I used to have hemophobia, the extreme fear of blood, which I got over by exposing myself to non-physical blood (photos, gore, etc), so the psychology definitely works out. But vampires freaking terrify me because of my OTHER phobia.

I was terrified of vampires as a kid lmao, but I love the snake. I remember being on a biology trip in a field, catching bugs in nets, and my friend caught a garter snake! All the girls and half the guys screamed and ran off, while he and I just played with the cute little snek, then let it go. Worth it!
I love the coloring of the pillows so much- it makes me feel like the kid is on a fluffy pillow sea monster, traveling the world, writing down stories and writing to their parents.

Actually, there are very few species in Australia that will attack you. If you leave them alone they are usually pretty chill. Just sweep them out ya house and they still be fine with it.
@Peri Uluırmak it's not a trend, Australia has legit loads of spidrs, because of the hot weather, people sweat and thus attracts flies, spiders like flies. They everywhere. Went to take a poo and scares the shit out of me was a massive huntsman spider
I'm scared of spiders as well, but I was also raised with the "Never kill spiders, they are harmless to you and they kill the bugs you really don't want." mindset. I also later found out that they are fluffy and basically have toe-beans and my fear just lessened a bit after that.
in all honesty as someone who owns a snake it breaks my heart that they're so commonly feared - my boy is the sweetest thing alive and wouldn't hurt a soul, but still i get remarks like "the only good snake is a dead one" and "you must like abusing mice" more often than you'd think :( legit an ex-friend of mine, when i first showed her a picture of him when i just got him (he was a very small baby then mind you) the first thing she said was "you should kill it" with the most disgusted face she could pull. you can see why she isn't a friend anymore but yeah, seriously arlo's helped me through so much in life and he isn't even 3 yet - he's honestly the best thing that's ever happened to me and i'm so grateful we get to spend our lives together
I don't think snakes should be this hated either, it's heartbreaking to me that your ex-friend said "you should kill it" and other people would say that snakes are better when they're dead and that stuff, i have seen people hold snakes on their necks for long times and nothing happened to them, and people think they deserve things like this? tbh snakes are some of the cutest things i know about :]
6:07 I used to stay up past my bedtime, sometimes even until dawn, reading a book! I'd either read under my covers (head completely covered) so my flashlight couldn't be seen by my parents, or inside my closet. It has sliding doors, and because I was smaller, I could fit under the very bottom shelf where shoes could typically be stored. I read in there only with the door a bit cracked so I could breathe and so I wouldn't overheat. I also used to be terrified of monsters like vampires and Bloody Mary (thanks to the middle-school kids who told me she was following me, and thanks to reading too many Goosebumps books even though I was and still am a HUGE scaredy-cat). So, to protect myself from being kidnapped or eaten in my sleep, I slept on my back, with my legs crossed and arms under my torso, with my blanket completely covering me, head included... and my night-light, of course. I was drenched in sweat all the time until I outgrew this, but I went on like that for years until I told my mom that the kids at school were bullying me and scaring me. Reading at night was one of the ways I calmed my fears enough to fall asleep, or pass the time when I had too many nightmares to sleep.

Storytime: So my sister is really scared of bugs, Mostly cockroaches. One night we found a HuGe one is our kitchen and my sister screamed. I asked why she was so afraid of them and she said they were too ugly. I told her would I made it cute just throw some glitter on it and then you'll like it. soon or later I caught it threw some pink and purple glitter on it and showed it to my sister. She killed it. Violently.

im really scared of blood, whenever i see it i just get so sick. when i got my blood drawn i fainted and was unconscious for quite a while, but i do totally agree that the idea of a vampire doctor is absolutely adorable and it really has helped me with my phobia. Thank you!
Same here. I actually fainted when I was in forth grade (even I I was a long time ago) learning about periods and just seeing illustrations and listening someone talking about blood (I am still like that ) . I don't like doctors so other then being satisfied by watching amazing art and realising that my fear is actually phobia I don't know if it helped me. But it's comforting knowing that I am not the only one with strange fear of blood.

I have to sit out of a lot of biology as it started when I fainted when we dissected a heart but now it’s triggered by the smallest things like learning about veins and arteries and stuff. My vision and hearing always start to go funny and apparently I go green. My last attack was when I had a sharp pain in my finger during science, I overreacted about what it might be and had a panic attack. Maybe for me it’s just a fear of potential pain.
I FEEL. In 6th grade I literally saw the trail of a nose bleed and got so nauseous and dizzy. I didn't actually see it happen but saw the aftermath. And like I guess it's not just blood for me, it's anything medical so I get superrr squeamish when talking about blood being drawn, surgeries, etc. I also was incapable of dissecting frogs for class and failed that portion of science every time. 😰 The smell would always get to me and I'd have to leave the room before we even started.

