Very good video! So far all gods with name "Udgard" were children of Demiurge. Which would mean Azgardians are also decestands of Demiurge. I really want Atum to apeer. He was born to save earth from his siblings, so it would make sense for him to show up at some point.
Glad you liked the video. I would be surprised if Atum doesn’t show up since Ewing has clearly read the original Elder god story and is incorporating elements of it
Yes, and no more of Aaron's stupid-sounding All-Power, All-Weapon, All-Sleep, All-This, All-That. Odin is the All-Father. His power is the Odin-Force (or -Power, as I've seen before). He undergoes the OdinSleep. If Thor is now All-Father, then he, too should wield the Thor-Force, and undergo the Thor-Sleep.
@@DavidJohnson-td5icI concur. Gayson Aaron has some talent but I hate tht he started the destruction of ODIN. ODIN should always be a top 10 most powerful character in the entire Marvel cosmos. Odin's Silver Age power levels. Even if it's 7)Galactus 8)ODIN 9)Zeus 10)? But those 3 can't fall lower than tht unless they are "temporarily (un)dead"
My theory is that Utgard-Loki is actually Arawn, the Lord of Annwn. I’m still doing research on this, but that’s my working theory for now. Also, Lukki is in fact the Finnish form of Loki’s name as well
Great Vid Thor Talk, i like the detail of 2 voices in different languages for Utgard-Loki. Seems like gaea is preparing thor for something bigger than the Elder Gods, but what is so big that she is throwing all the Elder Gods at thor just to see if he has a chance?
I’m glad you liked the voices for Utgard-Loki. I wanted to give him a unique one that fit him and that seemed like a good solution. Also no idea what Gaea is planning in full, but we should get a good idea in two weeks
Just pick this up from my local comic shop today. Glad with how its going so far, art is great but now interested in those old Thor comics you showed. What issues were those where Thor met Buri and when they first adapted the old myth?
If you hadn't mentioned it, I would've never noticed that the order of the trials was slightly rearranged, lol. Make no mistake, Ewing writes with purpose. He knew that curveball at the end would make everyone gasp with surprise and anticipation. What's the deal with those two worlds exploding in that final shot, though? Incursions?
Not sure actually. He definitely seems to be able to summon her since I doubt she was just hanging out in Utgardhall and he was able to use the thread of Eternity’s fate. Still I don’t know if Death is under his thumb, is doing a favor for an equal, or is just playing along for her own amusement. I think as the story progresses we’ll get a better understanding of Utgard-Loki’s power level and be better able to understand what happened. Also your English is great so don’t worry about it
I may be seen as blasphemous, because I like the Hulk better than Thor (although I do like Thor) Al Ewing is the best writer in comics. He’s a pro at melding together, old stories, and new concepts.
I get the feeling you have as much respect and affection for Myth!Thor as much as you do Marvel!Thor. I raise my glass to you sir.
It’s true, I love both
They adapted one of my favorite myths so well I love this
Me too
This was enjoyable; imbibing the cool vibes while they last.
For Odin!
For Asgard!!!
Keep it up. Youve got one fo yhe best channels easily
Thank you so much! Still enjoy it more then the comic itself! You give so much more info and back grownd! Odin bless you!
I’m so happy that you enjoyed it and got a lot out of it.

The AllFather ODIN & Gungnir need to be brought back to prominence

Ah the age old debate. Maybe I’ll revisit this one once Ewing has a had a chance to give his Thor a foothold

Thor #272 is the original adaptation of the Utgard-Loki myth and Thor #355 from Walter Simonson’s legendary Thor run is when Thor met Buri
I'd really love to see more Norse stories adapted to comics
Me too
Utgard-Odin is most likely Buri aka Tiwaz

Can you talk about the upcoming thor 5 , or can you post how you would write thor 5
I was considering doing something like that. The initial idea was “Top 10 things I most want to see in Thor 5”, but we’ll see

The worlds could be something big or could just be cool ambience
Do you think udgard Loki can really control mistress death to fight Thor? Or he just ask her for help? (sorry for my bad English)

@ThorTalk thank!.
this story is going to be great. I really want to know how thor gonna beat this guy.

It’s not blasphemy at all and I glad you like Thor. Ewing is indeed great and I think more people will like Thor when they read his run.
So this is in the past?
It is. It’s explained to be a past exploit in the last issue. It happens before Thor was worthy during the Viking Age
