    Nice. I just got a 90mm telescope and love it but am anxious now to get a bigger scope. I can just make out the bands of Jupiter, the rings of Saturn, M42 is nice and the moon is glorious. I mounted it on a AltAZ head with micro adjustments (which is fantastic) and video tripod which is very stable actually. I got a few better eye pieces, 2x and 3x Barlows and need to get a better 90-degree diagonal. Plenty left to do with this scope I guess.

    Hey I just got one of these, it's pretty cool, opened the box, assembled it, took it outside at 8:20 this evening. Then aimed it like a riffle at Saturn and got her centered and focused, then put the 10mm in and focused to see Saturn and the rings and the Titan moon all in 10 mins. Right out of the box, I did not have any issues and I have never used a telescope before.😁

    • @astronomywithibrahim4811
      @astronomywithibrahim4811  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Thanks for watching! This telescope is AZ and I have never used an EQ, but I’ve heard from other channels that EQ needs aligning with a bright star. AZ you can freely align with anything by moving it up or sideways. Once you have aligned the EQ Mount, you can auto align it with many celestial objects, but on AZ this is not possible and manual align must be done for all objects. EQ is easier to use but a bit tricky to set up, and AZ is difficult to align and easy to set up. I hope this was a good explanation and answered your question. Please do ask if you have any further questions!

    I hope you read this comment. I think you commented “Can I see surface detail of a planet with this telescope?”, but the comment’s not appearing. Anyway, the answer is depends. You can see the Mercury and Venus’ phases, Moons craters, Mars’ surface details (only at opposition), Jupiter’s moons and faintly the stripes, Saturn’s rings and if you manage to find Uranus or Neptune a small blue dot.

    What is the best eye piece to visualize saturn clearly? With 20mm eye piece it is tiny…

    • @astronomywithibrahim4811
      @astronomywithibrahim4811  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      For this telescope, using a 10mm eyepiece should make it appear larger with a magnification of 100x. If that’s not big enough, use a 6mm. However, the smaller the lens size, the dimmer the object will appear. Hope this helps

      Hi again,
      So to answer your questions:
      1. It is quite tricky to capture and take pictures of DSOs with this telescope but you can try looking at DSOs away from light polluted areas. I’ll probably make a video soon about which ones.
      2. Plants are easily visible, with decent amount of detail especially on the moon, but if you want to take pictures I recommend you buy a cheap planetary camera or use a mobile phone (phone will be quite difficult though).
      3&4. When I first got this telescope, it was the first time a had a proper telescope and I was amazed at what I could see so I think this is a really good beginner telescope. I haven’t used Starsenser but it seems quite good, but has a slightly smaller aperture, but tripod seems more sturdy. I think you should look at reviews and you decide what’s best for you.
      If you have any further questions please don’t hesitate to ask. By the way no inconvenience caused 🙂

    A friend of mine who is less knowledgeable about telescopes than me (and I'm far from an expert) asked me if I could find something better than the one he's currently using, a generic brand ESSLNB 36070 that has a 360mm focal length and 70mm aperture. He wants something that he can at least view the ISS space station with; he's able to discern solar panels with the ESSLNB, but would like something better. Does anyone think this AstroMaster 90AZ would be significantly better than the ESSLNB, not just in capability but also quality? I would imagine that Celestron has better quality equipment, but I don't know as much about telescopes as I wish I did.