I was lucky I didn't see the blood but I almost fainted from the knowledge that there was a lot of blood. The same classmate he has often nosebleeds and everytime I almost faint. At least my class stopped making fun of me and there are some understanding people who help me if something like that happens. I am the same. I hate medical stuff. The one time I got my blood drawn from my finger I passed out and that was long time ago but I am still afraid. And everytime someone talks about self harm I feel really uncomfortable and start to get dizzy just of the image in my mind of someone cutting themselves.

I'm not scared of blood itself, but I'm scared of needles, blood being drawn, veins, etc. Basically things inside your body, mostly veins or blood stuff. Whenever we talked about body science in school, I would get dizzy and sick.
I think you did a really good job of taming these phobias and making them seem less scary! Also, if you ever wanted to make a sequel to this, I think fear of the dark might be an interesting one to tackle, along with fear of highta or of being alone. Maybe water, too! Thx!
@Olive I'm personally not that scared of spiders, though I know that a cat sized one would freak me out if it randomly started smashing through the window and barreling towards me. Though it still can't vanish very well, I'll always know where it is. and also I have a cat who can kill it if it's hostile, so that helps.
"People with bloodphobia can faint from just a simple blood draw-" So fun story. When I got my blood drawn, I ended up fainting. My body had started to jerk, so they called the ambulance. Once I got to the hospital, the put an IV in me. Once I looked at the IV I actually went into shock. In case you don't know what shock is, it feels like your dying. You turn extremely pale, your blood literally goes cold, you feel like your going to throw your guts up, and your on the verge of just passing out. What's even worse, is if i weren't already in the hospital, there is a chance I could've died. Long story short, as silly as phobia's may seem, please take them very seriously. If someone you know has a phobia, don't be that jerk that goes and scares them on purpose. That silly little scare can have very serious consequences.
I faint when I see blood, too. If it's just a scratch I only feal dizzy but as soon as it's deep enough that blood starts flowing or dripping out I feel like vomiting and if I don't look away I faint. This is extremely difficult when I accidentaly cut or hurt myself. One time I was alone and cut my finger pretty deep while cooking and I had to lay down every few steps on my way to get a bandage.. So yeah phobias can be really dangerous
7:48 Have you had your tonsils removed? Even though tonsils are supposed to support the immune system, overtime they can sometimes weaken your immune system. (I learned this the hard way.) I recommend getting them removed, even if you're not having any sore throats or anything.
Spiders generally don't hunt like that. They make their web (Which is excruciatingly tedious for them) and they sit and wait. The spiders that do chase their prey can't even run for very long before they have to stop. A cat sized spider would most likely be the web spinning kind. Which is great if you like hammocks. Just put a blanket on it first.
But spiders are fuzzy so you could pet it all day! And what if they were soooooooo cute! and not a blood sucking poisonous creature...? Heh...heheheh... I'm scared now
As someone germaphobic, your picture actually made me realize when exactly I developed the disorder! I was a young kid, probably 5 or 6 at the oldest, and my step-sister threw some mud on my arm while we were out playing after it rained. The feeling was so gross and icky, and the mud looked almost like poop, so I just started screaming and crying immediately and years later I now have chronic "burns" on my hands from washing them too much. Edit: I realized my comment comes off really dark and abrumpt, so I wanted to add on some positive notes! I'm actually doing a lot better with my disorder than I did during my early college years, and I found out doing things such as gardening to help with my generalized issues with it! I'd scrub really good afterwards, but I could cope with my hands being dirty while working at least. The important thing for me is delaying hand-washing, as I tend to keep cycling back to it as I start a task, wash, work on task and get dirty, wash, continue task and dirty again, wash, think about snacking, wash, take a snack break, wash after snack break, realize I'm about to work, wash hands again, work, etc. in a bit ordeal. If I can at least work on tasks for a bit of time then I can at least cut down on how much a certain degree.
As somebody who is afraid of spiders and has no reason to being that I don't live in Australia I think you made the spider one really cute! If spiders look like that I would totally want one!

