Ah, the lack of regulations in the middle of nowhere in vietnam, freedom! Hope there are no issues with boat being too big to go through. Good construction, massive job for 1 woman or man for that matter. Would have made it a draw bridge and claimed the island for myself, lol.
Hello Dung have a great day watching this video from Nepal you are a greater person because you have extra talent and brave that's amazing lots of support and love for your good job ❤❤❤❤
Great type of construction , I think a point added to the up stream end of each of the piers would lower the water stress on the piers during higher water flow giving greater durability in flood periods again great work
………what? How is that possible doesnt matter how much up stream you build you will always be building down stream . How can you lower the stress on this by doing that is it is literally impossible .
@@Rustedinmyshackleferd I'm pretty sure they meant to add a triangle to the upstream section of this pier. It would be attached. The tip would cause the water to split and flow more smoothly past the pier thus reducing drag. EDIT: like an airplane wings leading edge.
@@Moriandrizzt yea cause i was wondering how there gonna keep this during a serious flood or down poor. From historical perspectives bridges like this on there own didnt last long. Normally there would be something built to help split the stream in some way or another but im not entirely sure about this bridge at all. My grandpa when i was a kid would take me to work with him he was a bridge inspector for the entire state of west virginia and he stated this bridge wouldnt hold. But stated if they put pillons behind the bridge innthe direction the stream was flowing toward the bridge in a V pattern they could potentially keep the bridge during a flood all depending on how they backed the V.
She definitely is doing the work. Anyone with a skilled eye can tell that her familiarity, balance, use of hand tools... Especially the wooden mallet is something that she has spent time doing. If only i could have a partner like her. Damn the stuff that we would build together!
Dung, this is a marvellous effort by yourself and any others who assist you, it will make things so much more convenient for everyone and is just an incredible project, well done
Its people like this young woman we should be encouraging our children to emulate, hard working, self reliant, and independent not these Hollywood air heads who think its a major disaster if they break a finger nail .
The majority of these "bush craft" videos are heavily produced. typically they will build some stuff noone need, annoy the local population and leave a mess afterward. Hoping that this isnt that, but you can be sure there is a team of cheap laborers who are doing the actual work, while the videos show only one or two people working "doing it all by themselves, because you know hard working" *swoon* Some skepticism of what you see on youtube is in order, a lot is complete bullshit thats flavoured for our tastes.
@@barrygillis spot on, if its too good to be true, it is. Theres a lot of these fake channels and they still have some appeal even though you know its fake, bright ideas and all. tbh i'd actually rather see the real video with the full team and how they do the division of labour, but the reality would be cement mixers, mini diggers and hidden pallets full of materials.
Lots of hard work done by a very dedicated young woman. Ingenious design for the bridge piers. Thank you for sharing this Ingenious and entertaining video. 🙈🙉🙊 😎 🇺🇸
This is absolutely fabulous. Such much hard work. I do wonder what she is going to do to further secure the rocks when the bamboo rots in two years. The bamboo she's looks very green and not at all dried and treated to last and even if it was the direct contact with the water would rapidly rot it either way. It makes sense for a temporary place holder. I look forward to her next steps on how she resolves this issue.
Perhaps she knows more about the construction capabilities of the many types of bamboo she has been using her entire life - than you do. Seems possible.
@@mikelazure7462 Of perhaps this is yet another content farm where that put some eye candy in front of the camera and have a couple dozens locals putting everything together hidden by careful edits. 🙄 Then the thing they made falls apart less than a month later.
She doesn't do anything close to all of that shit. Believe it.. there are many others doing alot of the work off camera. There is probably even some heavy machinery off camera somewhere. This type of thing has been proven for most of these type of channels.
Right at the 5:22 min mark, you can easily here someone honking a horn for possibly a dozer, log cutter, or auto mobile of some sort. But the description says she is alone and off grid. Bullshit. Just a clever ploy to get views. Probably wouldn't get anywhere near the views it gets if it was described as a woman with construction crew and heavy equipment builds primitive bridge on shallow stream.
Hahaha.. and look at the dirt road with tire tracks and what not that leads from the edge of the river. They didnt even try for this one at all. Cheap as hell.

Man!! What amazing work that off camera construction crew and their machinery did. Too bad they didn't stick around instead of heading out on that dirt road that leads to other buildings in the back round.
Молодец, гигантский труд. Только почему одна? Так делали плотины и мосты раньше, дерево и камни, но всё зависело от глубины и наличия камня. Ещё раз молодец .

Wont the holes in the bamboo tear or rott, i belive this is why bamboo should always be bound and not nailed? Anyways very cool project.

I had a trellis made of bamboo. After one year, it was rotting, and after 2 years, it fell apart. The bamboo has completely decomposed now.
I would like to see the final finished bridge
I enjoy seeing women work hard and want this to be real.
❤❤ DID U DO IT BY YOUR SELF?? WHY?? WHY NOT WITHE HELP OF OTHERS??
i suggest taking the stones from the downstream side in the future
The way she carry the bamboo is different
You are great engineer , name the bridge after you
