Did you cut all of your salvias down to the ground now? We have a lot of the Skyscraper pink as well as Rockin' playin' the blues. I can't remember whether I cut mine back in fall or early spring last year, but I believe they all came back for us. We are in the Raleigh area. Thank you for all of your teaching. I have learned so much, especially regarding "leaving the leaves" and building good soil.

What happened to the new shovel that one of your viewers sent you? I’m assuming it’s just not broken in enough and you’re waiting for your old one to completely go. I agree sometimes you can’t replace the old.

We recycle pretty much all plant materials also except for diseased leaves or thorny branches. We also try not to bury the crowns of our plants like you said because it can cause damage and rotting.

Great video.. and was wondering where all the plant tops and spent annuals go… I assume it goes to a compost area… can you show us that area?… maybe you have and I missed it.

What do you do with perennials like Salvia, say hardy to Zone 7, that don't completely die back in the winter?

Hello Jim, question about mulching leaves with lawn mower and putting them back in the garden…. I am worried about bringing fungal disease or some other infection to my soil as many leaves look damaged with changed colors. Is that normal process of yellowing and spending several weeks on the ground? Zone 8b - Virginia Beach

Hey Jim! I lived in Raleigh for 30 yrs. Now in south GA zone 8b. I would love to pay you for just taking a look at my front yard without taking a love tour.
I just send a photo of my long line of green holly shrubs. Would just love to receive your thoughts about how to make it more interesting! Had to spend lots of $$ having pines taken out so finally getting round to finer tuning! Please say yes!😊
