Women crave appreciation, being taken care of and told she's beautiful. Men crave respect and gratitude for their actions.
Tell your spouse what you want to see in them "sweetie you're so beautiful, you're such a good mother." For husband's, ladies build their confidence say "whatever you think" if they ask you a question about a way to proceed; look at him when he's speaking, accept gifts from him. We are all in need of khair but in different ways.

    Assalamu alaikum,
personally I think the frankness of your previous intimacy series was very refreshing. Sex is such a taboo amongst Muslims and it’s not something that is talked about with close friends/family or even the local community leaders. So this frankness is never found. Hence why many turn to western sources and pornography to learn about issues around intimacy.
The Prophet SAW conveyed this to us too. I fear this new approach of ‘holier than the Prophet SAW’ will mean you will miss your target audience which is a real shame. The Muslim community needs someone like you who says it like it is, based on your experience of counselling and most is importantly backed up by Quran and Sunnah.

The after birth part is real. A woman body changes so much! And a lot of things won't go back as how they where. But also during pregnancy... If men could feel it maybe they would understand. You are tired, nauseous, disgusted by smells, your stomach hurts, you are bloated, your breasts hurt...you never felt this bad in your life. And then, this gentleman you once loved( but right now just gets on your nerves), starts making moves towards you. In your head you are like "Ya Allah make him leave me alone, I just want to sleep😭😭😭💔".
    Who can relate? Lol

      @arielle-nadyak.camara6460 3 ปีที่แล้ว +34

@@hanzalaomar3234 😂 polygyny is very important for many good reasons but this one...I don't find it so good. It's like: woman feeling sick, not being able to fulfill this right towards her husband= husband taking an other wife to replace her instead of being patient, compassionate and caring. = You are lacking something so I'm going to find it somewhere else ( forgetting that she is in this situation because she is sacrificing her health, her body to bear your child. It feels kind of selfish and it is hurtful)VS Husband being sick, not able to provide for a while= what should the wife do? She cannot have a second husband to replace him...
Personally I would rather have my husband taking an other wife just because he feels like having an other one and he can be responsible and fair to both. Than using this moment of hardship and vulnerability as an excuse to do so. ( It's like non-muslim man cheating on their parner while she is pregnant. This is very low).
      Just my opinion 🤷

If men understood women emotions it would be like :
Wife: Sorry my love, I really feel so bad right now and so tired... As much as I hate to displease you I'm not comfortable to do it right now. Would you forgive me?
Husband: No worry honey, don't be sorry, I understand that you are going through a lot. Can I do something to help? (And maybe he would massage her feet or just cuddle)
After that she would feel so grateful to have this amazing man as her husband. She would make lots of duas for him (don't under estimate the duas of her pregnant lady...) And by this gesture he would have filled her love tank and earned her respect for years. As a result, she would think this way " this husband of mine is so patient, loving and mercyful. Even though he says it is ok, I don't want to disappoint him. Let me make an effort. Ya Allah help me to please husband" ( And she might rest a little and wake up during the night or the next day and give him what he wanted. Both will be happy, pleased and grateful to eachother).
      VS
Husband: So you are denying my right! (Making her feel cheap, like having acces to her body is all that matter. And go to sleep upset so the Angel will curse her. She might give him what he wants because of takwa, but he would have lost a big part of estime in her heart. And women may forgive, but don't forget being hurt and disapointed this way )
      Or
Husband: See why I should go take an other wife...
Wife: then you should not have made me pregnant in the first place if you cannot be patient with it (bla bla, tears, getting emotional etc etc)

@@arielle-nadyak.camara6460 I understand what you're saying. But realize that if the women feels sick/tired/nauseous etc, as you've described. How long will that sickness last? Normally women don't feel that way forever. It's short. They are healthy and ready to make love. If someone has some long persisting sickness, then this is a huge problem where the man might need to consider a second marriage on the basis of his desires not being met and too much fitna around to hold him back. It's not like he's refusing you or replacing you. It's a legitimate concern. If you were a guy you would understand how strong this hunger and urge/craving for intimacy men have. It's heartbreaking if our wives reject and expect a lovey-dovey "oh dont worry" attitude towards intimacy if the wife is sick. He will wait abd be patient for as long as it takes until she is fine. But if this is a weekly life-long reality of the women being too sick and pushing herself to be intimate, then that's a problem for the man. There are women out there literally jumping on men making all sounds of seductive, erotic noises, alluring them, calling them to sex 24/7 and we are here being patient with our wife who is apparently sick and needs to push herself to be intimate with him. (Im talking only if this "sickness" persists for long)
My belief is women during pregnancy might have some problems. But after birth, this is not the case. They have a choice to work out, be healthy and have passion and enthusiasm for intimacy.
The women who give up, and let their body go, and gain weight, and lose interest in intimacy are the real problem because they have chosen fitna for their husbands. (likewise men should also not give up to please the wife)

Brother thank you for this. I work in social work in the Gulf and there are more and more complaints from the sisters that their husbands lost interest after years of marriage and children, irrespective of all the women's efforts (beautification, softness, seduction). Most of the time it has to do with drop of male libido as compared to the female, contrary to conventional understanding. This is not usually addressed by muslim scholars, and the woman is left suffering in silence and often a sense of shame. Stressors for the men are usually work, overdoing or obssessed with the gym, poor nutritional status and hormonal dips, sickness especially metabolic syndrome including obesity, taking wife for granted, lack or breakdown of communication and passive aggressive relationship etc.. please address in your next episode.

