Btw the method is to apply it on a weapon, then use something like claws to apply it in somebody until they get the reset stats.(use a love potion so you do no damage).

Once you figure out how to fight them, they are not that big of a problem. Just never try killing the npc's without a island close by, because trying to kill all of them on something as small as a boat is suicide(and the loot isnt that worth ending your run for).

It's an extremely rare item, you shouldn't have sold it because you can trade it for way more galleons and rarer items such as Sunkens.
