaku, both of which are stronger than the Sannin, so he’s likely stronger than them.

@@bullet5760 his candidacy for Hokage, alongside Minato and Sakumo. None of the Sannin were considered except for Orochimaru who was only considered by Danzo due to Danzo wanting to use Orochimaru for his plans. Fugaku was considered a rare genius on par with Minato during their lifetimes(granted Fugaku was much older, so Minato would probably outgrow him if he had survived Obito’s assault, as he hadn’t even perfected the Rasengan yet. I believe Minato was only 24 and Fugaku was like 40), and was just as feared and respected with the same “run on sight” status as Minato during the third Great War. His Genjutsu alone was ridiculous, he was feared for that alone which is how he got the name Wicked Eye Fugaku. And if you consider the anime canon, he also has access to MS, so he has the ability to control the nine tails just like Obito, turning any battle in his favor with enough prep time.

For someone as powerful as Kabuto to give a weak excuse like "Jiraiya's body was too deep in the lake" is just bullshit. He's got so many jutsu under his belt and he cannot even retrieve one body in the lake.

I understand the reason why Kishimoto didnt reanimate Sakumo, though watching Kakashi and Sakumo fight side by side like Naruto and Minato would have been so satisfying.

@@mochi3209itachi didn't know how to break the edo tensei contract. The kotoamatsukami was just a coincidence and a contingency he planted in naruto to react to his mangekyou. He knew Sasuke would get his eyes and awaken eternal mangekyou sharingan and when he activates eternal mangekyou sharingan and use it against naruto (who would be defending the leaf village), shisui's eyes will react to it and the crow will emerge and use kotoamatsukami on Sasuke and put him in genjutsu to protect the leaf village.
It was a coincidence that he was revived and was forced to fight naruto and, obviously the shisui's sharingan will react to his mangekyou and relieve him from the bond of edo tensei by overwriting it with kotoamatsukami genjutsu.

Because u hear him say smt about the consequences of the mangekyou during the fight at the 5 kage summit and he had the same eyes there as he did once he got itachis eyes.
@@mochi3209 he got eternal mangekyou after he killed danzo (that’s when he got the eye transplant) so it’s after the summit he was about to go blind during the fight with naruto/kakashi/Sakura immediately after the danzo fight because of overusing the normal mangekyou so if he didn’t get eternal his eyes wouldn’t have lasted till the end of the series

@@FurgusFungus the gaiden chapters for Kakashi. He was so feared that just the idea of Kakashi being him despite being a kid scared the stone ninja at first. And this is after he had already killed himself. Sakumo was likely on par with the power of Hanzo in his prime if not a bit stronger.

If they had resurrected Jiraiya the impact would have been devastating to Naruto forcing Naruto to face him and fight him With Jiraya praising him for not only completing his fathers jutsu and doing what he himself couldn't mastering Sage mode telling him how proud he was of how strong he got then asking him for one more sparing match as a way to convince Naruto to do what had to be done and defeat him.

Shouldn't have too. I mean there are all of the many light novels that should just be animated imo. I loved the Sasuke, Sakura and Gaara ones. Also the Akatsuki one is super god too. They're all canon also. So shouldn't be any reason to not have them animated as part of a spin off series. Call it Naruto chronicles or Naruto Gaiden or something.

If Sakumo, Jiraiya and Shisui were reanimated, they would have to seriously nerf them to maintain the plot which I believe would have ruined the war arc.

So the reason why Kabuto didn't revive Jiraiya during the 4th Great Shinobi War was simply because he couldn't find Jiraiya's body. Not that he didn't know where the body was, Kabuto just couldn't get his hands on Jiraiya's corpse. After all, Jiraiya's lifeless body is in the bottom of the ocean right now.

Jiraya couldn’t be resurrected because his body was so far down in the ocean nobody could go and get it .. therefore jiraya chance of being reanimated was over
We couldve gotten some prequel series and side stories of some naruto characters... instead they gave us the unimportant story that ruined the legacy called BORUTO

They should do series before naruto
Summoning Jiraiya wouldn't have ruined his legacy if they did it properly. Could've made Jiraiya and Naruto fight where Jiraiya comes within inches of killing Naruto but breaks the Edo Tensei at the last moment to give Naruto an opening to destroy his Edo Tensei form. Telling Naruto how proud he's become of him one last time. It could've been used as a trigger to send Naruto into a berserk state releasing an insane amount of Kurama's chakra for some wicked attacks against Obito and Madaara. Alot of missed opportunities with this show.
I don’t get where you get the “stronger than many Sanin” from and why you repeated it so many times. He was said to be on their level.
I mean ofc it is better to not revive Jiraiya and Sakumo to not ruin the cahracter. But reviving Asuma was okay? But not having an inner world reason kinda stinks. Like i see why KISHIMOTO did not want to but why hasnt Kabuto done it? If he would have said he couldn get the DNA in time or so it would make more sense.
The reason that Kabuto has revived enough characters is kinda true BUT Kabuto only revived strong special Shinobi. So why even consider Dan or Temaris first love. They seem so out of place...