I've had Arachnophobia pretty much my entire life and it started back when I was not even in school-- it was Daycare. There was a shed where we kept our school's junk or whatever and it didn't come up all the way to the fence so there was a gap where specifically 4 year olds could fit through... As you can imagine there were also spiders that could fit through the gap. So me and my reckless friends would go exploring "the depths of the secret gap" and, for some reason nasty bugs really liked to pick on us. So one day we went back there and saw a nest of black widows, and decided it would be a good idea to go back there and destroy the nest. Long story short, we ended up almost getting bitten by an army of black widows and we all got cursed with very bad Arachnophobia. :)

This was me during a school trip. I was the only non-boy on the trip so I had my own room/hut to myself. It was in the indian country side so bugs were to be expected. I counted 21 spiders in total in my room. After finishing counting I very loudly announced to them that I would leave them be if they don't bother me and eat the monstrous dengue carrying mosquitos. With the exception of a spider chilling on the toilet flush lever that scared me, They kept to themselves and I didn't have any mosquitos bother me during the night the whole week I was there.
I almost thought " Hey that's cute, I wish I had that as a pet" and then I remembered last time I saw a spider I wouldn't want to come down from my chair for ten minutes.

My biggest fear is not being able to scream. All my life I have been known for my horror movie scream. Its high pitch, shrill, loud, and ear splitting, so I know that anyone would hear me if I screamed. But in horror novels and stories, a character will often be described as unable to move or scream when confronted by the monster, and that's terrifying. I hate when I'm so sick I can barely move and being petrified with fear is a scary thought.

Well I'll help you out a bit... Bees don't really care about you, as long as you don't mess with them. Trust me I used to be deadly afraid of bees. Now wasps? Ummm can't help ya there they're jerks... just stay away from them or have spray on you.
Sun :3 I had a simular nightmare when I was little,but it was one giant wasp trying to sting me(with posion driping out of the stinger).I woke up in tears and then I ran up to my wardrobe to look behind it...(I have no idea why🤔)
finally someone that gets it! Snakes are so cute with those puppy like mouth, it reminds me of a puppy. They got this puppy energy that I love! And when its warm they can be a little cold which makes them amazing for cuddling.

6:07 I used to stay up past my bedtime, sometimes even until dawn, reading a book! I'd either read under my covers (head completely covered) so my flashlight couldn't be seen by my parents, or inside my closet. It has sliding doors, and because I was smaller, I could fit under the very bottom shelf where shoes could typically be stored. I read in there only with the door a bit cracked so I could breathe and so I wouldn't overheat. I also used to be terrified of monsters like vampires and Bloody Mary (thanks to the middle-school kids who told me she was following me, and thanks to reading too many Goosebumps books even though I was and still am a HUGE scaredy-cat). So, to protect myself from being kidnapped or eaten in my sleep, I slept on my back, with my legs crossed and arms under my torso, with my blanket completely covering me, head included... and my night-light, of course. I was drenched in sweat all the time until I outgrew this, but I went on like that for years until I told my mom that the kids at school were bullying me and scaring me. Reading at night was one of the ways I calmed my fears enough to fall asleep, or pass the time when I had too many nightmares to sleep.

Same here. I actually fainted when I was in forth grade (even I I was a long time ago) learning about periods and just seeing illustrations and listening someone talking about blood (I am still like that ) . I don't like doctors so other then being satisfied by watching amazing art and realising that my fear is actually phobia I don't know if it helped me. But it's comforting knowing that I am not the only one with strange fear of blood.

My last attack was when I had a sharp pain in my finger during science, I overreacted about what it might be and had a panic attack. Maybe for me it’s just a fear of potential pain.
I FEEL. In 6th grade I literally saw the trail of a nose bleed and got so nauseous and dizzy. I didn't actually see it happen but saw the aftermath. And like I guess it's not just blood for me, it's anything medical so I get superrr squeamish when talking about blood being drawn, surgeries, etc.
I also was incapable of dissecting frogs for class and failed that portion of science every time. 😰 The smell would always get to me and I'd have to leave the room before we even started.

I was lucky I didn't see the blood but I almost fainted from the knowledge that there was a lot of blood. The same classmate he has often nosebleeds and everytime I almost faint. At least my class stopped making fun of me and there are some understanding people who help me if something like that happens. I am the same. I hate medical stuff. The one time I got my blood drawn from my finger I passed out and that was long time ago but I am still afraid.
And everytime someone talks about self harm I feel really uncomfortable and start to get dizzy just of the image in my mind of someone cutting themselves.

