This is the best group of The Three Degrees ever assembled, with founding member Fayette Pinkney, lead singer Sheila Ferguson and longest running member Valerie Holiday. They are to me the quintessential Three Degrees 🥰
Did anyone listen to the interview part? she said "we dont smoke on TV because of the affect it could have on children". To take that kind of stand in the 70s where you could literally smoke ANYWHERE?so many gems in the interview These where some VERY educated concious women. I missed the times when artist cared about being an example whether they knew they signed up for the role model job or not!
As much as I loved the Supremes this group of ladies were fantastic and lovely and each woman can sang. RIP Ms Fayette with your soaring soprano. Elegance and class and beautiful bodies. You would think they were part of the Motown family. My favorite lineup of this group.
Original founding member Fayette Pinkney, without whom The Three Degrees probably would not have been. Having said that, this trio of Fayette Pinkney, Sheila Ferguson and Valerie Holiday is the best group of The Three Degrees ever assembled 🥰
What a performance ! The singers , the orchestra , the music , their voice ........ simply amazing ! Thankyou very much THE THREE DEGREES for the download . Thankyou very much THE THREE DEGREES for bringing you music to the world .
I was 15 in 1975 and those gorgeous three degree ladies raised the temperature of a cool Dutch young man by a few degrees……🤟🏼😎🤟🏼 Now, I am just a “ dirty old man” …🥵😎 still love you !!
I just recently discovered the three degrees. They have beautiful voices. I’ve been playing their songs on repeat for weeks now. After seeing this debacle of an interview, by the host, the three women showed their poise, patience and wit. Host:” How does a lady look ?“ There are three beautiful, talented and intelligent ladies sitting right in front of you. So many insulting questions they had to endure.
@372 Of course I can. Sheila Ferguson at 51:28, Valerie Holiday at 18:32 and Fayette Pinkey at 23:44. They all have fantastic voices. But Sheila was/is the leading lady of the Three Degrees. Check out a recent performance from Sheila in Holland th-cam.com/video/Ggppk47U0w8/w-d-xo.html
This was it for me when I was a teen. these chicks were so fine and here they were doing the T,S.O.P Song that was the theme song for Soul train that they collaborated with Barry white on and then they released "when will i see you again " that came out when I was in high school talk about a makeout song. Man those were some good times.
The women of The Three Degrees ARE still very special, because the group is stil performing, including Sheila who is in that 1975 live gig in Oslo. Sheila performs these days with Freddie Pool and Jessie Wagner. This is a clip of a concert last week in Haarlem, The Netherlands, and it was absolutely stunningly good! Enjoy it: th-cam.com/video/zX4Tt9woZpw/w-d-xo.html
To all the Black women out there.... many with amazing voices that would fit this music, don't worry about what people, even "your" people might think, go out and show everyone what you've got!
Son espectaculares...las conocí por el tema: T.S.O.P. (The Sound Of Philadelphia) que es un clásico en la música Disco. Pero después escuché: When Will i see you again, que me gustó mucho! Aquí en México, no se habla de ellas ni se escucha su música... Un día estaba en un centro comercial y en un local de discos encontré un CD llamado: The very Best of The Three Degrees, escuché y conocí otros de sus temas que me gustaron: Cant you see what you re doing to me, here i am, dirty ol man, if and when...etc....
Maravillosas ... Gracias por compartir este concierto. Los músicos son muy buenos. Las coreografías son 5 estrellas. Y el público admira con respeto al grupo.
The audiences at shows like this were always like this. I watched an old Jackson 5 performance set up like this and the crowd was dry there too. Michael even tried going out in the crowd to hype them up. Didn't really work lol
Why would he ask what does a Lady look like? When she said smoking in public doesn't look very ladylike. She IS a Lady sitting right before you sir, he is very condescending.
I cant believe Im able to see this entire concert in 2024! I love The Three Degrees.
This is the best group of The Three Degrees ever assembled, with founding member Fayette Pinkney, lead singer Sheila Ferguson and longest running member Valerie Holiday. They are to me the quintessential Three Degrees 🥰
And the quintessential female group that should have had so much more commercial success.
Faye's unmatched Soprano and beauty as all three are gorgeous. The best female group of the 70's, The Three Degrees
Fayette RIP.

I don't understand why this group didn't become bigger in the States. They were just as good as any of the other female groups of that era.
That was a good Question I was Wondering the same thing

This amazing performance. All the composing and artistry. The phenomenal voices, the Harmony ...etc. You just don't see this great music anymore
The best female harmonies ever!

Thats where the music came from.
Standing Ovation If and when My Lord WOW !!!
If in France or Italy or Spain, they’d be up dancing and shouting an ovation!
I still can’t believe this song didn’t even chart, should have been a #1 single! Wow❤
The vocals and harmonizing on If and When is absolutely beautiful now and forever ❤
The audience wasn't bored. They were captivated by the performance of "when will I see you again."

Sheila Ferguson…..wow what a voice and delivery.
And her beauty! She’s absolutely gorgeous! She should’ve had a film career too!
@@shaewilliams7426 She has been living in England since she left the group and has been in a number of musicals there.
This song still gives me INSANE chills all over my body. So beautiful ❤
She's so gorgeous 🥰
THEY are so gorgeous !!
If you're talking about Sheila Ferguson I'd absolutely totally agree with you xxxx 😅❤❤😅
All these girls had beautiful voices unlike the Supremes where Diana Ross was the only one that could sing

Meninas fantasticas cantando pra um publico congelado... tem que pensar que existe outros assistindo pela tv, talvez, e usar seu talento...

I love how they interview, very poised!! It would've helped if the interviewer could get their names straight.

I saw this most recent lineup ( With Helen) 2015, twice! Valerie was kind enough to pose with me after the Atlantic city show . Beautiful 😍.
@@brianmoran3450 oh that is great!
All of them are beautiful but Valerie was adorable ❤
Gente, el publico de escandinabia es asi, pero saben apreciar lo bueno y tienen fuego en el corazon. Gracias amigos!!!!!!!
The band is opening with "T.S.O.P. (The Sound Of Philadelphia)" which was also used as the theme of "Soul Train" from 1973 to 1975.
Marvelouis vocals with a great band. Philly Soul at its best.

Sonidos de Philadelphia ,inolvidable ❤
R.I.P. Ms. Pinkney.
Back in the day when you had to hustle live & hard to make a living.
Especially for zombie ass crowds like the one they're in front of here.
Magnificent🤩😍
Omg I didn’t know they made the soul train song😮
WOW THERE VOICES ARE UNPARREL TO ANY OTHER GIRL GROUP DURING THE 70's
❤❤❤Great harmony 👏🏽👏🏽🥂I think they sound better than the Supremes 🎤🎤🎤, Sheila still Performs in London I believe, And Val also still performs.
Well one of the current members is a member of the Supremes not the original ones though.
I love Valerie's growling.

Dry audience. All that electric energy and emotionless faces staring back at them. That’s crazy lol

Yeah I also felt that he was quite the rude interviewer... 😖😖
LOVE ❤️ them so much
What's the name of the song Fayette sang at 21:20 ? It's stunning. She sang it with passion. The orchestration and arrangement were wonderful.
It’s a song by the Carpenters called “I won’t last a day without you”.
