Good video, and good point if you already have the mic adapter hanging around, but for sticking to the helmet and vlogging the media mod is less cumbersome than a case that houses the mic adapter, or alternatively like I do with my hero 5, sticking the adapter to the helmet separately.
The beauty of the cradle is that with one screw I can remove it and put it on a selfie stick or other add a light and shotgun mic for on foot vlogging. Thanks for the comment.
