If Brock wasn’t sick and trained at a better gym he would probably be the heavyweight goat. His physique and athleticism was so overwhelming but his skill was lacking. He was also scared of sparring so he didn’t develop his striking to be as great as it could’ve been. Still a great career for what it was but it could’ve been sooo much better.

He makes everything shown incredibly interesting and real simply by presence alone and always whooped ass whether he won or lost. His UFC run definitely helped him out big time and while it’s not perfect, it was amazing for building him up as the biggest badass ever. Truly a GOAT for sports.✊

Hardy was a similar elite level pro athlete who had been an all-pro in the NFL. To be fair to Hardy, though, the technique of heavyweights was significantly better in his era so he had a lot more of a skill gap to make up than Brock did. In Brock's era heavyweights were fairly basic skill wise.
Imagine the OVW 4 class in the attitude era the world wouldn't have survived when all these guys would have competed against Austin Rock Taker HHH etc.
