Well. . . That is true, but the question is how many of those would she have survived had she only taken 1 or 2? It's like when the Shoho was sunk. I think the pilots were still planting bombs into it when it was half underwater!
Both are very cool, though personally I never thought the Yamato class had the same aesthetic grace as the other IJN ships. I started Musashi, but still haven't finished. . .
That's cool! My buddy got Noshiro, but I don't think he's built her yet. I've built quite a few of these waterline kits and always wanted to get into the war games.
Professor, excellent build, someday I will have to mix variety from strictly aircraft. I haven't seen your videos for a while - last I recall you were heading to a show in Reno. I suspect your guard dogs are still protecting that wood? Plus the " shield " in the background is new. I guess I need to check my settings on this antique tablet to be sure I don't miss any videos. Cheers for now.
Haha! What's was it I heard so many times in high school. . . "It's not you it's me"! The truth is I haven't been posting many videos. I had a very busy semester, my computer died, and as you noticed, I started up on a few other hobbies. Maybe I'll do a video about the shield. I've been sticking to scale models on this channel, but maybe I'll show some of the other silly things I do too.
Nice! You ought to get that one. If it's got a dedicated PE set, that's a big help. Toms is better than nothing, but the instructions for me are hard to get through, and I have a lot of trouble with which ships ought to get what. @@michaelbenjmitchell1
Both dramatic and melodramatic rebounding between the two. Very good Professor!
Thank you!
Captain Hara, "Yahagi's" last Skipper would be very impressed with your build.
Thank you! That's one of the best complements I've received. Have you ever read his memoirs?
Also, Yahagi took around 5 or 7 torpedoes before sinking on its last battle, extremely impressive for a light cuiser.

Great video!
Thank you! I thought you especially would like it.
It is that emotional pull at the heartstrings that make your videos such a joy to watch 🙂
Well. . . If war stories don't move your heart, something's wrong! Thank you!
Great model and story.
Thank you!
I want to build my first model ship, either Mogami or Yamato. Personally i like the Mogami more, but the Yamato is such a classic.
Both are very cool, though personally I never thought the Yamato class had the same aesthetic grace as the other IJN ships. I started Musashi, but still haven't finished. . .
A great video, a great story, and a great build. Thanks for sharing
Thank you! I had fun.
Hara's Japanese Destroyer Captain. He was Captain of the Yahagi at the end. We play naval miniatures, I built all ships of the class.

Looks cool.
Thank you!

Don't forget to add ladders to the ship. And Fujimi also has a kit of the Yahagi in 1/700 scale.
Ladders and staircases! Have you built the Fujimi kit?
@@professorbellbuilds not yet. But it is a pretty detailed kit and comes with a pe set.

😮😢😀👍🏼
That sums it up well!
