I have a granddaughter who the doctors told her mom while she was pregnant that the child did not have a brain and the head was twice the size it was supposed to be. Back in the 90's on our way from South Carolina to Milwaukee for the HD 95th anniversary, we spent one evening in Nashville down on Music Row. Yes it was crowded about like New Orleans or Daytona Bike week. Like you , I can only take so much of the crowd and loud music. But worth it to see the place.

That Western Star (almost thought it was an International when it went by) was pretty wicked! I'm more into Kenworths, Peterbilts, and Macks, but Western Stars are my forth favorite. I was paying a little more attention that military convoy you passed by with the Humvees and trucks, but that was also entertaining listening to your conversation with your friends in the Western Star on the CB. The Nashville story was also interesting. Never been there myself, though I have an aunt and uncle who live in Chattanooga and own a B&B. Yeah, some downtown places can get packed, especially when they have festivities going on. Reminds me of how downtown Richmond can sometimes get when they have stuff going on. And same, even before COVID, I'm not the kind of guy who likes to get packed too close to other people.
Also, did you visit the Country Music Hall of Fame when you were there? Besides railroads, that's one spot I'd love to hit if I went to Nashville. (This is still RichmondCityRailfan, I just logged into my other account (which also has an anime icon, cuz I love anime)).
Just wanted to send a prayer your way for not only your dad but for you and your family as well. I can totally relate to what's going on in your life right now. After serving in the military for a number of years I got out and became a OTR Truck Driver, and did that for 16.5 yrs until health issues set in and ended that career. I'm a survivor of multiple heart attacks, 2 strokes, and beat Liver Cancer twice, so I guess you can say my body has taken a lickin but I just keep on ticking. Not being the type to just lay down and give up I now and have for the past 18 years been rescuing and rehabilitating dogs and cats (mostly those with behavioural issues) and insuring they get the second chance in life they both need and deserve. You and Opie take good care , and stay safe !!! God Bless !!!

Found out i had prostate cancer when i was 62 i am now 71 They took 10 samples from my prostate 8 were cancerous they put me on a course of radiotherapy and have hormone injections. It will get me one day but at the moment all i miss is full nights sleep without going to the loo LOL. Lots worse things happen. Stay safe Great vid and look after poor Opie

Schmidt will keep on praying for your dad and my dad went through radiation therapy and chemotherap my dad was 89 years old and he was two months away from his birthday but you tell your dad to keep on living living is the reason why we are here on earth is to keep living as long as we all can you tell him you love him he might not like it but tell him how you feel and I will pray for him and your family and his family as well schmidt health check ups are good and screening are good that's how people stay healthy but you ever get a chance walk around the truck for 10 to 15 minutes when pull off at a rest stop and I do care about truck drivers and there health and that truck sounds good going through that tunnel schmidt you take care and stay safe and stay healthy and just keep the faith and that goes along ways when you have faith and will catch you on the turn around

Schmidt will keep on praying for your dad and my dad went through radiation therapy and chemotherap my dad was 89 years old and he was two months away from his birthday but you tell your dad to keep on living living is the reason why we are here on earth is to keep living as long as we all can you tell him you love him he might not like it but tell him how you feel and I will pray for him and your family and his family as well schmidt health check ups are good and screening are good that's how people stay healthy but you ever get a chance walk around the truck for 10 to 15 minutes when pull off at a rest stop and I do care about truck drivers and there health and that truck sounds good going through that tunnel schmidt you take care and stay safe and stay healthy and just keep the faith and that goes along ways when you have faith and will catch you on the turn around
