    Assuming the anatomical position, how is SP 3 inferior (going away from the head) to the metatarsal phalangeal joint when it is going toward the head?

    • @Acuproacademy
      @Acuproacademy  ปีที่แล้ว

      Inferior in this case, means below (closer to the sole of the foot), proximal (closer to the head) to the metatarsal phalangeal joint 🌷 while SP 2 is still inferior to the joint but distal (faraway from the head).

      @Acuproacademy Thank you, I'm both asplenic and (as a result of the major rupture & full abdominal surgery thereafter) have "frozen abdomen" (or massive abdominal adhesions for anyone reading who may not know what that is). My large intestine also deviates now where my actual spleen is missing.
      I'm seeing an acupuncturist for nearly 1 year now. Although not as consistently as I was when I started.
      We always focus on my upper body pain (right upper back, neck, sinus, and ear). It does provide relief but I feel as though I may want to seek a practitioner more like yourself who truly evaluates symptoms along with individual history. Or in other words, the problem isn't necessarily where the symptom erupts. You clearly embody that in your practice!
      Also- you're inspiring someone like me, at 44yrs old, to learn and possibly seek training in the future. I think I'll start with one of your books... should I enroll in professional training, I know it will be a gem of a resource ♡

    Hi Clara! Thanks for your work! You stimulate me to think more))). Perhaps I do not understand everything correctly, because I watch a video with Russian subtitles. I hope the google translator has correctly translated my question.
    It is very interesting to hear information that you can prick Sp1 with heavy bleeding (in particular, menstrual bleeding). I always imagined that the bleeding was the Weakness of the Spleen. And pricking Sp1 will have a laxative effect, draining. In order to strengthen the Spleen, I do indirect cauterization of this point. Tell me, Clara, what technique should I use to prick this point in cases of bleeding? Thanks again!

    • @Acuproacademy
      @Acuproacademy  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You are correct that is there is heavy bleeding it can be the spleen not holding the blood within the blood vessels or it can be due to excess heat. Prick to bleed SP 1 is to stop the acute bleeding. But then you can look at the pattern (SP deficiency or Blood Heat) and treat it accordingly to prevent the bleeding from reoccurring 🙏🥰

      No unfortunately there isn’t as in TCM doesn’t work that way, we treat the person as a whole, not the disorder. What's spleen points can be beneficial for abdominal swelling (ascytis I believe its called?). Am only using general acupressure for my mom who recently has got this n is not eating as feels upset after having anything..even juice..thanks 🙏

      TCM doesn’t work that way, we treat the person as a whole, not the disorder. We look at the tongue, observe the skin, eyes, hair...we take the pulse, ask questions on sleep, digestion, diet, immune system...and then we make a TCM diagnosis and create a treatment plan accordingly 🙏
      But you could try LV 13 & SP 9 🙏

      Gooooood Morning Clara.
      Please can you explain how come accupunture has so many points that it is guzzling to choose.
      Example a person has lung issue as per Tcm there are 11lung points 😫 how to choose which lung point to choose.
      It's same with all the organs.
      Can we chose a single point to treat any patient.
      Except in Auricular Therapy there is only one individual point and we treat that points.
      Please help us to understand.
      🙏🥀🙏

      @@mohamedmuhammad6209 you learn all this is details in acupuncture school. We first do a TCM diagnosis, fo example is someone has Asthma, it can be due to Lung Yin deficiency then we can pick the points to nourish Lung Yin and address the asthma symptoms. 11 lung points have all different functions and applications 🙏

    Clara, just recently discovered your videos. I'm a new acupuncturist and you make review more engaging and ctreamlined. Thank you for your advice and knowledge.
    If you're taking questions I have one for you: what is your stance on tonifying and reducing points? For example, when i think dampness I consider Spleen 9, but would it be best to reduce that point because someone's damp is excessive or tonify the point to 'empower'/'activate' its damp clearing ability?

      Hi Lucky,
      So happy you’re enjoying my online content 🥰 I have a lot more on my website redit e page for you too 🙏
      For dampness and SP 9 I would reduce or clear the dampness with my needling stimulation 💕 hope this helps!
