People said they were disappointed that the mv was so simple but for me, it was perfect. It’s simple on the outside but so much thought went into it to make it flow the way it does. It truly matches the sound of impurities and shows off the choreography which is all the song needs in my opinion.. nothing overpowering it but instead complimenting the sound and energy
kpop stans are just so used to the overstaturated music videos
nowadays that they really dont appreciate the older stuff in kpop
anymore . like many times the songs are just ok but the music video is just
so chaotic that sometimes/manytimes song gets overpowered by
the music video . here in this mv however we are able to process the whole
music along with the mv . there is a balance btw the song and the mv .
People that say that just don't know what they are talking about, and don't know a thing about video editing and film making.
I’m not really an expert lmao I don’t even know what i’m talking about but honestly I feel like the MV was perfect for the song, the song doesn’t really have that many changes, it feels very simple and pure, and everything matches with this feeling, I just love how they used the white background and even the members themselves as like a canvas idk the mv just pleases my eyes so much lmao, I love everything about it, the song, the styling, the dance, the editing 😩 god I just love Lesserafim
And also, about the canvas thing, I love the way the members use their voices on this song, it really feels like they’re painting on a canvas giving it different emotions and vibes, like the part before the end with Yunjin, she sings in like this cool tone and the whole thing is filled with bold colors man I just love this lol

FINALLY a reactor that understands why this video is so technically phenomenal. A lot of the other reactors think this is just a B side throwaway.

those reactors are literal reactors this is why i watch reactors who have experienced or know and appreciate the art of kpop/music video/editing/cameraworks
What makes Sakura's center shot also interesting is the lyrics she's singing. "Keep moving like nothing happened" and both of her shots are an exact same copy. It's as if she's luring us into thinking that, "hey, it's okay. Focus on me, not on the glitch. See? Everything is the same." Like how a goddamn witch would do, daaaaaang!
She was so consistent that I never noticed it until PD-nim pointed it out.

@@simpayshenaides that's because the group doesn't have an official center. Some songs/choreos can be sakura center, chaewon center, Yunjin, kazuha etc.

It was obvious that it was a cut and first I was awed at how clean it was, but then the expression caught up with me and I think it's been extra fantastic. The camera has been like another dancer throughout the entire music video.
Impurities being an MV is like the icing on the Le Sserafim cake for the album. I mean the song itself gives me feelings reminiscent to those of listening to classical music, mildly challenging and activating for my brain to listen to but nonetheless beautiful and artistic. The dresses I mean, even though we have seen them many times before, are always iconic and a joy to being put into use. Overall, the album really ends nicely with Impurities I mean just from contrast to Antifragile, you can see the flexibility in style from Le Sserafim so this MV was amazing.
The circling cam part is my favorite too, it looks better in their live showcase stage
And that Sakura part, damn, i didn't notice if you don't talk about it, i thought that part they only change the lighting because i don't see changes in the members (because my eyes focus on center). It made me realize Sakura's dance is always improving :)
Agree, the cameraman "orbiting" Le Sserafim while the members are rotating 360° is really cool...
PD you really helped us noticing these cool editing and directing tricks that we wouldn’t have noticed before, I personally just subconsciously feel like this MV is clean and somewhat cool now that you broke it down everything just makes a lot of sense!

hey same! omg. i naturally felt that the mv was sooo clean and satisfying but of course I don't know the specifics so having pd explain it for us is really great. i also somehow just felt that pd would like this and im glad i was right!
I don’t think people appreciated the kkura transition bc they don’t realize it’s a transition 😱 kkura was way too consistent to be noticed
thanks for acknowledging sakura in this video. some people still diss her for not having started a great dancer but now, she has shown that her dancing is not only very good, but also precise.
izone kkura is not le sserafim kkura. she must have worked super hard to up her skill level this much because she's been slaying

Sakura's improvement in dancing, facial expressions and overall vibe is so dramatic compare to her HKT48 and Izone era damn i'm so proud of her! She is so satisfying to watch now on (the stage and mv)
Im glad pdnim pointed those out. This is what you called "simplicity is the best". Impurities mv proved it. Hybe made the most out of it. You dont need to have the grandest mv to call it magical, sophisticated and the best. The editing skills/ transition, camera angles are what separate this from other mvs.
yeah and imo this kind of style worked so well because their choreo is insanely good, so there's no boring moments

This might be my favourite reaction video by PDnim. Le Sserafim, is really such a breath of fresh air & so unique. I'm so impressed by each members but I must say Kkura really caught my eyes this comeback. She definitely deserves all the hype, appreciation & center post. 💙
Also their team (producers, choreographer, stylists, camera crew etc) deserves all the praise as well. Kudos to the girls and their team.
Impurities is seriously my fave song from the album so I'm really happy they made and MV for it! Crimson Heart is their Webtoon! Some HYBE groups got their own webtoons and songs were made for these webtoons! Blue Flame and Impurities are a part of that project. Oh and Le Sserafim japanese comeback is soon and they're probably gonna make a music video for it.

LE SSERAFIM became my fav kpop group super fast. They are incredible performers, their songs are amazing, love the members and the family bond that they have + they have so many reality shows. They feed Fearnots with content almost every single day and I love them for that.

I said this on my comment on the original video but Sakura is so damn good during that second chorus! Her charisma showed so much paired with amazing dance. I'm telling y'all, no one can center a song or a part like Sakura does. She's born to stand in the middle.
So I started listening to Le Sserafim less than a week ago, they have quickly shot up to my top 3 groups wth and I didn't know anything about the members, as I didn't watch Produce 48, nor did I follow Iz*one, but Ive heard about a certain Sakura that was so popular. When I saw their videos and performances, I assumed she was popular because of how good she is at dancing and her stage presence, and then I saw a video showing her in her P48 days and my jaw dropped, this woman has grown so much, she fooled me into thinking she has been a great dancer for a decade, AT LEAST! They are incredible. Ive been a kpop fan for 13 years or so, and it has been a while since I group shot straight to my top from listening to them for a short time. AMAZING

I remember watched someone edit a video of izone fiesta dance practice chorus 1 and 2 like merged/combine something(?) and sakura is really in sync and consistent like the position, hand, dance detail even her hair in chorus 1 and 2 is all same like one image in video even frame by frame

Watching all the variety-shows/bts-footage/extra content for groups I like is a daunting task, especially when I already have a full roster... so with this year when there's just too many great rookie groups I had to make a decision and just pick one to main stan while just casually enjoying the music of the rest. After 'Impurities' I think that choices was made. After seeing everyone do multiple songs by year's end, I got a better feel and what they all can do. LE SSERAFIM has shown a lot of variety and it's all been quality, plus they've toughed out a huge scandal already. I think they're a safe bet. Sorry KEP1ER, CLASSy, NMIXX, H1-KEY, NewJeans, and IVE, I think my choice has been made. I'll still support the music, but I only have so much time!

I'm also glad you caught that part where there was a cut shot during Kkura's center because not many reactors realized how clean it was done because everyone just thought it was a light switch but it wasn't! Dude, SAME. This video is so deceptively good. Like on a surface level it's very "simple", but they low key did a lot of really cool stuff. So many great match cuts, the lighting choices, the choreo both for the girls and the camera person (the circle shot in particular). This is such a great song/video. I'm glad you were freaking out like i was lol. I'm also into editing, so i was losing it over the edits too.
