We stayed there in 1983, yes 40 years ago, when it was called Tralawny Beach Hotel. The hotel is the same building but the concrete jungle was not there- they had a garden path that led to the beach and the old pool was near the beach. So the rooms are updated but the building is over 40 years old.
Blue Waters 😊 was always the bestttttttt, I heard about the white sands section an didn’t hear a good review but everyone I know took the blue waters section Enjoyed it!!!! enjoyed myself too 😩❤️❤️planning to go back 😌 the room omg is to die for !!! I think u should really try the blue waters and let me tell u they do treat that section differently
Only difference is blue waters has newer rooms. Both resorts share all of the same amenities! I’ve stayed at both several times and love it! White sands rooms are smaller so if you stay there pay for an upgraded room!
Thanks for this review trying to see if I wanna stay at the royalton next month. I stayed at ocean Coral Spring back in February hated the room. Leaking ceiling , fridge barely got cold , chip paint etc. I would say the royalton in Cancun was amazing and from the aesthetic of the rooms in Jamaica that was also better in Cancun. The Blue water side is amazing and has that newer look & feeling but I had no problems at the White sands location, had an issue with the remote which was sorted the same day👍🏾
Very informative video. Everything you stated was true. Me and my family just stayed there and I would give it a 3/5 myself. We had a Presidential suite and there was nothing Presidential about it. The door knobs were broke, the sliding doors were off track, no iron. The entire resort definitely needs an update, the food was just okay, not much of a selection. I would definitely recommend the hibachi restaurant

Please note: Royalton White Sands Montego Bay, An Autograph Collection All-Inclusive Resort will close beginning May 1st - October 31st, 2023 for renovations.
Currently at the Rpyalton Negril & its horrible, I will be doing a nice review on yelp & a TH-cam video like this one. Never again in this place. I'm actually heading to Mobay today to check into White Sands & already feeling 😔. Thanks for the info.
hi Degai I have been to the Royalton at least 20 times and I do agree with everything that you stated, trust me you did not miss anything at the blue waters. my family and I traveled there at least 3 times a year before the pandemic. the food has definitely improved but the grounds have went down a lot. I have also seen the Michael Jackson show many times and you are right its pretty old now. The staff is amazing and I have many friends there. I will be writing on trip adviser as well because we are disappointed with where they are now. The place needs painting, the furniture is old and worn, and I would probably recommend the Hyatt ziva at this point because their service is definitely 5 star. Royalton I love you guys but the place is going downhill, and now I see that im not the only one seeing this>
Stayed at many Royalton’s ..The jungle gives me a vibe lol Chic was my favorite as well but remember they are adults only. We also stayed at Royalton Riviera with the family which was not the same as Chic as far as entertainment.
Very very true! I couldn’t agree more. The Royalton Riviera Cancun was my first introduction the Royalton chain. While I liked it for the family vibe…I ABSOLUTELY LOVED the Chic! There was no real comparison when it came to the entertainment.
That hotel is hood looking. We left and booked Blue Water Royalton next door. My son walked into the new room, and our son said dad you can stay at the Honda room bc we are staying in the Bugatti room 😂😂😂😂

Stayed in the Royalton White Sands a few months ago. I thought it was absolutely terrible. Our room was terrible, our phone also didn’t work, balcony door wouldn’t open. I found the hotel grounds beautiful but quite boring. I didn’t like the fact that the bars closed really early. One thing I will say is I think their food was really good.
Me and my wife went to this hotel we it’s was Name the starfish hotel which started are love of Jamaica we went back in 2018 to the rui negril and 2 times after we are looking to go back for the first time after covid this year
Oh jesus...i booked my niece and her family here...she was not happy about the room...looked like a total dump by the pictures she sent me....i messaged her today and no word back....i think she is pissed at me

not trying to be rude honestly but this is just too drawn out to actually get a understanding of the resort, the irrelevant chatter in between each thing you cover takes away from the actual review, i couldn't make it past the halfway mark, it felt more story telling than a review which is not a bad thing just title the video differently next time

Awe! I’m so sorry to hear that. We were really close to booking the Ocean Coral but we decided to go with the Royalton instead.

I am totally not surprised to hear that but that's super exciting. I think that's really going to change the experience.

All the resort restaurants with exception of the buffet needs air conditioning!!! The teppanyaki restaurant with no a/C is UNBEARABLE. 😏
