I accidentally made a scenecore beat, and I loved the beat so much I’m committed to making it a full song, so now I have to rake through the comments of scenecore playlist vids to try and analyze wtf I have gotten myself into.
Okay for any clarification: scenecore is a subgenre of hyperpop that is inspired by scene and is separate from true scene music and fashion. It incorporates glitchcore, animecore, and alt fashion for visuals. It became popular on social media in the early 2020s as a modern take and revival of scene culture. Hope this helps!!!
gonna voice my opinion since theres a lot of people debating on if this is scene or not, my thought is no it is not scene, and nor does it state to be scene, it states to be SCENECORE which despite the name, it is not exactly scene, sure its similar but the main thing is it borrows a lot of aspects of scene but also has some of its own, the songs in this playlist sounds like it was made to be in sound of scene, but not exactly scene itself therefore spreading into the genre of scenecore, theres a chance everything i've said is not 100% accurate so if im wrong feel free to correct me but this is my opinion ^^

Originally scene music was just like basically BOTDF and it was also called crunkcore. Now, my best definition for scene music is that it is only just an umbrella term at this point for hyperpop songs that aim to reflect on the 2000-2010s subculture of scene and emo. Hence, edgy lyrics due to era of the time. Note the nostalgic music from that era being re-sampled beyond belief. I call these music scenecore just cause I been using that term since I first heard it. My phone it gonna die by Edit: my bad scene music now isn’t real scene music it’s actually called scene revival.
tbh "jengaaaa" makes actual scene music playlists, if you don't like scenecore might look up them better than clicking on the first show ups on "scene playlist", "scenecore playlist"

Originally scene music was just like basically BOTDF and it was also called crunkcore. Now, my best definition for scene music is that it is only just an umbrella term at this point for hyperpop songs that aim to reflect on the 2000-2010s subculture of scene and emo. Hence, edgy lyrics due to era of the time. Note the nostalgic music from that era being re-sampled beyond belief. I call these music scenecore just cause I been using that term since I first heard it. My phone it gonna die by
