    I bought one Dolphin standard range (45kWh LFP battery) for 5 months already and drove for 10,000km as a city drive car. If you want TH-cam, Waze, Netflix & etc, just get yourself a carlink kit and plug into the USB port provided, you can have full control of the carlink kit via the main touch screen. I can lock/unlock the car, control the AC via the apps. I've no problem to get 360km from a full charge by driving around 70-90km. Relatively quiet and very comfortable car. The standard stop n go function is perfect for city traffic jam (and I can enjoy TH-cam), it has never failed me. The Automatic Emergency Breaking had helped me twice from an accident. I can turn off all other sound alert or change them to vibrating mode on steering. No rattling sound even after 10K km. Overall I would rate 9.5/10 for a city drive car at this price. The only minus 0.5 is the slightly smaller boot space, but one can fold down the rear seat and the space is massive. I've confident this car will last me 10 years or more, in the event of battery degradation after 8 years, worse I think I still can get 50%, which is 180km, it is more than enough for two days of city drive.

      Hey, thanks for watching and the information! I was apprehensive about applauding the car for its build quality, it’s clearly good but I couldn’t comment on what it would be like after X amount of years and miles etc so that’s helpful. Thanks!

    I also saw this car in Brussels, it is more econimical than Smart for Four, and the drive feeling is also better than MINI cooper

    Great review! I absolutely love mine. If it has the ling longs removed you can get sub 7 and once you get used to the throttle! I have managed 5.8 in the wet cold roads at 5 degree. You just have to practice and practice. I much prefer this over my old cupra Born, mg4 and niro EV. My only negative is the glare from the air vents. I've covered just over 7k.

      Thank you Peter! Good to know people who have lived with it for so long and still enjoy it. It was one of the points I couldn't comment on any of the BYDs I reviewed.

      @@GoksCarLounge I got the Dolphin on Design trim and the amount of tech and kit you get for the money is crazy. The touch screen is pretty sleek as well, where as the MG4 is laggy. Thge only down side i can say is the car is way too safe lol. If you don't want those beep on speeding etc, you have to turned it off every time you get into the car .....
      People bashing BYD is because is a Chinese company and some people just have agenda towards China.

    Very good and entertaining video. It was difficult to tell from the video, but what was the noise like at 70MPH and how would it compare with a small petrol car?

      @GoksCarLounge  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thank you Catherine! Up to 50-60mph it’s very good and yes at 70mph it gets a bit louder but it’s still very respectable. Better than traditional small cars for sure. Thanks for watching :)

      @@GoksCarLounge Many thanks for your answer. I have a 10 year old Nissan Note with the supercharger and am looking for a replacement. Quite a few reviewers mention that there is noise at speed, as long it is no worse than my existing car it will not be a problem and you reassured me on that point.
      Even though I am not particularly green, I don't want the replacement to produce any nasty fumes and think that the BYD Dolphin could be the car to get. Being a retired old git, I am not that bothered about sporty driving and prefer a comfortably ride with driving mostly being within 50 miles of where I live.
      Your review was very good and it considered people with similar requirements to me.

    Hi,I think you can come to China to visit and test the best UV cars ,it can increase your channel's followers by 10 times, but you need to stay for a long time because there are too many electric cars you haven't seen before. But one advantage is that Chinese car dealerships will gather together, and 50 meters away is another brand 😂 We young people don't like BYD,We like NIO,XIAOPENG,LIXIANG,XIAOMI SU7 and many other young brands

    I’m not sure of your relationship with BYD ( Burn Your Drive) but I’ve totally discounted the current EV tech.
    Manufacturers and governments need to do better. Apparently Australia has just declared that EVs are more harmful to the environment than ICE. I’d be inclined to agree. That said, I really enjoy your videos…
    Good job.

    • @GoksCarLounge
      @GoksCarLounge  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Hey Mike, I’m not affiliated with BYD. They wanted me to make videos on them and I agreed. I agree with what you’re saying but I think EVs do have a place in the world. I don’t think we should ALL be driving EVs. They’re not for everyone nor are they the answer to the global issues. I wanted to keep the politics out and just review the cars. Appreciate your time watching and commenting! Thanks mate!

    • @ensteffo
      @ensteffo 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Australia is the country with the highest CO2 per person on earth and them "declaring" something like that doesn't lend any credence to the accuracy of their claim.
      The pollution out of the production and use of ICE versus EV is a scientific question which has already been measured with EV`s contributing (not zero) but substantially less than ICE through their lifetime including production and use.
      As there is actual numerical values to measure its simply not up to anyone to "agree" with it or not just like you cant disagree with the existence of gravity, its just a fact.

    Loved the video.
    Try the same creak test in an A class, you would get a completely different result…🤫🫢
    When it comes to warnings, it was the same with SMART, the software was way too cautious and gave warnings for everything, driving users mad. Thankfully SMART fixed it with a software update, so definitely doable.

      I know, there was a rattle from the airvents of the A Class my Mrs had, I just put a folded a piece of paper to stop it as it was becoming unbearable. If BYD fine tune the software then it will be even more competitive for sure! thanks for watching Eddie!
