the beauty you perceive is not only due to the harmony of the music, the notes etc, it is the Holy Spirit , and if a chant lacks it, the peace, the joy, the feeling that all is how it should be, it is clear that something's not ok. The Holy presence of God Himself in the singers and His blessing can be clearly felt. The lack of God and the emptiness I felt too in catholic and protestant and all the other writings or churches is incomparable. The sole original unchanged and authentic Church in which the Holy Spirit works since more than 2000 years is the Orthodox Church, and the lots of miracles, the pleasant-smelling and unrotten bodies of the Saints, the Holy Light at Jerusalem, etc are proof of that.

You know, we all travel in this earth on faith, and that's a hard path to travel. This hyme always brings a tear in my eyes. When we pass on, we will pass on faith along, cause no really knows what's on the other side, we're like children afraid of the dark.