    • @shembeliever6095

Another professional observation of the above cases: marriage then becomes a roommate housemate relationship, where Muslim partners are very civil and even good friends but not lovers and often stay together for sake of their growing children. The men is content with his routine and sees intimacy as a chore on top of all the stressors, and the woman decides to sacrifice herself and her needs because of the marriage and the children.

I don't know why the taboo in our communities. Communication needs to be open. My father taught me diddly squat about anything which is wrong. Islamqa doesn't cover everything and it was one embarrassing first night as a result lol! These issues raised in this video can help couples understand their problems. I am very open with my kids about this kind of stuff. Oh and one more thing... Due to insane rent prices all over the world some of us can't afford a place to house our elder parents separately so the wife and her mother in law end up living under the same roof. And some women just can't hack it no matter how nice either of them are. And this effects the mood of the wife a lot and she rejects intimacy as a result. It seems the system these days is just geared towards creating problems between married couples.

There are a lot of women out in the world where the women crave for intimacy from their husband but the husband does not want when the women want. Like your saying with men who come from work stressed out and want the intimacy to relieve their stress from their wife but some women also want this from their husband. In some cases then the husbands does not understand this and can even get defensive or angry due to their wives asking for too much intimacy. It’s a losing battle when it comes to this issue. I think a lot of men have this idea or thought backwards thinking and not actually learning my Islam that it’s not just the men who have this right over a women but also a women having this right over their husband.

Women aren't as shy after their first time. So if they lose interest or dislike their partner and have no fear of Allah they might even commit adultery.

    BROTHERS PLEASE READ!!!!
when you compliment a saying she is beautiful, you should highlight specifically what is beautiful about her. Her eyes, her hair, her cooking, her fashion, her art skills e.c.t.
Also low self esteem is plaguing our sisters, some times she will respond with "You are calling me beautiful because you have to as you are my husband no one else thinks i am"
Firstly you should validate her and say I married you because you are beautiful and i am not saying that for the sake of saying it., secondly you should question why she has the belief about herself and try and get to the root, it could reveal some trauma about her childhood like bullying.
Also lack of intimacy could be linked to hormonal issues. If you notice your wife is one month intimate every day and the next month so cold, it could be due to with hormonal imbalances. Normally a woman should have a pretty consistent pattern of intimacy that repeats every month (normally links to her cycle) . If its all skewed with no external factors, perhaps talk 2 a GP, birth control can help!!!.
Finally mental blockage is a thing. If she is stressed and worried. Calm her down and say encouraging words and validate her feelings. Don't always just jump into the solution. (She probably knows what the solution is)
    Hope this helps!!!

But you aren't talking about the other thing which is that women who are too tired or stressed out can't be forced to, and maybe the hadith isn't probably talking about that type of situation? Just like there's asbab al nuzul, the hadith must have a context. Obviously being in a car they have to go somewhere private together or if she's making dinner she has to turn off the oven or make sure the salad is covered. And then they can even skip the foreplay if she doesn't mind. Physical appearance is part of it but most women are going to deal with normal things like stretchmarks or a scar. Her unwillingness most likely is due to a sickness or anger and women do sometimes have a right to reject if they really are not feeling well. Even psycologically. There is a fatawa in a book for women about this (published by Darusalaam I think). I believe the specific fatwa was from sheikh al Albani.

You have to stimulate a women emotionally and mentally she's not a doll that just takes it. Get to know the psychology of a women before you get married to one 🤦‍♀️ its not that they have a problem with the hadith the problem is YOU. "Academic" he said, OK bro, women are shown to be TWICE AS LIKELY AS MEN to lose interest in their partner.
"Marriage itself tends to make routine what was once transgressive and sexy in ways that especially impacts women, “over familiarising” our spouses in a fashion that we struggle with.’ Meana’s work suggests we women long for and respond to lustful gazes from strangers.
Her findings and other data contradict everything we’re told about women needing intimacy and familiarity to feel sexy."
It is 100% about the men: we simply ARENT PHYSICALLY ATTRACTIVE ENOUGH ON AVERAGE to keep her attention.
Think about it: something haram has to be inherently destructive, or the mu'mineen would suffer nothing by disobeying. If you allow women to work w/ men, to travel alone, to remove hijab, they WILL AND DO cheat because it is in their fitrah. If you want a big house and 6 kids so much that your greed causes you to let your wife work, you will be punished by raising 3 kids that aren't even yours.
All of Gabriel's excuses here are only to preserve the feelings of women because society says they're the innocent, shy, low-libido romantic sex. Only at 14:20 did he admit "you aren't the one."