So fun story. When I got my blood drawn, I ended up fainting. My body had started to jerk, so they called the ambulance. Once I got to the hospital, the put an IV in me. Once I looked at the IV I actually went into shock. In case you don't know what shock is, it feels like your dying. You turn extremely pale, your blood literally goes cold, you feel like your going to throw your guts up, and your on the verge of just passing out. What's even worse, is if i weren't already in the hospital, there is a chance I could've died.
Long story short, as silly as phobia's may seem, please take them very seriously. If someone you know has a phobia, don't be that jerk that goes and scares them on purpose. That silly little scare can have very serious consequences.
My father always teased me by pretending he was going to throw up. And I have emetophobia (afraid of vomit or throwing up)😓

I faint when I see blood, too. If it's just a scratch I only feal dizzy but as soon as it's deep enough that blood starts flowing or dripping out I feel like vomiting and if I don't look away I faint. This is extremely difficult when I accidentaly cut or hurt myself. One time I was alone and cut my finger pretty deep while cooking and I had to lay down every few steps on my way to get a bandage.. So yeah phobias can be really dangerous

Spiders generally don't hunt like that. They make their web (Which is excruciatingly tedious for them) and they sit and wait. The spiders that do chase their prey can't even run for very long before they have to stop. A cat sized spider would most likely be the web spinning kind. Which is great if you like hammocks. Just put a blanket on it first.

As someone germaphobic, your picture actually made me realize when exactly I developed the disorder! I was a young kid, probably 5 or 6 at the oldest, and my step-sister threw some mud on my arm while we were out playing after it rained. The feeling was so gross and icky, and the mud looked almost like poop, so I just started screaming and crying immediately and years later I now have chronic "burns" on my hands from washing them too much.
Edit: I realized my comment comes off really dark and abrumpt, so I wanted to add on some positive notes! I'm actually doing a lot better with my disorder than I did during my early college years, and I found out doing things such as gardening to help with my generalized issues with it! I'd scrub really good afterwards, but I could cope with my hands being dirty while working at least. The important thing for me is delaying hand-washing, as I tend to keep cycling back to it as I start a task, wash, work on task and get dirty, wash, continue task and dirty again, wash, think about snacking, wash, take a snack break, wash after snack break, realize I'm about to work, wash hands again, work, etc. in a bit ordeal. If I can at least work on tasks for a bit of time then I can at least cut down on how much a certain degree.

I've had Arachnophobia pretty much my entire life and it started back when I was not even in school-- it was Daycare. There was a shed where we kept our school's junk or whatever and it didn't come up all the way to the fence so there was a gap where specifically 4 year olds could fit through... As you can imagine there were also spiders that could fit through the gap. So me and my reckless friends would go exploring "the depths of the secret gap" and, for some reason nasty bugs really liked to pick on us. So one day we went back there and saw a nest of black widows, and decided it would be a good idea to go back there and destroy the nest. Long story short, we ended up almost getting bitten by an army of black widows and we all got cursed with very bad Arachnophobia. :)

This was me during a school trip. I was the only non-boy on the trip so I had my own room/hut to myself. It was in the indian country side so bugs were to be expected. I counted 21 spiders in total in my room.
After finishing counting I very loudly announced to them that I would leave them be if they don't bother me and eat the monstrous dengue carrying mosquitos.
With the exception of a spider chilling on the toilet flush lever that scared me, They kept to themselves and I didn't have any mosquitos bother me during the night the whole week I was there.

I only fear the dark when I feel alone. I’m very happy that my brother stays up late so if I get scared I have someone to talk to
My biggest fear is not being able to scream. All my life I have been known for my horror movie scream. Its high pitch, shrill, loud, and ear splitting, so I know that anyone would hear me if I screamed. But in horror novels and stories, a character will often be described as unable to move or scream when confronted by the monster, and that's terrifying. I hate when I'm so sick I can barely move and being petrified with fear is a scary thought.
Please never scream around me unless you must, I BEG YOU :( (I have a fear of loud noises)
In general, I LOVE snakes. I think they're adorable... and now...she's made 'em cuter for me! 🥰

P.S:I used to have aracnophobia,but over the years it got replaced by Melissophobia(fear of bees;I'm slowly starting to get over this one) and Spheksophobia(fear of wasps).
Well I'll help you out a bit... Bees don't really care about you, as long as you don't mess with them. Trust me I used to be deadly afraid of bees.
Now wasps? Ummm can't help ya there they're jerks... just stay away from them or have spray on you.

Sun :3 I had a simular nightmare when I was little,but it was one giant wasp trying to sting me(with posion driping out of the stinger).I woke up in tears and then I ran up to my wardrobe to look behind it...(I have no idea why🤔)

finally someone that gets it! Snakes are so cute with those puppy like mouth, it reminds me of a puppy. They got this puppy energy that I love! And when its warm they can be a little cold which makes them amazing for cuddling.
