Honestly, the more I let my lips stay tight, the more satisfied I am with the way I sound when I do these mid ranged screams. It might be one of those things that just work for me, but I'm constantly paying attention to it and making sure it doesn't hurt my progression towards my sound. Thank you!
Scarlett solo interface with an sm7b microphone! For plug-ins, Gain Reduction is is great tool for compressing your vocals and making them sound solid off the bat. I also eq and add reverb, but there's a bunch of different options that work fine for that. You can hear how I've progressed with my recordings if you compare my latest covers to my first. Getting started is the best thing you can do to progress!

My screams are different on those songs because it was in the past, and I was still figuring things out. With our new music, I use this style of vocals like in this cover a good amount more, and learned how to make it fit in the rest of my ranges. Hopefully it'll be out soon!
